From now till the 20th, at 9am, a new prompt will be posted for your trolls, giving them choices on how they will proceed. Each member of a team must choose the same option, as they are all sticking together! Teams can post individually or all collaborate on one post. Either way, please include the number of the option taken, your team members, and your trolls/teams current HP at the top of each post. All trolls start out with their normal full health, 20 HP. Mark beside team member names if they have completed adequate training in Scouting or Guarding by a S or G by their names.
If a team misses more than two prompt replies, they are assumed to have fallen so far behind from all the other groups that they have become lost and are out of the game.

Setting out the very moment the sun had set, the main bulk of the search party began to trek down the old, cracked road. Eventually it started to split up, as the faster trolls took the lead and the slower trolls fell behind, with some trolls striking out on their own and others sticking together in small groups. Sooner or later however, all the trolls eventually reached the point where sandy dirt and withered shrubs had reclaimed the ground in front of them, blowing over and breaking up through the path until it became impossible to see where the road was. Reaching this dilemma, what have you and any trolls with you decided to do?

1) Hmm. Decisions are hard. And scary. Maybe you should look to see where other trolls are going? After all, you'd rather be lost in a group than on your own. You hang back and follow after another troll who looks like they know what they're doing.

2) You think you can kind of guess where the path was heading. After all, it was going in one direction, and if you keep walking forward in the same direction, you're bound to pick it up again. After all, you should be able to tell if you're walking in the same direction as before, right?

3) Standing around and thinking won't get you any closer to finding the greenblood, nor will following some old path. If there really is a troll hiding out here, they wouldn't be dumb enough to build right by the road where anyone could spot them. You randomly pick a direction, and off into the wilderness you go!

Choice 3

Team Girl Squad
Athene - HP: 20/20
Odette - HP: 20/20
Vremea - HP: 20/20

Odette would need to psychologically prepare for such a daring feat. Using that one hour of preparation given by the rebel leader, Odette managed to turn herself into something that might actually be considered slightly frightful by a troll with less-than-average intelligence. She used her own blood as war paint, and adorned herself a feather headdress made out of Swanmom's excess feathers. To others with higher intelligence, she looked kind of ridiculous. But that didn't matter to Odette. This getup gave Odette temporary confidence, and that's all that mattered to her. Once that was finished, she laced up her big girl ballet flats and tucked her coat away in her pack, acknowledging that it might come in handy later. She said her goodbye to Swanmom, who would be staying at the camp while Odette was searching, surviving off of the scraps in the camp.

As for her role in her team, Odette wasn't much of a leader. On her own, she would have preferred to follow the other trolls and see where they were going, but that wasn't the case. She had to perform as a group. Athene wanted to travel into the wilderness, and who was Odette to put up resistance?

Choice 3

Team Primary Colors
Torero - HP: 20/20
Zeffer - HP: 20/20
Aprife - HP: 20/20

At some point over the past few nights, Aprife had become acutely aware of how torn he was over their situation out here. Normally he hated being cooped up inside for too long, but outside there was nothing but an expanse of sand, and he had come to dislike it just as much. At least inside there were always new trolls to bother, just like back home he found he couldn't count on meeting everyone. Now, as they left the camp to begin the search for the jadeblood, he realized he wouldn't even have that.

It wasn't all bad, though. He wouldn't be alone. And the company was pretty entertaining, to say the least. Aprife found it sort of relieving.

They had hit the end of the path and pretty readily decided to split off into the wilderness. It was almost hard to leave the rest of the journeying trolls from the camp, if only because the yellowblood was hit again with the sudden realization that for however long they stayed out here searching, he wouldn't have any new blood to pester. That didn't mean Zeffer and Torero were at all excused from his gossip mongering, of course. It was only a matter of time.

Team Primary Colors
Torero - HP: 20/20
Zeffer - HP: 20/20
Aprife - HP: 20/20

Red cape draped around his shoulders like a poncho, pack strapped onto his back, goggles over his eyes, Torero was taking the desert on in style. He felt invincible, moreso than usual anyway, feeling like this was the start of his grand journey as they set off into the great unknown. His whole life had been leading up to his moment, his coming-of-age story! It would have everything, just like his novels—drama, intrigue... romance? Torero eyed his partners. He didn't know much about them. Liked them well enough, sure, had plenty of fun with Zeffer—totally moirail material there, right? Oh god what if the goggles meant something. Eyes widening behind the tinted glass, Torero stared up at the blueblood. He'd have to get him a gift, too! Oh damn it now he needed to find a beast to kill or something, make something cool to pay him back, to return his, um, pale advances?

