Ohhh, it was so marvelous, so marvelous! Finally, Terpsichore was taking a trip to the big city, and could find out what all the residents did during a routine day! Sure, with so many people bustling around, she was sure to be ignored more than usual, being just your average, tame pokémon wandering the streets... but that could work for the better, too!

Truth was, the small town wasn't a large city at all, but Terpsichore wasn't about to nitpick about the details. She was happy just to finally be able to be surrounded by people. However, Terp still wasn't sure she was talented enough to be here yet... she still deemed it necessary to work a bit more before she could surround herself in the human populace and pass as one of them. Maybe this submersion "program" would help with that, though?

She giggled in excitement, anxious, as she hopped onto a concrete bench built into the side of the bridge. However, she could not reach the top of the back, and pouted upon realizing this. She jumped again, wiggling the frills around her waist in a futile attempt to latch onto the side. Aww, but she wanted to see the harbor! She had heard passersby mention how nice it looked from up here as they passed...

“I can’t believe you did that Sasha!” Lexi exclaimed, as Sasha pulled herself out of the water and onto the dock. “That water is so dirty! And you are wearing normal clothing! Well, I don’t think normal really described your clothes, but still, they aren’t swimwear!”

“But I wanted to go for a swim, and the water isn’t that dirty; you just stay away from the trash. It’s not like there are any grimers about!” Sasha couldn’t understand why Lexi thought the things she did were so odd; who doesn’t like swimming? Well, other than fire types.

Meadow couldn’t help but giggle throughout her two roommate’s brief conversation. She found them both very amusing. At times, they seemed to bicker like an old, married couple. Her stomachs growling, she asked, “Shouldn’t we be getting lunch though? There was a food cart back on the bridge, I think?”

Both Lexi and Sasha’s eyes widened at the mention of food. Having both forgotten what they had been arguing about, they led the way.

At their rate of travel, they had made it to the cart rather quickly. The street vendor in question was selling Dango. Meadow ordered 1 skewer, Lexi, on the other hands ordered 3. Sasha, not to be topped, ordered 6 skewers of the delicious dumplings. As they ate, Meadow noticed a Shroomish that looked like it was trying to hop on top of a bench. Walking over, she asked, “Do you need some help?”

Seeing her head over, both Lexi and Sasha followed. They said nothing, however, as their mouths were crammed full of food

Having another go at reaching the edge of the bench-back, Terpsichore had little warning of an oncoming entourage behind her until the pink-skinned human-miltank was practically beside her. After another failed leap, she sighed in defeat, practically deflating in overplayed drama.

It was then that she saw -- and heard -- Meadow talk to her. To her! <<YEEEK!>> the shroomish shrieked, her frills bristling outward in her surprise. Staring wide-eyed at the teen, she fumbled around her mind before she found the words to ask, <<You're talking to me?>> The fungus-pokémon took a small glance about the area and saw no other option for the question to have been imposed. Gathering her bearings back up, she inhaled sharply and shot a meaningful scowl at the miltank-girl, <<Well I never! That is no way to treat a fine lady such as myself! Sneaking up on me like that, you nearly gave me a heart attack!>> Terpsichore harrumphed in emphasis, turning her head away, upturned.

She opened a single eye to look back at Meadow before the rest of her body turned with her gaze. She grinned brightly and bounced once in place, <<Whaddaya think, pretty good, huh? I sounded just like a movie star, didn't I?>> She giggled, grinning broadly before she issued apologies, <<Sorry if I upset you any. Umm... yes, I was trying to see over the bridge. I heard the harbor looks lovely from up here from the locals and I-- HOLY TOLEDO! Is that dango?>> She hadn't even realized that there was a cart up here, in her distraction with the sights.

Meadow couldn’t help but jump slightly as the Shroomish jumped in shock. She proceeded to stare, somewhat slack jawed, as the little Pokémon put on its act. Momentarily stunned, it wasn’t until she talked of dango that Meadow was able to react, She suddenly exclaimed, “You are so adorable!” and then proceeded to pick up the Shroomish in her hands and twirl around, holding the Shroomish high in the air. “Do you live by yourself? Do you want to come home with me?” She had never before seen a Shroomish, but, from now on, she would surely look at them in awe, thanks to the encounter with this particular one.

