User ImageBusara was sitting by the stream that ran through the lands. She didn't know why she liked it here so much, but it always made her feel content sitting by the flowing water. She had woken up that day to the sight of five small hungry faces. So, after feeding them, she brought them out of the large cave again. Busara was happy that they were finally big enough to be brought outside as she was beginning to go stir crazy sitting in the den with them. Everything was new to the lioness, she'd never had children before, and she only hoped that she was doing was she was supposed to do with them. It always made her a little bit anxious to know that there were small cubs that were totally dependent on her.

User ImageNabila tentatively approached the stream that her mother was sitting by. She had been playing with her sisters and brothers until she'd stopped to take a break. She was considering drinking the water from the stream, but she didn't particularly want to accidentally fall in. It didn't look that deep, but still. So, she crouched down next to the water, and leaned forward. Unfortunately, she was still very small, and the momentum carried her forward and she found herself splashing in the water. "Ah!", she exclaimed and hurriedly leapt out of the stream, shaking the water from her fur. When Busara looked at her, she quickly said,"I'm okay mama!"

User ImageMahiri didn't care for these awful hot days. There wasn't even a breeze as she left her den this morning, and since then she didn't feel any cooler. Today had so far been a lazy day for Mahiri, more than usual you could say. The lioness was a born procrastinator and preferred to live in a now, enjoying life's pleasures. And at this very moment, even though technically she should have been spending her day hunting, she felt like moseying down to the stream and taking a nice long drink. Maybe there would even be a bit of shade to nap in.

Filled with these whimsies, as she approached the streambed she wasn't really paying attention. All the green lioness knew was that one moment she was thinking about slating her thirst, and the next she heard a series of splashes, and then a very young-sounding voice. Alarmed, Mahiri picked up speed, dashing to the water just in time to hear the last part, “I'm okay mama!” Feeling sheepish, Mahiri breathed a short sigh and then tried to re-compose herself. She probably looked pretty silly, running up on this mother and her young cub and looking all upset for nothing! “Erm... hi,” she started, the normally talkative lioness suddenly at a loss for words.

"Be careful Nabila! I can't have you drowning on me," Busara said with a tip of humor. The small girl seemed to be fine despite having just face planted into the stream. She tried to teach her cubs not to play in the water that everyone drinks from, so she'd been alarmed at the sound of one of her cubs flailing in the water. Busara found herself startling more easily with the additional paranoia that raising small cubs gave her. Nevertheless, they seemed to be fine now. When she heard the sound of a familiar voice, she turned around to see Mahiri standing nearby. "Oh, hi Mahiri, how are you today?," she noticed that the lioness seemed a little riled, and quickly said with a laugh,"I'm sorry if my brats are scaring you, but are you can see they are all perfectly fine," she said and indicated the cubs paying no attention to their conversation when she saw one little girl in particular approach.

"Okay I will!," the cub announced before bounding off to tackle one of her brothers. She didn't notice the green lioness that had approached at first, she was busy rolling around in the grass. As stood from the ground and prepared a second assault on her brother, she noticed that her mother was talking to someone. She looked to see a green lioness that she thought she might have seen before. Instantly forgetting her wrestling game, she bounded over to her mother to inspect the new lioness. Nabila stood close to her mother and gazed curiously at the other adult before deciding to interject in the conversation and introduce herself. "Hi, I'm Nabi!"
