Okay, so this plan hadn't been the most well thought out thing, even if it made sense. Well, 'sense'. It made about as much sense as the rumors that had spurred the entire fiasco had to the pricolici. She had played the entire situation through her head a couple of times - a pleasant distraction from the itching and the images that flashed through her head after that trial. Almost paranoidly she moved the sleeve of her jacket to look at her arms and shoulders, checking for signs of char and ash, frowning. All she had was a slight lingering light that she could barely see reflected in the fogged mirror.

She couldn't be inside a closed room, not after that, her door wide open even as she moved through the fog getting changed - in fact, the fog was probably the only thing masking her from being seen in less clothing than she ever wanted anybody to see her in on a social call.

It was a simple date, though, so Shehk made a point to not over 'primp' for it. Being clean and looking nice was enough for her; braiding some of her hair and wrapping it around the base of her ponytail, her normal purple-and-orange striped skirt/jacket/shirt combo she had going that was so...typical for her. She was as she always was, sans a few little extra 'nice' changes (like ironing her clothes.).

Okay, she looked fine, this was fine. It was a nothing date. A Friend-date. It was like hanging out, just... yeah. It'd be fine. Still, Shehk picked up an envelope she had on her desk and shoved it into her pocket, giving herself another look over, a check to make sure she had her keys, her wallet, her phone, before she retreated from her room to go wait outside of the building itself.

Outside.

Outsideoutsideoutside.

Outside.

She really was visibly twitchy to some extent.

It had.. been quite awhile since Jericho went on anything that could be called a date. He didn't consider this to be a date-date though. It was really more like hanging out with the title of date to maybe help deal with all the damn rumors floating around. Or something like that. Either way, it would make for a nice distraction. A lot of things had been going on lately. The nightmares of the trials still hadn't left him.

But, he'd try to have fun with this. Home was in tact. There were no hunters. There better not be any hunters. If there were, he'd make sure to tear them apart.

No. That wasn't what he should be thinking about right now. Scratching his head, he got.. somewhat dressed up. Nothing fancy, but it was a little better than his usual attire. As usual for how things had been lately, he made sure to be covered as much as possible. The grey patches had spread on his body. There was a slightly morbid thought if he'd end up becoming a 'grey dragon' rather than being a red.

Anyway, now that he was all set, Jericho made his way over to the undead dorms to meet up with Shehk. There, he spotted her waiting outside for him. She looked... really kind of twitchy. This had him become a bit more alert as he didn't know why she was antsy. Shifting his wings nervously, he gazed around the area to give it a sweep. He didn't spot anything out of place but... he could never be too careful.

"Hey Shehk," he greeted while looking around some more, "Ah... all set to go?"

And it seemed like she wasn't waiting long!

Shehk perked up nervously, offering the dragon a small wave as he approached, smiling. "Hi! I'm uh.." she looked around, following Jericho's lead as her ears drooped, anxiously checking her shoulders again and scratching at her arms through her clothing. She itched with sensation that had never ever truly touched her. It was strange. "I'm ready to go. Ha ha, I think I really need the breath of fresh air after how things have..been...."

She trailed off, looking around nervously before almost immediately gravitating towards him. it seemed just based on how covered her was that he was probably sharing her sentiments on the anxiety level that was floating around. Part of her wondered how things were in that heads of his too.

"I'm uh..going to apologize up front if I suddenly turn clingy at all during all of this...." she said, scratching the stitches underneath her ear. "I just...well..." She shot another glance around before she shook her head.

"We should probably get going. Try to have a good time. Do something fun."

Now that he was closer, Jericho was definitely sure that Shehk was nervous. It was making him nervous too for that matter. Paranoia crept into his brain where it was starting to become a little more obvious. His stance was a little more rigid and his gaze didn't linger in one spot for too long.

"Clingy? Uh.. Ok," he said. He wasn't really sure why she would be clingy, but he supposed she had been just as stressed about the recent events.

"Yess... something fun. A distraction is needed. Let's.. get going? Do you know where we're headed?" he asked. Shehk was the one who got this set up, so he didn't really know what was on the agenda for tonight.

