From now till the 20th, at 9am, a new prompt will be posted for your trolls, giving them choices on how they will proceed. Each member of a team must choose the same option, as they are all sticking together! Teams can post individually or all collaborate on one post. Either way, please include the number of the option taken, your team members, and your trolls/teams current HP at the top of each post. All trolls start out with their normal full health, 20 HP. Mark beside team member names if they have completed adequate training in Survival or Navigation by a S or N by their names. If a team misses more than two prompt replies, they are assumed to have fallen so far behind from all the other groups that they have become lost and are out of the game. The group of young trolls began their decent into the caverns, splitting off into small groups or keeping off to themselves. Regardless, everyone was channeled through the same tunnel with no other visible path in sight. It was damp, dark, and you were getting the strangest pangs of nostalgia...
The cave was fairly silent, with the exception of the murmurs of the kid's conversation. So when the caverns began to echo with a strange rumbling, everyone stopped stimutanelously to listen. Before anyone had the chance to question what the sound was, a massive pile of rubble and dust slid in front of the only path. It was a close call, but you all remain unharmed by the loose rocks- albiet covered in grey dust. But what do you do now?1) What, like a few boulders are going to stop you?! There is no chance you'd give up that easily. You begin to simply dig through the pile, chucking rocks off to the side and rolling the larger ones out of the way. 2) As you look around the mess of stone, you notice a troll-sized gap between two larger boulders. There seems to be a path, although it looks tight... But you're feeling particularly skinny today, and try to squeeze your way through. 3) There was totally a logical way around all this. You take your time studying the rocks, poking and prodding at them in an attempt to figure out where all the pressure was. Surely you could shift the entire cave in if you moved what was holding it up!

Team Junk Pile Abrila (S) - HP: 20/20 Minist - HP: 20/20 Terbik - HP: 20/20
Abrila was lucky, she supposed. She didn't think it was a good idea to go off alone and she had managed to team up with someone she had met before. The cave itself seemed... cozy, almost. Like she belonged there.
When the rubble began to fall, she didn't even panic. Well, it wasn't like they were being trapped from behind. They still had a way out the way they came. And no one had been injured, as far as she could tell.
She studied the rubble while brushing off some of the dust from her clothes. Oh, great. It would be a lot of hard work to move so many rocks out of the way and there was no way she was going to do that without a fight. She looked around some more, then spotted the narrow gap. If they were careful, they might be able to slip through...
Abrila pointed the space out. "Uh, maybe we should try that way..."

Team Junk Pile Abrila (S) - HP: 20/20 Minist - HP: 20/20 Terbik - HP: 20/20
As the cave-in started Minist shielded her eyes with her arm to keep the dust and any small rocks away. When all was calm and settled she stared at the wall of rocks ahead of them. No way was she going to be digging her way through. Before she could think of anything else, though, she heard Abrila suggest another way. Turning her head she peered to where the orangeblood pointed. Looked good enough to her. Nodding she said, "Might be a tight squeeze, but I bet we can find something interesting. Let's go." Looking at Abrila and Terbik she shrugged before making her way to the gap. She still wasn't all the keen about teaming up with a drone, but they would probably prove useful. They were an adult after all and had some military training before she had arrived down here at least. It was nice teaming up with Abrila, though. Finding someone she recognized in camp who she didn't dislike was always a good thing.

Talymn emitted an irritable grumble as he dusted himself off and picked out a few flakes of rock from his hair. "Yeh.. well tha's not an ominous start or nothin'..." He mused aloud, looking to his newly found teammates to check if they were alright, particularly focusing on Maihue with an actual look of concern. She seemed to be the most skittish of their group. After verifying their well-being, he turned his attention back on the newly made wall of solid rock, pacing a bit before noticing a small opening. Climbing up for a better look, the rocker troll quickly found that the space was easily passable.
"I think we can manage in through here!" He alerted back at the others, slipping his keytar off his back. He didn't want it getting banged up on the rocks. "Try not t'dawdle, eh? C'mon!" With that, he lead the way through.