Act cool, Torero. The pages would turn, the plot would thicken, all in good time.

Team Primary Colors

Torero - HP: 20/20
Zeffer - HP: 20/20 G
Aprife - HP: 20/20

Finally, they were off on the much more interesting part of the plan their leader had set out, which was the journey into the desert and the search for the jadeblood. Zeffer was all too happy to give up chores and guard duty and get down to exploring. It'd been too long since he'd been out in the desert, and he seemed to be in high spirits even though it was a pretty nasty place over all. When they'd hit the end of the road, it'd been a pretty easy decision to simply set out. A few of the other teams were doing that too, but it seemed like an alright way to cover lots of ground.

"Oh man, check out that dust devil over there." he cackled and pointed, the dust rising up in a frenzied funnel as the wind whipped it about. He'd never get tired of seeing s**t like that...but he could sense Aprife's unease, and he sought to raise morale with silly banter. "It's funny. You two are from New and Old Hemisect. My new friend is from OHC and Aprife is from NHC. What does it mean!?" he laughed at that observation, finding it all too amusing, unaware of the fact that he probably sounded like a huge dumb a**. He was so distracted he nearly tripped on his own feet, and his laughter finally faded when he noticed that Rero was looking at him kinda funny. He gave him a grin, completely unaware of the thoughts that were going through that little head of his.

"So what's up, you two? I haven't seen you in ages," he nodded at Aprife, "--and Rero...well, I just met you." he grin darkened. "Are you guys here for any reasons...other than to have fun?" he asked. Now there was something he hadn't thought of in a few days. The true cause.

If your troll picked 1, generate a random number between 2 and 3. If you get 2, your troll followed after a troll who took option 2 and you get the same result, if 3, your troll followed after a troll who took option 3 and you get the same result.

If your troll picked 2, you keep walking in the direction you assume the path was going. As time goes by, you become more and more anxious, and eventually you have to stop, as the ground in front of you is broken in half by a deep ravine. Looks like this wasn't the way. Frustrated, you sit down to try and figure out your way back, planting your rear sharply on the thorny branch of a desert frond. Ouch! Loose 1 hp.
Scouts, if you pick 2 you quickly realize that you are heading in the wrong direction. You spend a few minutes consulting your memory and maps before charting a much better course, that leads you quickly through the scrubby desert and gets you back on the road in record-time. Go you!

If your troll picked 3, you've set out into the scrubby desert on the sides of the path, and not looked back. After trekking for a bit, you spot movement ahead of you. It's a large, angry looking, clawed stingerbeast. You begin to edge around it, as one that large could take out an adult troll, but it's spotted you and soon you find yourself running for your life. Eventually the creature looses interest, and stopping to see how bad the cuts on your back are, you notice that you're standing a few steps away from the road you were searching for. A bittersweet victory, but a victory nonetheless. Loose 1 hp.

As the night has stretched onwards, temperatures have slowly been dropping. You've heard that the desert was cold, but you hadn't thought it would be this bad. Your feet and hands are starting to hurt, your eyes are streaming, and a sharp wind has sprung up, blowing the cold through your clothes as though they weren't there at all. To stop and make a fire would be out of the question, not only would it mean you have to spend more time out here, but it also would attract any wild animals in the area. No, you have to find a way to stay warm but stay on the move. How will you do this?

1)You remember when you were young and your lusus used to keep you warm by snuggling up to you. Obviously you don't do that any more, you're big and grown up and don't need to be coddled, but on the other hand, if you found another troll willing to cuddle up to (purely out of necessity), it would keep both you and them warm.

2)Be prepared! While other trolls took nothing but the standard issue gear, you've packed enough sweaters to strangle a trunkbeast. You take a few minutes to pull on a few more layers, a scarf, maybe two, a hat, some gloves, then march stiffly forward, making that funny squick squick noise that a troll wearing snowpants tend to do.

3)This is not just cold, this is a battle. A battle of willpower. And you aren't about to show any other troll just how cold you are, after all, what's stronger, you or a little breeze? There's only one way to stay warm, and that's to walk faster. You pick up the pace, determined to get your blood pumping and show other trolls how it should be done.