Lexi and Sasha couldn’t help but giggle as they witnessed, first the Shroomish’s reaction and then Meadow’s reaction to the Shroomish’s reaction. Swallowing her mouthful of dango, Lexi giggled out, “Hello! I am Lexi; you’ve already met Meadow. How are you?” She couldn’t help but think that the Shroomish seemed so full of life.

“Ewwo,” Sasha mumbled out through a mouth full of dango. Unlike Lexi, she didn’t bother to swallow her food first. Tilting her head to the side, she leaned in close to the Shroomish, after Meadow’s spinning came to a stop. “Ood oo ike a ango?” she asked, as she held out one of the dango sticks. She couldn’t deny this cute little Pokémon some dango and she could always get more!

Terpsichore jumped slightly, barely visible, as she was grabbed by the sides and hoisted into the air. After the momentary confusion, she copied the glee that Meadow was displaying and placed it on her own face to show her similar emotions. <<Woah! Heehee, aww thank you! You're super nice!>> she responded, chipper. Her face contorted a bit into a hint of regret, liking the idea of staying with someone that appreciated her like this, but her mind had already been made. <<I do. Live with someone, that is. Just recently, in fact!>> she explained with a bit of a dramatic pout before continuing, <<Doesn't mean I can't visit very often, if you'd like, though!>> Goodness, this girl was so generous! She almost felt bad turning down the offer!

Luckily, Meadow didn't seem to spin Terpsichore around enough to make the fungal pokémon too dizzy, so she was able to focus on the paler hybrid almost immediately. <<Oh! It's good to meet you as well, Lexi!>> she beamed, then glanced up to the one currently holding onto her, <<And you as well, Meadow! My name is Terpsichore. You can call me 'Terp' if you want. Everyone else at home does.>> She sighed a bit with a shrug, <<They're all too lazy to say my full name, it seems. Too fancy for them. Oh well, it's not like I can blame them! Anyways, I'm good, I just wanted to see what I could of the big city life! Oooh, and I can see the harbor from this height! If you could, Meadow, point me in that direction, please?>> She was practically bouncing in the miltank-teen's hands.

Blinking at the question Sasha posed, it took her a moment to decipher what exactly the bright teen was saying through the mouthful of dumpling. She cringed a little inwardly, finding her etiquette rather atrocious, but not something she couldn't look past. In all honesty, no matter how mundane the manners, she was eager to grab all the friends she could; after all, Sasha seemed just as kind as her companions! It was just something that the tiny shroomish was going to have to look past! <<Oh, really? You'd offer one to me? Oh, but I don't have any way of paying you back at all!>> she stated. Frowning, she thought of some way it would be possible, even if it turned into an IOU, but was at a loss.

“Oh, you live with someone already?” Meadow replied, a hint of disappointment in her tone. She would have really liked to take Terpsichore home with her. Smiling, she added, “Well, it is a pleasure to meet you Terpsichore. You should definitely come over and visit sometime!” She couldn’t help but giggle as the Terp bounced in her hands; she seemed so lively and cheerful. At the little Shroomish’s request, she happily pointed her at the harbor. “So,” she began, curious about the little Pokémon’s home life, “what’s your family like? Who do you live with?”

“It is nice to meet you as well, Terpischore!” Lexi giggled out; this little Grass Type has quite the name. Lexi thought she was cute as well, and on top of that, she could sense the other girl’s positive attitude. She soon found herself just as taken with the girl as Meadow was. It didn’t hurt that Lexi has always been partial to Grass Types. Nodding in agreement, she added, “Yes! You should come over and visit! We could play games and you could have dinner with us!”

Swallowing her mouthful of food, Sasha answered, with a silly grin. “Of course; I can always get more.” Sticking her tongue out slightly, she moved the already extended stick of Danjo right next to Terp, so that the Shroomish could either grasp it, if she had the means, or just bite off the stick. Sasha wasn’t really sure how functional the frills that surrounded Terp were. Sasha was pretty sure that the Shroomish was a Grass Type, but she had the urge to find out for certain. A mischievous grin spreading across her face, she leaned in and licked.

“SASHA!” Meadow and Lexi exclaimed in unision.