Cheese frowned at the rock pile while she flicked dust out of her hair. The opening Talymn had found could fit her easily, so she slipped in behind him pensively. The pile of loose rocks and dirt could shift at any moment. Cheese eyed it suspiciously while she passed through.

Maihue's eyes were still closed as everything had finished falling. When she heard Talymn's voice, she looked to where he was, and coughed a little from embarrassment. You didn't need your eyes to be closed that long.. Maihue sighed, and followed after Cheese carefully. She didn't want any of the rocks to collapse on them.

Nelgan raised his eyebrows at the mounds of rocks blocking their path. There was no way they could lift those- and, with a quick glance at his fellow group members, none of them looked like they wanted to either. Luckily, the highblood in their group had found a space to squeeze through, an option which relieved Nelgan. Digging through the rocks, or even touching them at all would probably bring them toppling over. Although, Nelgan thought as he squeezed through the gap, this isn't exactly a safe stroll through the garden either.

Team FFF (Four Fronds Flarp) Hazzan Octbre - 20 HP Frossa Fyrste - 20 HP Alifax Bunsem - 20 HP
Hazzan was feeling skinny after her week at base, but that was probably from plain old starvation. As someone who could only comfortably eat in private, spending every waking (and sleeping!) moment surrounded by other trolls was leaving her with scant moments to stuff nutrition down her protein chute. Furthermore, being separated from Koaowl's influence might have even left her with a reduced appetite!
Who knew for certain, really. The short answer was that Hazzan was feeling sort of unusually slender, even if in reality the amount of weight she'd dropped was marginal at best. "There's still a way through. Look," she commanded to her friends-slash-teammates, pointing. It was more of a cravasse, really. But taking what part of the path remained clear seemed much quicker and safer than trying to dig and risking another cave in.
Frossa and Alifax were both a good deal smaller than she was - there was no doubt in Hazzan's mind that they'd be able to fit through. As for herself, she eyed the crevasse carefully and sucked in her gut. Yes, evaluated Hazzan. "It will be a bit tight, but we should all fit."
She advanced on the gap, moving carefully and holding her breath, belly squeezed as narrow as she could get it. Reflecting on how awful it would be to get stuck, Hazzan genuinely considered going on a diet as she inched forwards.