Option 2
Team Girl Squad
Athene - HP: 19/20
Odette - HP: 19/20
Vremea - HP: 19/20

Athene was nothing but prepared. Except for possibly attacks by wild beasts but well, that one could easily kill a full grown troll! She was completely justified for running from that thing. But now, as the wind picked up and she shivered, she was glad for her preparedness. She paused as she rummaged around in her bag, digging out another sweater to wear under her fur trimmed poncho that had made a reappearance. She hadn't been too thrilled to take it out in this desert, but she had heard it would be cold and she hadn't had wanted to take any chances. At least her common sense had told her to wear her pants again, which she was very glad for now because that scratchy sand hitting her in the face surely would have made her legs a mess.

Walking along their newly found, and correct, path Athene dragged a sweater on to her, then a couple of scarves, her normal gloves and most of all, a hat on top of her head, all personally hand knit or sewn by Athene. Honestly, she looked completely ridiculous but her warmth made her care a little, okay a lot, less as she marched forward. There was a quick glance back though at the small redblooded girl behind her and even though she had a thick jacket, and looked utterly ridiculous but if she needed what she had on that was her deal and hey Athene wasn't exactly the most normal looking troll at the moment, Athene wasn't sure if she would be okay. Putting her hand in her bag, a spare black sweater was slowly drawn out and offered to the other troll in silence. It couldn't hurt to offer, right?

Option 2

Team Girl Squad
Athene - HP: 19/20
Odette - HP: 19/20 G
Vremea - HP: 19/20

With her war paint smudged and headdress lost, Odette's temporary confidence dwindled to a halt. But she knew she had to carry on for her team. Odette had to deal with coldness on a daily basis, so that was less of a problem for her than the wind was. The wind kicked up sand and scratched her legs up and wow she was stupid for not wearing pants. When Athene stopped to take more clothes out of her bag, Odette did the same, drawing out the thick coat she was so familiar with.

When Athene extended a spare sweater to her, Odette reacted with disbelief, looking around like she expected Athene to be offering the sweater to someone behind her. It would be rude of her to refuse, it looked like a really nice sweater, after all, and Odette could use all the warmth she could get. She took the sweater from Athene, putting it on underneath her coat. It was a tad oversized on her, but it was extremely comfortable nonetheless. "Did you make this yourself?" Odette asked, remembering that the girl said she was a tailor. "Thank you so much for lending it to me," she added, smiling genuinely. "It's a very nice sweater."

Athene - HP: 19/20
Odette - HP: 19/20
Vremea - HP: 19/20

Looking around where they were, Vremea pursed her delicate lips. She was used to the storm, but it was pretty rough and tiring. The scars on her back just worsened the pain of them, especially with the flying dust around her and burying itself into her wounds. Over time, the cold yellowblood pulled out a medium-sized cardigan and two pairs of mittens she had packed. Sliding one pair over her nimble hands, she looked over towards Odette and Athene.

Raising her eyebrows slightly at the warm attire Athene wore, she remembered that the greenblood wasn't as familiar with the desert as she was. She had worn comfortable stockings, and that was all it took. Her eyebrows knit together in a slightly worried expression at Odette as she asked, "Do you need any other clothing besides the sweater? You really do look cold." She gestured to the mittens she had and started digging into her bag for something to keep the other girl warm. Besides, Vremea was already pretty warm with the sweater, mittens and stockings. It wasn't like the sand was going to cut up her jacket into a million pieces.

Torero - HP: 19/20
Zeffer - HP: 19/20 G
Aprife - HP: 19/20

The run in with the stingerbeast had been an exciting but partially unpleasant surprise. It had been way, WAY bigger than any of the ones Zeffer had seen during guard duty, and it hadn't waited a moment to go after their team with claws a'snapping. It'd been funny...for perhaps the first minute or so. Zeffer had carried on screaming and calling out for Aprife and Rero to move their asses, making sure not to slog off through the sand and leave them behind. He'd managed to trip at some point, so by the time they stopped the knees of his pants were shredded and bloodied and he was still digging out a sharp pebble or two that had embedded themselves into his hands.

"Well, at least we managed to find the road again." he said with a grin once they'd caught their breath and were moving on. But now another challenge faced them. Zeffer remembered this...the frigid temperatures that occurred in the late night and early morning hours. It was still way too early to deploy the portable respiteblock. With a shiver, Zeffer zipped his jacket up all the way and tried to shoulder the nippy wind that was biting through his clothes. He side glanced his team mates...and that's when the idea popped into his head.