Terpsichore nodded solemnly to Meadow as she reiterated what the shroomish had said, again miming what she felt off of the pale-haired teen -- which was rather easy, for not only did the poké-girl not try to hide the emotions too securely, but Terp was feeling a bit of the feeling as well. <<I would love to visit with all of you! You all live together? It would be lovely. Have some tea, talk about careers...>> she listed, still attempting to play the part of an amiable actress. Until, that is, that she remembered it would be a tad difficult to drink tea without being able to lift the cup to her mouth. <<Oh wow, so spectacular!>> she gaped as she was turned to face the outcropping of sea, <<Those people I overheard weren't kidding!>>

She mused for a few moments, not turning her eyes from the sight as she responded a few moments later, <<Hmm, well... they're an interesting bunch, if I do say so myself. Not the most.. hn, usual of individuals that ever walked the planet. They're all very different! Oh, and one of them is like you guys, too! You're pokémon, aren't you?>> Her eyes seemed to sparkle as she mentioned it, <<You're all so lucky! What I wouldn't give to be human!>> She sighed wistfully, but was not without cheer.

Terpsichore blinked at Sasha's reply, her attention back on the bright girl. <<Oh... I suppose you're right, but it costs, doesn't it? I wouldn't want to put you out or anything...>> the shroomish murmured, but temptation was so close and smelled so delicious... Really, the choice was already made for her, and she gleefully took the skewer by the top dumpling, holding the bottom one between her two green feet. <<Than'koo vurry muck!>> she cheered, feeling slightly embarrassed -- if a bit closer to the group -- with her hypocritical action of talking with her mouth full. In her distraction with trying to hold the dango without dropping it, she fastened the skewer into place with her feet just in time to be confronted with a welcome-lick from Sasha. <<Oh... oh my,>> she managed to sputter. It wasn't every day Terpsichore thought she'd be licked by someone who resembled a human more than a... well, house cat or something. She snickered a bit half-heartedly, wondering if she should have expected it. Was it like a kiss or something? Was she just overly affectionate? Well, Terpsichore wasn't about to pass judgement on something so harmless, <<Hello to you, too!>>
PostPosted: Sun Apr 01, 2012 3:45 am

“Yep! We all live together!” Meadow exclaimed, and then added, “Actually, there is the three of us and two other, younger girls; one is a Combee named Honey and the other is a Lilligant named Lilly. They are also, well, Pokémon like us, Pokémon that have changed into, well, whatever we are.” She didn’t have a problem with what she was, she just wasn’t always sure how best to describe it. “That sounds like it would be very fun! Though talking about careers? You mean about how you want to be a great actress?” She couldn’t help but giggle at that last part. Scanning the view, Meadow added, “It is quite a view, isn’t it.”

“Eh, they are real cheap, no worries,” Sasha replied with a smile. All three girls couldn’t help but giggle as Terp set to work eating, using her feet that, thanks to her being suspended in the air, were needed to keep her standing.

“Yep, definitely Grass Type,” Sasha said to no one in particular, after tasting the Shroomish.

Shaking her head slightly, Lexi asked, “Did you really need to lick her to figure that out?”

Giggling, Sasha replied, “Hello Terp!” and slid another dango skewer into her mouth, emptying the skewer in one mouthful.

“So what brings you here, Terpsichore?” Lexi asked, giggling as she said the Shroomish’s name.

<<Oh wow, you have quite a filled little abode, don't you?>> Terpsichore exclaimed. The amount of people listed that lived in one home didn't seem to bother the small shroomish; in fact, she was now eager to meet them all, and in a comfortable setting for them as well! Not that it seemed as though any of the three teens were uncomfortable about chatting in the middle of a bridge, halfway through a normally busy main street, but she couldn't be one-hundred-percent about it. Her frills waved about in excitement, <<That is sooo so so COOL! Ahh, how nice it must be to be human... That's always been a dream of mine, you know. It's why I practice so hard! There aren't too many people who would willingly hang out with a shroomish such as myself.>> She giggled, glad that she was currently being proven wrong in that respect. <<Uh-huh, like that! I'm sure you've got something you want to do with your life, too! Even if they're just short-term goals! I suppose... I should have used the word 'goals' instead, huh?>> she queried. Yes, that would have been much better usage, but she wasn't sure if an actress would use the terminology quite as fluidly. Regardless, she was still beaming, <<It is quite lovely! Thank you very much for helping me see it; I don't know if I could have otherwise!>>

The small pokémon didn't mind the giggling that her actions had produced; she was rather content where she was, and as long as she wasn't making waves, she was happy. In fact, the laughter was a good sign! It meant she was getting along spectacularly with them all, right? She grinned at the thought as she began munching on the top dumpling of the offered skewer, careful to keep the end in a vice grip with her feet. Between mouthfuls, she glanced back up at Sasha, <<Grass-type? I could have told you-- Oh! Is that why you licked me?>> She was rather astonished at the revelation, actually! It hadn't dawned on Terpsichore that her type may have been a glaring obviousness.