Choice 2
Team FFF (Four Fronds FLARP) Hazzan Octbre - 20 HP Frossa Fyrste - 20 HP Alifax Bunsem - 20 HP
When he'd first heard that there was an assembly, Alifax had thought for a moment that they'd found a Mother Grub already, because of course he couldn't expect for the meager training that they'd received to be considered adequate. How could it? He felt like only a tiny amount of time had already passed. They couldn't have been training for...no, it certainly hadn't even been a lunar perigee yet. So naturally he didn't think that the army would tell them that they'd been trained enough.
But apparently they had. He'd looked at Frossa and Hazzan, who'd been next to him, and he'd shrugged.
And then he'd turned his attention back to the speaker, because she was a redblood, and she'd somehow managed to land herself a command role. Command! He'd never heard of a redblood in a command role; maybe it was, um. Maybe it was due to the recent dearth of adult trolls for the military. That'd make sense; it wasn't as if adults could pop up out of nowhere. It certainly wouldn't have happened in ordinary circumstances, right? Alifax was fairly sure that it wouldn't. Who had ever heard of a redblood in command in any time that was not a crisis?
And, he supposed, the current situation was a crisis. He didn't even need to give his consent before they'd formed a team among themselves. Who was he to object to a highblood's desires? Well, probably someone suicidal. But he hadn't objected to their demand to form a team, and he wouldn't have wanted to. He liked Hazzan and Frossa, he thought, and they were both very good partners for him. He'd do well to spend time in their presence, and, admittedly, he had always known that spending time with highbloods got you privileges that you couldn't get otherwise. That was the nice thing about it. He didn't want to look as though he was looking for those privileges, though, because Alifax was pretty sure that would qualify him for automatic culling, or at least a high level of suspicion from the troll authorities.
When they finally set out, Alifax was a little surprised. It was incredibly dark in the caverns - and sure, he was nocturnal just like any other proper troll, but it was a lot darker than the night. It was...pitch black, actually, and he could barely make anything out, which was bad. He liked being able to see.
He wasn't paying much mind to the other groups of trolls, but with Hazzan and Frossa at his side he felt a lot more confident.
And then, of course, they came to a cave in. He glanced at his fellow FLARPers, hoping that - oh, and there was Hazzan already, pointing out a place that they could sneak through. He hoped.
Alifax thought maybe he could fit. He wasn't sure - he thought he was pretty small. He didn't have much in the way of muscle definition; he didn't eat much and it usually showed. On the other hand, though, he wasn't particularly squishy, and none of his body parts were flexible (although by now, of course, he felt like he himself was a lot more flexible!). So that might be a problem.
He glanced at Hazzan - she might have trouble fitting, too, he thought (privately), but she was also their clouder. She'd figure out a way in if anyone could. And Frossa...Frossa was really small. She could definitely fit into the hole. So he nodded (although really that was a foregone conclusion), and he smiled, although he wasn't so sure that his teammates could see either of those gestures. "I think that's a good idea. Would you like me to wait to make sure that you're both safely through? I think I can...um, I can run back to get help, I guess." On second thought it might be better for a highblood to do that.
But he wanted to be useful to them. Then they wouldn't have any reason to report him as culling material, or anything like that.

Team Bad End
Sarcel Cincil - 20 HP Sempur Livora - 20 HP Pyruet Tropos - 20 HP Zeylla Crypsi - 20 HP
It had begun.
The trek into the caves was a bit of a momentous expedition. Groups lined up at the ready, charging in like some kind of a race. To be frank, Sarce was unsure of what to do about the groups. She knew either way she would be stuck with Sir, whether the idea was hers or his, but she couldn’t of predicted the other two that joined in the group too. The greenblood- Pyruet- had joined their little rendezvous, along with a very mysterious troll. A suspicious figure with a gray symbol, someone that Sarce didn’t seem to approve of very much at the moment, especially not with such foreboding horns.
Ah, but that was beside the point. The trip was already off to a hazardous start, what with the group immersed in bickering. She was a bit perturbed by their toxic relationship, but you’d never hear her say it.
Of course, that wasn’t the only rough start to this whole endeavor. Alongside the childish arguments came a far greater disaster; rocks fall from the ceiling of the caverns, and suddenly the entire way through is entirely blocked off. Trolls scurry like ants, trying to regain their composure and gather their wits and try to figure out something to make of the situation. Some observe the fallen boulders, and others examine possible ways through. But what could they do?
Sarcel wasn’t in any place to make an executive decision, anyway. Covered in a thin layer of dust, she found herself highly uncomfortable, choking and sputtering and not really paying mind to any of her other group mates. Why, if she had made it out okay, then they should be far better off, shouldn’t they?
Really, the caves were comforting to Sempur in all their dark, dank glory. He was reminded of his hive, or traversing the caves Wojtek used to dig up. And this little rockslide? Pfft, nothing compared to the avalanches of ol' Busthind. Promptly dusting off his uniform with bandaged hands (but don't pay attention to those), he marched right on over to his recruit, looking first to her, then to the pile of rocks, then to her, then to the pile.
"WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR." he barked, seemingly just to hear the echo, "Make yourself useful and start moving these rocks, Pathetic!" It was the most obviously idea, really, and he didn't bother to see if the other blueblood would comply. She had damn well better if she knew what was good for her, diving right into the menial task himself.
Pyruet was beginning to wonder if this had been such a fantastic idea.
She'd signed herself onto the "team" that Sarcel and Sempur had immediately made, of course, to keep a lookout on Sarce, make sure she was okay. That was the only reason. Nothing to do with upstaging anyone, just making sure she stayed safe. And of course, Sempur had a ******** fit and kept trying to rip the clipboard out of her hands, so she'd gotten the first troll she saw to sign it, and turned it in.
And now Sempur had been being his typical self-important, petty, abusive, assholish self all ******** night and the gray girl had just been staring pretty much the entire time and Pyre wasn't really sure what her agenda was but she didn't have much time to think about it in between shooting down Sempur's delusions, and telling him where he could stick his knives when he turned on Sarce for whatever reason.
But now. Now. Now it was business time. They were in the caves. Hunting a Mother Grub. And OK, sure, there was a rock slide, but that was in the past. All she had to do was get through it and it was back to saving the world.
"God Almighty, shut the hell up." She was practically growling at this point. Holy damn, she was beyond sick of his voice. Not to say she didn't agree, he definitely had the right idea, but he just made it sound so wrong. She picked a spot well away from him to begin tearing rocks out of the pile. She was gonna get through first, and prove she was better than him at moving large piles of debris, too.