He knew they had to be just as cold as he was. "Man, it's ********' freezing out here." he said as he looped an arm around Aprife's shoulder, grinning slyly, as if he didn't expect the yellowblood to suspect him of anything (let alone steal body warmth). He proceeded to do the same with his other arm, veering to the side to drape it loosely over the redblood's shoulders. "Good thing I have you two. Red n' yellow, warm as a fire~" he laughed.

The nightly winds of the desert bite at your face relentlessly, or they would have been if you didn't have that scarf wrapped around your head so nicely. That thick ox hide coat from before seems to be helping a lot now too. Now if you could just do something about that hole in your sock.

HP: 19

Every troll was made of the weakest grubsauce he'd ever seen. Okay wait no, the troll made of the weakest sauce has been a brown blood who'd cried when they were caught and had gone so far as to wet themselves. When you didn't follow the law bad s**t happened. But really, have some dignity geez. When the cold rolled in and the young trolls began to snuggle up or pull warm things out from their bags and s**t?

Ezraal was having none of it.

Okay so maybe he just kind of forgot to pack things but really he didn't need help, he didn't need no fuzzy sweaters or socks or scarves. He didn't need to ******** snuggles or cuddles. He'd keep himself warm. He'd show them. He was an orange blood and yeah the hemospectrum sucked but there was a fire in his blood. Or something. He wasn't going to be a p***y with all this cold business. Maybe if they ran across a beast he'd kill it and wear it's pelt. Just to show them how a real troll braved the cold.

Even if that was not how many trolls would brave the cold.

He just liked the idea of wearing a pelt like a badass.

If your troll picked 1, you search around for another troll who's willing to give your idea a try. Possibly after you pester them until they give up. Taking a blanket from your pack, you throw it around both of your shoulders, and you stride off together. It's a bit awkward, but you eventually manage to fall in step with each other. Unfortunately, it's just too hard to stay so close while walking, and while you don't freeze, your teeth are still chattering. Not to mention you're getting weird looks now.

If your troll picked 2, you might get a few snickers from the more fashion conscious trolls but you are so warm it is physically impossible for you to give a damn. Seriously, you are so toasty you have to stop and take off one of the sweaters. And then pointedly put it back in your bag, rather than give it to one of the giggling numbnuts who didn't bother to pack properly.

If your troll picked 3, then you learned just exactly how strong a little breeze can be. It turns out you can't keep up a fast march for long in a place where the ground is so uneven and shifty, and you end up tripping and rolling down a hill, landing neatly on your face at the bottom. In the end you've only managed to make yourself tired and out of breath, with a sore face and sand everywhere it shouldn't be. Talk about embarrassing. Loose 1 hp.

It's past midnight, and the temperature has stabilized somewhere between 'cold' and 'very cold'. You've been trudging onward for sometime, wondering to yourself what made you decide to commit suicide by desert, when you've come across a signpost. It's ancient and decrepit, lying on it's side in the sand, but it clearly points the direction towards Chittentown. Somehow it seems that you haven't become completely and hopelessly lost after all! Will you react in any way to this information?

1)Run towards civilization with arms outstretched. Well, no, you're not going to run, and um, you totally have a good reason to do so! Maybe you can find another road leading through the desert that way, one that's still possible to follow without relying on blind luck.

2)You head in the opposite direction of Chittentown. After all, this troll is supposed to be shunning civilization and hiding away from other trolls right? It stands to reason that they'd stay as far from any city as they could. So until you find them, so will you.

3)You ignore the sign and keep heading in the direction you were going before. Clearly you are some sort of genius savant when it comes to navigation, how else would you have managed to find this sign in the middle of nowhere? If you keep trusting in your instinct, it'll definitely lead you to the greenblood, no problem.

Over time their group came across a sign post. It pointed to Chittentown, which brought a form of relief on Vremea's face— later she could go back home! Maybe, just maybe, she could show her group her home. Vremea was quite enthralled— a new friend and a friend that never left the city? The desert wasn't that bad.

But that was later, this was now. "What do you think we all should do? I recommend to go away from Chittentown— the Mother Grub troll can't be found for a reason." She brushed some of the sand off her dress, pushing some of her hair behind her ears, before looking over at the other two.

Well, that was interesting. Sort of. Not really. Okay, moving on! Literally and figuratively at that, as you stride onwards into the desert trusting your map, compass, and sheer lack of self-appreciation to get on the right track. You're not really quite sure what that third aspect has to do with anything, but maybe it'll help gain pity points if there is some sort of cosmic power at play here.
