We have a poll up on Facebook, but how do you guys feel about this? I'll copy and paste what I wrote down in the poll: Quote: Hi guys, Beq came up with (what I think is) an awesome idea. Her plan is that if you donate $15, you can have an item of your own design made specifically for you. You get to have the item when the site launches, it will be for both male and female bases (in case you switch back and forth) but it will only be one pose. The question is, do you guys want this? I'll list a few more options as well. I'll close the poll in a week. Feelings? Thoughts? Obviously we won't do this if a lot of you say no for obvious reasons. wink But do any of you approve? The $15 isn't necessary by any means to enter the forum, it's just a sort of extra so that we're not completely paying for everything out of our own pockets.

So, we would pay $15 and design an item, and you would pixel it, and we would be the only person with that item on the entire site?
Or, am I not understanding this correctly?

I love the idea but there are a few things stopping me;
I don't have pay pal or anything like that to be able to donate and I am terrible at designs
If I did find some magical way of donating would I just be able to describe an item instead of fail-drawing my own?

I don't have a facebook so I'll give my thoughts here.
1. $15 seems a bit cheap for custom items. Wajas cost about $30, and they're not drawn for you.
2. Or perhaps $15 gets you an expensive common (this way, they serve as money sinks as well as donation items), and $30 gets you a non-released, tradable item?
3. This custom item thing will only be available before the site launch, right? Because I can think of so many nightmares that would happen if it continued post-launch.
4. Would $15(x) dollars get you x amount of items/poses? Or is this thing limited to one per person?

I think custom items are awesome, I'm sure lots of people would want one. I know I do. *o* More than an expensive common than you can trade afterwards.
Another question though. Are we able to overlay items layers like what we were able to do before T crashed?

Yes this would only be pre-opening, to jumpstart the site. I was thinking a single pose, single item, trade-able. There would be an option for the users to design them, or for Krank to design them.
But anyways, go vote on FB if you can! =)

Howling Kiyo - Definitely appreciate the thought at least. 4laugh A description would have to be fairly detailed... Even a minimal sketch would work for this, it doesn't matter about your skills as an artist as long as I can understand what I'm looking at. But yeah, descriptions are okay as well.
Nitrolyze -
1) $15 is a price I believe is fair. We understand not everyone works 40+ hours a week at $20/hour, so we've tried to make this as available as possible while still turning a profit.
2) That is definitely another option I would be willing to look into. After this polling round, I'll put your idea up in a new poll.
3) Oh gosh, no, it'll only be available pre-launch.
4) $15 gets you one item with one pose. I won't be making exceptions to that, since more poses = more time.
Lyanda - Our coder is still working on the avatar system, but putting in layers will be a heck of a lot easier than before, so there will definitely be more layers, even if they all can't be put on simultaneously.
Alavar - Lol... Well within the realm of PG-13 for now. We were thinking about an 18+ area (for a price, of course), but no, PG-13 would be great.