"Yeah, the..trial.." she answered on the 'clingy' note, immediately scratching her arms through her clothing again. She hadn't enjoyed that last trial as much as she had the first two. Too much burning, too much trapped in small spaces.

Still, she'd suggested the date, so she had planned it. Kind of. She'd actually planned for one thing only to realize that she absolutely hated being in a closed space, so being in a closed space in the dark was not going to happen. It had thrown off her groove a little bit, but she still had a back up plan.

"Yep! I know exactly where we're going. I don't know if you're a big fan of 'indie' films, but they're having an outdoor screening of a series of amateur short-films of different genres in that outdoor theater that's off on the other side of the Maul." she explained as she began to walk. It wouldn't be the shortest walk in the world, but it would allow for some chatter time in the meantime.

"Thought it'd be a bit of variety, plus we can skip out whenever we'd like if that gets mundane."

Jericho tilted his head at the mention of independent films. He hadn't really seen any so he couldn't really say if he enjoyed those or not. The movies he usually watched were generally more of the bigger titles that came out in normal theaters and whatnot. But it sounded interesting at the very least. The idea of an outdoor theater was fairly intriguing as well.

"Alright. That sounds good to me," the dragon replied before cautiously looking around. One could never be too certain when there might be a sudden attack. He was still a bit riled up from having seen Shehk all antsy and whatnot.

"So then.. lead the way," he nodded while shifting his wings a bit nervously.

To be honest, Shehk liked the bigger theater titles as well - and frankly had planned for something of that variety as well. At least, she had until the idea of being holed up in a dark room that had four walls had gotten to her and spooked her completely out of the idea of it. Being caged, being trapped. It was like she'd suddenly become claustrophobic.

"Great!" she grinned as Jericho relented to her lead, fidgeting with her jacket as she walked. A most uneventful little walk, even, given how on-the-main-stretch everything was. It wasn't as though they were going to be trekking through some sort of wild terrain to find where they were going. It was simply one of those places that only did any sort of showing every now and then, so it required a small turn off of the main sidewalks after some time.

"How are you holding up?" she asked after a minute, looking up at him thoughtfully. "I mean, after that trial and....." she reached over to grab his arm, not wanting to say it out loud, but never the less she seemed concerned.

While they walked, Jericho's eyes continued to scan the area for potential threats. It was hard for him to ever fully relax anymore. The whispers in his ears were still a constant, but he had somewhat gotten used to them. Though, it was hard to say if that was really a good thing. It was when they started to get loud was when it became more of a problem.

"Holding up alright I guess. I.. don't think the trials have really helped with it. It's.. still spreading. Slowly."

Shifting uncomfortably, he frowned and continued forth. It wasn't really something he enjoyed thinking or talking about. As things progressed, it made him worried of how things might be when the Insanity took him over completely. It didn't bode well for him at all.

The news made her just a bit more uncomfortable to hear, sighing a bit. "I......I'm sorry to hear that." she frowned. "But I still think it'll get better." she smiled, somewhat of a bothered smile, yet a smile none the less. She had to keep up her spirits somehow. She needed to find somewhere to start looking for information.

Maybe if Red was still around.....

However, she dropped the topic and made a point to change it quite obviously. "I'll admit that I do have something else planned for when you get sick of short-films." she grinned, as though she was actually damn excited about that little fact too. "But I'd like to at least see one or two of these things first, just to see what it is all about. Might be fun. It's been a long time since I saw anything with anybody. I normally hole up in my room and watch movies by myself." she admitted, even as the fenced off area - complete with the large screen- came into sight not too far off.

Eyeing the pricolici, Jericho just sort of grimaced at her words. It was getting harder to stay optimistic about everything. Yes, there had to be some way to get through it, but he didn't know what that was. Fidgeting a bit as they moved along towards their destination, he soon tilted his head as the topic was changed thankfully.

"Oh? What might that be?" he asked. He was curious, but it didn't seem like she was ready to reveal it just yet, "That's fine. It's.. been awhile since I've had a chance to go to the movies either. Too many things going on."