The mushroom-pokémon tried to twirl the skewer in her feet while she thought, but it didn't seem to work out as well as she would have hoped, toppling over instead before she tightened her grip once more to right it up again. <<Originally, I just wanted to see the town. I wasn't actually invited to, but I... invited myself to?>> she snickered, <<I followed Nix into town. Um, that's the silly man I'm staying with. I got distracted and lost track of him, though.>> She frowned briefly before she turned her gaze back upward, <<Could you maybe help me find him? It doesn't have to be right away, I don't even know what you three were up to before I distracted you! Did you come to see the sights, too? Or do you live here?>>

“Yeah, there are a lot of us there; luckily there is plenty of ruin. Actually, the owner of the place, Celes, just had finished building an addition when I moved in. Otherwise it might have been rather close quarters,” she replied with a smile. Though, even if things had been a bit more cramped, she wouldn’t have minded. It still wouldn’t have been nearly as cramped as when she was a normal Miltank, living on a farm. Now that was very close quarters. “You have always wanted to be a human?” she asked, surprised to hear that from the Shroomish. She would have never even thought of the possibility, before her transformation. Answering the Shroomish’s question, she stated, “I’m not really sure… I haven’t thought much about it…. I do like helping other Pokémon though…. That’s actually how I met all my roommates. I patched up a skinned knee that Honey had.”

“Yep, that’s why I licked you!” Sasha exclaimed happily. “When I lick Pokémon, I can taste their type!”

“That’s what you claim,” Lexi countered, shaking her head slightly. Turning to Terp, she added, “Really, it just seems like common sense to me. Anyways, she is wrong about half the time.”

“Which means I am right half the time!” Sasha replied with a self assured nod. “Isn’t that amazing Terp?”

“You don’t need to be invited to come to time,” Sasha exclaimed.

“That’s true; otherwise Sasha would never be able to come!” Lexi added with a laugh.

“Hey!” Sasha exclaimed with a flick of her tail that sent drops of water flying at the other 3 girls, even though Lexi had been the only intended target.

Being sprinkled with water only made Lexi laugh more and Sasha soon joined her in the laughing.

A smile on her face, Meadow first wiped her face and then Terp’s, before answering her question. “We live a ways out of town, off in the wilderness. We just came here for a day trip; not for any specific reason though.”

<<That sounds so exciting, to be living with a group of such interesting individuals! I mean, I'm sure the lot of you are quite the interesting bunch already!>> Terpsichore giggled, the little social butterfly getting excited over the mere aspect of the place being much like a workshop of roommates of sorts. <<Suppose I can't complain about my situation, either. I get to see so many sights, living on the road like this!>> she nodded, grinning. At Meadow's question, Terpsichore wondered if that was particularly bizarre of the shroomish to wish for; they hadn't become the way they were for wishing for it hard enough? Well, she supposed that made sense... Endymion hadn't really wished for it either, had he? Hmm... then... then how did it work? Oh well, she'd figure it out eventually. She could even ask around if she became too discouraged, but as of yet, she didn't feel the need. <<Aww, that was quite nice of you to do for your roommate! I'm sure Honey was very grateful for that!>> the shroomish chirped, <<And if you like helping people so much, that should be the focus of your goals for yourself! It doesn't even have to be career-related... as long as it makes you happy, why not do it?>> Who knows? It may even point toward a career if one kept at it!

