You've passed through a gate in the Nexus and have entered the Homelands of the Fables. The gate is in a forest just inside Flycatcher's kingdom, Haven. Here, the Fables are protected from the Adversary's minions as well as entities like Mr. Dark.
The town proper sits below the forest. Say hello to Biby Wolf, Snow White, Flycatcher, Pinnochio, Rose Red, or Ozma as you pass through. You might also be able to catch a baseball game or pass your respects to Boy Blue.
Remember, Haven is a peaceful kingdom...do NOT upset the Big Bad Wolf.

*Chris shot out of the gate to the Nexus and landed face first in the dirt. He shook his head and spat leaves from his mouth.*
Pth. Yuck. Where am I?
*Chris looked up...and was staring at a chicken. Chicken Little to be exact. Of course, Chris didn't know this so when Chicken Little went into his routine, Chris was a bit surprised.*
AHHHHHHHHH! A GIANT MUNDY INVASION!
GAH! A TALKING CHICKEN!
*Chicken Little run away as fast his legs could carry him, screaming bloody murder.*
A MUNDY INVASION! AND THEIR LEADER IS UGLY AND HUGE AND MUNDY AND UGLY!
Hey...I'm not ugly. This place has rude chickens...foul fowl...heh.

*Somewhere ahead of Chris, who was wandering aimlessly in the woods, Chicken Little was still running and screaming bloody murder. This was when, unfortunate for Chris, Chicken Little ran into Cinderella.*
Chicken Little, what are you screaming about now?
Cindy! Run for your life! A giant, ugly Mundy is leading an army here to attack Haven. Ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun!
*Cindy arched an eyebrow as Chicken Little continued to flee towards Haven. That bird cried wolf more than...Cindy's head whipped around when she heard someone floundering through the trees. So Chicken Little wasn't exaggerating, someone was out there. She grinned and headed towards the sound. The spy biz had been slow since Mr. Dark chased the Fables to Haven, maybe this would spice things up.*

OW! Bah...
*Where was Fabletown? Snow always said it was somewhere in New York City and this definitely wasn't NYC. Not even Central Park had a forest like this. How was he going to get rid of Jack if he couldn't even find Snow or Bigby?
Chris came into a clearing only to find a woman staring at him. Not just a woman, a smoking hottie-boom-bottie. He did an imaginary fist bump with Wally at that thought. But no...he was married. Even this chick was the bomb...*
Um, hello.
Hi! You look lost!
I am. I'm looking for Fabletown. Are you a Fable?
*The woman arched an eyebrow and started nonchalantly walking towards him.*
And how do you know about Fables, Mundy Man?
Oh, I'm not a mundy! I'm a superhero from-
Superhero? Right. Now come along quietly, Mr. Mundy, and you can tell Ambrose how you got here.
Sorry, I can't I have to find-
I wasn't asking.
*The blond rushed towards him but Chris wasn't worried. He would just change into his armor.

Nothing was happening.*
Oh no...my amulet must not work here. Wait-
*The last thing Chris saw was a small fist streaking towards his face.*

*Cinderella looked down at her Mundy captive. No one ever expected her to hit them and certainly not as hard as she did. All the movies and stories and toys based on her had made Cindy one strong Fable. The Mundy dropped like a rock.
Now, the problem was getting him to Haven.*
Not one of your more brilliant ideas, Cindy.
*Cinderella sighed and started dragging her prisoner towards Haven.*
Meanwhile...on the outskirts of Haven...
*Chicken Little was still fleeing the imaginary Mundy army. The small bird was screaming to anyone who would listen about it. Some Fables panicked and some, like Brock Blueheart(aka Stinky), declared that it heralded the return of Boy Blue.
Everyone was running around like a...well, that would be a rude thing to write with Chicken Little involved but you the picture. So, it was no surprise when the news reached the ears of six small cubs playing just outside the town.*

"let's go find 'em"
"I wanna play"
"maybe they has cookies"
"mama will be mad"
"Mommy won't know. Come on, let's go!'
The cubs abandoned their berry picking and bounded off to look for and possibly beat up the mysterious Mundy

*Cinderella dropped the Mundy face first in the dirt. They were at the edge of the woods and she had worked up a bit of a sweat. The Mundy was heavier than she thought he'd be. Perhaps she should go fetch Beast. Carrying the Mundy through Haven would blow her cover.*
Speaking of blowing my cover...
*Snow's and Bigby's cubs came bounding over hill and made a beeline for her. Cindy scooped up a large branch and waited.*
Hey, kids, look what came after your Aunt Cindy. Barely had time to bop him with this stick. Do you think you could fetch the Sheriff for me? Or your dad?

*Chris slowly came to. He had the worst dream! He was in high school with other heroes and Wally was a close friend. And he was dating Cassie Sandsmark and she kept dumping him and dumping him and dumping him!*

*Cinderella backed off and slipped away to find Bigby. She didn't trust this strange Mundy....even if Snow and the cubs knew him.
Meanwhile, Chris was attempting to fight of the swarm of cubs.*

*Chris managed to fish out Jack's "autobiography" out and thrust it up at Snow from a giant ball of rambunctious cubs.*