If your troll picked 1, you simply keep digging. Whatever the motivation behind it, through sheer willpower you tunnel your own way through the rubble. How badass!
If your troll picked 2, you manage to squeeze through but not unscathed. You gave yourself some nasty cuts and had to dislocate a joint or two, but at least you got past! Loose 1 hp.
If your troll picked 3, generate a number between 1 and 10. If you got an even number: You manage to tug out or break off a few key slabs of stone, and slowly get the pile to shift before it smoothly slides right out of your way. It took a lot of time and effort, but you're feeling pretty proud of yourself! All that troll Jenga pulled off. If you got an even number: As you struggle to free a fist sized rock from under a crevice, you hardly notice the dust begin to fall on your head as rocks shifted above you. Before you know it you're waist deep in rubbage. It seems like you only made the cave in worse, and hurt yourself in the process. Loose 1 hp. Once again you were on your way through the caverns. Everyone was a little more split up now, having made their way past the cave in at different rates. Either way, you were all faced with a fork in the caverns. Each time it was quickly decided that one path seemed untraversible, as it dropped down with an alarming slope and seemed to be half crumbling. Everyone made their way down the more suitable channel, decision reassured by the readout on their tracking devices. Stepping out of the more narrow paths into a larger cave, there was a long bridge suspended over a cavern with no foreseeable bottom... You take a moment to inspect the bridge. It looked like it was ancient, half falling apart, and was crudely made with flat slabs of wood and rotting rope. How do you try and get past?1) Well, the troll you were supposed to be following was past here, right? The bridge was there for a reason, and it was at least still intact. So it was probably safe to be on! You decide to just book it across- the less time you spend on that old thing, the better. 2) There was no way you were touching that old rotting bridge. There must be another way around! You notice the cave wall seemed rough and jutted- perhaps you could edge your way over that way? Making your way across by hugging the wall didn't seem appealing, but it was better than the bridge. You decide to give it a shot! 3) This wasn't happening. No way. You drop a stone off the edge of the cliff, waiting to hear it hit bottom. It took way too long. You weren't insane enough to try crossing that cavern in these conditions! You'd rather go back and try that other path you saw earlier. No one said there was only one way to get over to the other side... right?!

Team Junk Pile Abrila (S) - HP: 19/20 Minist - HP: 19/20 Terbik - HP: 19/20
Oh man, that hadn't been as easy as Abrila had thought it would be. A scrape on her cheek stung like hell, and when she put her hand to it, it came away a bit orange. At least Minist had gone first... With her luck she would have run right smack into some of the sharpest rocks and send the whole thing tumbling down on top of them all.
For a while afterward, the journey wasn't very eventful. The delays from the forks in the paths were short-lived. And the tracking devices were pretty useful... even if Abrila wasn't very keen on using them.
Eventually the team made it to the large cavern, which seemed to open all the way down to the depths of the planet. The bridge hung almost ominously across, like it was inviting it's next victim.
"Uhh, what should we do?" Abrila asked her companions, fidgeting a little. "Should we try it...?"