Terpsichore focused her attention on Sasha with awe. She could really tell the type that often, merely by taste? <<Suppose that percentage could rise in time with practice! That's amazing! It's almost like you've created a new move for yourself, that no other pokémon has learned before! Haha, Sasha, you and your Type-Tasting,>> she jabbed verbally, though was still quite fascinated. There was no reason to puncture anyone's balloon, so to speak, <<I'm not sure I could taste the type of anyone if I licked them!>>

She was caught by surprise with the water being flung at the group of girls, first wondering where it had come from before noticing that Sasha was probably at least partly water-type to be able to do such a thing so effortlessly. It wasn't until Meadow had wiped the water from Terp's face did she snap out of her mental inquiry with the laughter that seemed to be rather addictive, but not before realizing that she should finish the dango at her feet quickly if Sasha attempted to do that again. She didn't want the gift to get soggy! <<Well, nobody really needs a reason, do they? Just having fun sounds like as good of one as any, though!>> she stated before taking to finishing her dango.
PostPosted: Fri Jun 01, 2012 7:57 pm

“It is exciting,” Meadow replied, “you never know what will happen next.” Then, eying Lexi and Sasha, she added, “Well, other than those two bickering, they do it all the time. And well thank you… Maybe it could be. A goal I mean.”

Ignoring Meadow’s observation of them, because she couldn’t really argue with it, Lexi asked, “Oh? What sorts of places have you been?”

Rolling her eyes, Lexi replied, “Oh, she has plenty of practice. She licks everyone she meets. She has even licked an Arceus and a Groudon. Though, she screwed up on the Arceus.”

“I told you he tasted dry! And anyways, they can change types…so that doesn’t count.”

“What about the scyther?” Lexi teased with a grin, “you completely missed the flying part of his type.”

“I got the bug part right though!”

“Just looking at him, you should have been able to guess that!”

Meadow shook her head and giggled at their bickering, this was quite normal for them.

Upon seeing Terp quickly finish her dango, the laughing of the girls quickly turned into more giggling. Leaning in, Lexi stated, “That is so cute, the way you do that.” Suddenly, in response to Terp’s actions, Lexi had to try something. Lifting a foot up, she gripped it in a hand and brought it up closer to her face, as she did this, her other leg bent, so that her other foot was sticking out behind her. Sticking the end of a dango stick between her big toe and the toe next to it, she gripped it tightly and took a bite. “Ta da!” she exclaimed with a mouthful of Dango.

Meadow and Sasha couldn’t help but laugh at that. As the two laughed, Lexi replied, her mouth still partially full of dango, “Yep, having fun is a great reason!

Terpsichore's grin threatened to crack her mushroom cap-like face in half, at this rate. She really was just having too much fun with these girls! <<I would imagine it'd be! Especially with people like you have here! I mean, you seem to all get along great, all things considered. It's almost like you grew up as siblings to me!>> she pointed out; even the bickering was something only close friends or sisters would do, when they could do so and come out of the verbal battle without any hurt feelings! She wriggled her frills in excitement, glad that her suggestion to Meadow was a somewhat beneficial one, <<Hey, even if it doesn't work out, it might lead to what you REALLY want to do with your life! You just gotta be open to ideas! I try to be that way, but I sometimes fear that I'm just a bit bull-headed with what I want!>>

She resituated the dango skewer in her feet as Lexi asked her where she'd been, thinking of all the places over, <<Well, I grew up in the woods, so for a good long while, that's where I could be found. Traveled to a bit of the nearby forests and prairies and whatnot to visit other pokémon habitats, then I started traveling to the small towns near those. I probably didn't really visit as many as it seemed like, but when you're this small, they seem like they're pretty big and different! But this is definitely the biggest town I've been in!>> She had to be careful not to flail her small limbs in exuberance, <<And this isn't even a city! I can only imagine how big THOSE are!>> Unfortunately, she really didn't know the geography by their given names, only by what they looked like.

Watching the little feud between the two bright teens, Terpsichore listened intently to their arguments. Arceus? Groudon? <<Wow, you sure have met some amazing pokémon!>> she gaped, though tried to be quiet about it, so as not to interrupt. A frown cut through her sunshine-like exterior when they started to mention a scyther, sure that it could have been coincidence (there was more than one out in the world, after all), but she wasn't completely convinced. <<You guys couldn't possibly mean Endymion...>> she nearly huffed, though was extremely amused at the thought.