Spotting the area up head, his eyes lit up a bit. That was a pretty big screen, though it'd have to be really. Even so, it did seem fairly promising.

Shehk just grinned back at him, not quite filling him in yet. "Something fun, I promise." she teased, bumping his arm with her shoulder in a playful manner. "At least I think it will be fun." She reached into her pocket to feel and make sure the envelope she'd tucked into it was there still.

Fortunately, it was.

"Yeah, no kidding. It seems like you either don't go or you have to go by yourself because everything is hectic. Plus a lot of the more public places still have that little Stigma going on..." she huffed, obviously upset with the news that had attacked Amityville and made a mess of their reputations.

Either way, it seemed Shehk was just ready to go when they got to the arena, fishing out some tickets for the event - clearly she'd changed her plans soon enough to still plan ahead and save some time, the woman at the gate ripping both tickets before ushering the pair inside to find their seats.

Shehk glanced around the interior of the theater-arena, the entire area set up with a wide green where pairs could put out blankets and sit together if they so wished, but also there were several stands of seats that could be picked from as well, similar to the bleachers from a bruteball stadium on TV would have - pleasant and covered, yet less grandiose and smaller in scale. "Looks like we have some options. How about you pick?" she suggested, looking to the Dragon.

"Yeah.. no kidding," Jericho frowned. It was unfortunate, but Amity didn't have the greatest of reputations at the moment. Pushing that thought aside, he made his way past the gate and into the event area. Briefly, he paused as he realized there were quite a few people here.

Many strangers.

A large potential one of these could be a false body.

Just waiting...

"Huh? What? Oh.. Right. Um... Let's.. head towards the top.

Yes. That way their backs would be to the wall. And if something went down, he could see it more easily.

There were less strangers here than at a normal theater, though. So perhaps it had been the better option rather than sitting in the dark. She looked up towards the back of the seats that Jericho suggested, nodding as she moved along ahead of him, a small bounce in her step as she went up the stairs. "Heeeeyy! This is a great view from back here!" she grinned, her tail wagging, one hand on her hip as she paused on the steps, the other hand flat over her eyes to block them from the sun and take a look at the area.

Then again, that had been the point, so Shehk only confirmed Jericho's motivations without being aware that his motivations had been exactly as such.

Still, she waited for him to catch up with her before she weaved her way through a few seated people to settle in as close to the end of the row as possible - in case they needed to get up and out of there sooner rather than later. She didn't settle too much, however, before she looked to Jericho again, smiling. "It's kinda nice to get a chance to spend some time together outside of Student Council and school functions."
PostPosted: Sat Mar 24, 2012 5:54 pm

Making his way up the steps after Shehk, the dragon carefully shimmied over to his seat, not wanting to smack anyone with his wings. Unless they were secretly a hunter, then he could care less if they got smacked by a wing. If that were the case, he'd want to throw them off the stands.

"Yes... a good view indeed," he agreed. Granted, he wanted the viewpoint to help keep track of everything, rather than want the scenic value of it. His vision was pretty keen too, generally speaking. After all he had to be able to spot things below while he was in flight.

"Yeah.. Or just sorta hang out in general."

He had a feeling not to many students were really able to do 'normal' things all too often nowadays.

Shehk took a deep breath to enjoy the fresh air - and the earth scent everything had to her, but she wouldn't have commented on the smell of earth out there to her companion. She knew exactly how he would have reacted to that. Which would have been him trying to figure out which individual in the area actually smelled like earth and if they weren't actually an earth-golem, to smash them to pieces.

Seemed standard to her.

"No kidding. Seems like every time we walk outside we're nearly being blown up or stabbed or something else horrific like that. Scandal, Trials, Exchange programs...." she sighed, stretching and settling more comfortably in her seat. "Kind of makes me wonder what other schools are like by comparison....." Were they safer?

More academic?

Or perhaps their school was being purposely targeted for these things that kept happening around it for some reason. Some strange, cosmic reason.