Team Bad End
Sarcel Cincil - 20 HP Sempur Livora - 20 HP Pyruet Tropos - 20 HP Zeylla Crypsi - 20 HP
”Y-Yes sir!”
And so they had dug. Sarcel, snapped awake by Sir’s barking command, started in with clearing the rubble as well. Hard work, somewhat tedious, but the group had done it somehow. So many groups before them had just walked through the small opening left in the rubble, but they had cleared it away. No harm done, except for some sore hands.
Or at least it was that way for the three that did the clearing. From Sarce’s perspective, she was still highly unnerved from the troll with the gray symbol that stayed behind, watching. She would never mention it though, at least not to Sempur. Oh well. The point was; now the group could move on. All was well for the moment; the hatebirds started squabbling again at Sempur’s discursion, obviously irked from the greenbloods earlier command to shut up. Sarcel sighed, but that’s how it was, she could deal with the arguments, it only meant things were right again, in some sick twisted way.
Oh, but the blueblood was on guard. Although her group seemed very distracted (Save for the hemoanonymous girl that had followed along, her, she couldn’t be very sure), Sarcel was alert to whatever trials might befall them next. Who knows? Whatever caused the rock slide before could easily start another one. Nature was highly unpredictable on its own- common knowledge- but surely something to look out for.
And then there it is. An old, decaying bridge with old boards and rope tethered to either side of a steep chasm. Sarcel peered over, not giving much mind to the rest of the group then, but saw only darkness. Kicking a rock into the drop off, she waits, listens… but the returning echo takes far too long to return to them. Surely they weren’t thinking of crossing the bridge, were they?
It was infuriating how none could appreciate Sempur's wonderful leadership skills. It had totally been his idea to dig through the cave-in, and not that he was watching while working but he was totally better at it, too. Practice makes perfect, and Sempur was nothing if not perfectly practiced. Of course, the only thanks he got was that disgusting greenblood thinking she could start up again with her constant noise. The caves once again echoed with the sounds of Sempur yelling the same old don't you give me orders you're not the leader here song and dance that went absolutely nowhere.
By the time they had reached the bridge, his wrapped hands were shaking, twitching towards his knives, wanting so badly to just. Maybe one little cut couldn't hurt. It was for the good of the team, honestly, better he sliced his hands open than stabbed Pyruet in the face because honestly he was this close.
But killing a teammate no matter how ******** terrible they were and how badly you didn't want them on your team was bad, and the medic's scolding haunted Sempur. He was s**t out of luck. Probably the only thing keeping him from going completely insane was the knowledge that, for how ungrateful SOME trolls were, he was being counted on. His decisions would lead them to glory, surely.
So, trying to sound like he wasn't on the verge of throwing himself or a certain insolent greenblood into the abyss, Sempur took one look at that bridge and made his snap judgement. "We're taking the ledge." Bridges were too easy, although he was comforted by how old it looked. Maybe someone else would perish here, that was a nice thought. Good for them.
Glancing over at not-Sempur while she tunneled through the wall of rocks, Pyre couldn't help but notice they were the only ones even bothering to try, everyone else was squeezing through a small gap in between a couple of boulders. Huh, well she guessed that was one way to do it. No time for regrets though, only winning.
And naturally they were barely on the other side of the rock slide before that moron kicked in with his idiocy, and obviously she had to retort with her I'm carrying the guns here I'm pretty sure that gives me rank over yous and her if you disagree you are free to take it up with my bullets except of course she probably didn't mean it cause that would be almost treasonous on a mission as important as this but seriously that guy needed to close his stupid mouth.
And then the bridge came into sight and hell no they weren't crossing that, she wasn't in the mood to become a not-even-statistic-cause-no-one-was-keeping-track. More than one voice had the same thought at the same time as they stared at the deathtrap. "We're taking the ledge."
Beat.