The shroomish blinked at Lexi, wondering what she was planning on doing after calling her actions cute. <<Heehee, thanks! But what..?>> she asked before she gaped in awe, <<Oh! Oh, you can do it, too! Bravo!>> It was about this time that she found it was hard to applaud without hands, and it was ineffective to try it with her feet. There was something else she observed by this turn of events, something she hadn't really noticed before, <<Oh, and you can float! I didn't even realize that!>> Two applaud-worthy acts in one!
PostPosted: Sat Jun 16, 2012 7:22 pm

“I kind of think of them as sisters,” Meadow stated, a wide smile on her face. She was so happy that she had met them when she had. She had no idea where she was going and a family practically fell into her lap. She felt lucky. She couldn’t help but start giggling at Terp’s bullheaded comment though. “You bull-headed? I’m way more bull-headed then you, what with the horns and all.” After she stopped giggling for a moment, she added, “But really, thank you for the suggestions.”

“It sounds like you have been lots of places,” Meadow replied in awe, “I haven’t been nearly that many places. Just at the farm I grew up on, and then in the wilderness some, when I moved out, but then I moved in with all my roommates and, since then, I mostly have just gone to town. Lexi, Sasha, Honey, and Lilly are the big explorers in my family. They go all over.”

“Yeah, we have-“ Lexi started, before hearing what Terp said next. “You know Endy?” she asked, somewhat shocked. What were the chances that this shroomish knew the same scyther she had mid. The odds seemed so slim, but, apparently she did. Lexi still felt bad about how their last meeting had gone; she had frightened him, but she hadn’t meant to. Her feelings on the subject were quite obvious on her face.

“Wow, you know him too?” Sasha echoed out after Lexi’s comment, “My tongue got stuck to his shell. He tasted a bit bitter with a hidden hint of sweetness.”

“Wait a minute,” Meadow stated, pieces of the puzzle coming together in her head, “You, you’re Terp; you like curry right? So you are one of the Pokémon coming to dinner with Endymion then?” She couldn’t believe that she had just run into her like this, the odds were so very slim. It was most unusual.

“Yep! I can,” Lexi giggled out in reply, through a mouth full of dango. Nodding at Terp’s next comment, she added,”Yep, ever since I grew and well, um, changed, I have been able to levitate. It’s real fun! And I don’t have to worry about wearing shoes.”

Terpsichore wondered, with that statement from Meadow, if she should have been thinking of Endymion and Margarita as siblings as well, instead of the roommates she tended towards referring to them as. In a throwback from pokémon-hood, she sometimes even called them team members, even though Nix was quite obviously never going to use the three of them in your average pokémon battle against any trainer. It felt weird to do so, for her, though. She didn't have siblings, in a blood related sense, so never had actually used the terminology before in reference to herself. The small shroomish burst into giggles at the miltank's joke, however, breaking such concentration. She tried to explain herself, knowing she really didn't have to, <<I didn't mean that literally! Hee hee, that was a good one!>>

The little mushroom tried to glance up at Meadow with the comment, but being so rotund made such a task a bit too difficult. <<Oh it really only seems like it's so many places because I'm so short! Honestly, any one of those may have been somewhere I actually had been before, but hadn't seen that side to or something! For all I know, I may not have ever left a single region at all!>> She was amused with this thought, but it certainly didn't burst any of her bubbles. She had seen a lot, even if it may ultimately have only been in a small sector's worth! <<Ooh, a farm? I haven't visited one of those before! I don't suppose you could ever show me any time, huh?>> the pokémon queried. She really did want to learn about all walks of life, and a life out in the field like that was something she hadn't had the capabilities of doing before.

The fungus of a pokémon blinked in disbelief as Lexi confirmed her suspicions, no matter how unexpected they were. <<You're serious, aren't you?>> she gaped. But Endymion never got out! How was it that she ran into other turned pokémon that he had met as well? The simple fact that he even conversed with anyone was surprising, honestly; it actually made her mildly envious, if only for the fact that he had given her the cold shoulder almost as soon as she arrived. Something else was off, though, something big, <<Wait, he actually let you LICK HIM?>> Did she really even know the kid at all?

She blinked, realizing that she had been staring. A grin cracked out across her face again and she bobbed her body, <<Oh yes, I adore curry! Oh.... I think he had mentioned something about that, yes, I remember! Wow, you mean I can see you guys again that soon?>> She kicked her feet a little at that in excitement, but not enough to send the dango skewer she held between them flying anywhere.