"No, that's bullshit, I said it first. I ******** said it first." she snarled. She wasn't going to let him have credit for another idea she had first, even though they'd spoken simultaneously. "You heard that." She whirled around to face Sarcel and oh God the creeper girl was still here, she actually sort of had forgotten about her.
It wasn't that Zeylla hadn't wanted to help move the rocks out of their way earlier. Honestly. She just had felt that it was better if someone stood to the sides and watched. You know, in case some terribly big rock fell down on top of them. Not that she would've warned them, it was just so she wouldn't be caught in that bloody mess that would be left behind afterwards. She was slightly glad they had not been crushed, seeing as the crew she had joined was rather entertaining, to say the least.
The little awkward, shy one(Sarcel, she noted after hearing the name out of those vile blueblood's lips) worked hard, eyes eagerly looking over at crazy-mcblueblood for something akin to approval. Sadly, it seemed her blueblood companion(Sempur, what a ridiculous name) was too busy in a deep black war with the greenblood lady(Pyruet? She had only caught her name once before she had even joined the group) to give his fellow blueblood any attention.
Honestly, it was frankly a little disgusting how eager the small one was to please Sempur. Zeylla saw nothing all that great in him, besides the fact that his plan to remove the rocks had gone quiet smoothly. She figured that anyone could have chosen to do that anyways, and honestly she could have had it happen without the inane bickering.
The bickering that continued all the way to the bridge they happened upon next. And then some, because the greenblood(Pyruet, she needed to get better at using the names she had collected, it made things more organized in her mind) and blueblo--Sempur had both announced they would be taking a ledge at the same time. Which had then caused more arguing (pointlessly) between the two. It was pointless because Zeylla didn't want to scale that ledge. Why, she could tell that Sarcel didn't want to either. But the little one wouldn't speak up, she the greyblood took it upon herself and announced to the group, "We should go back, use the other path, honestly."
She assumed they would hear her, but the two just continued to yell and then Pyruet turned on them, bellowing about how she said it first like some angry beast, and Zeylla realized what she had gotten herself into. She was on a team with a sharp and violent stick in the bloodied mud, an immovable rock of hard-headed determination and the little quiet one craving nothing but some hard-earned approval. She groaned inwardly, but kept her face, as usual, at minimal internal reflection before stating, "I have no clue which of you said it first, but I do know that the one who said it first should be the one leading us," she had to pause and swallow the bitter taste of disgust before she finished, "like a great leader is 'aught to do."
Of course, in reality she was the only truly great leader here, but she wasn't about to risk her precious life to lead a group of arguing trolls across a narrow ledge. Leave that foolishness to the fools who wanted it.

Minist emerged from the crevice no worse for the wear, save for a few scrapes on her shoulders. Those probably could have been avoided if she wore a shirt with sleeves, but it wasn't any skin off her back (wait, forget that). As they continued on she started to pray for another cave-in. These tunnels were so boring. Crumbling paths were no good, either. The dark tunnels began to echo with her groans of frustration. There was nothing to do, nothing to look at. Then they finally happened upon a chasm with an aging bridge. Good thing too because she was about to dig out her tracker and dismantle it. They had three of them as a group, what would be the harm in taking apart just one?
Kneeling next to the bridge she tugged on the rope. Definite signs of rot, but it didn't snap at her tugging, so it looked good enough to her. Standing back up and wiping off her hand on her shorts she looked back at the orangeblood and the drone. "As long as we don't dawdle I think it should be fine. Just watch your step." she said. Then she turned on her heel and took a deep breath before staring down the length of the bridge. Here goes nothing.

Cheese rubbed a lump on the top of her head where a stray rock had struck her. Even in her drone armor she had not been able to escape injury...but it was probably because she was prone to forgetting her helmet. She made a mental note to retrieve it from her temporary respiteblock at next opportunity while she inspected the next challenge to present itself.
