The antelope were running again from something or other, and although Rakuree had eaten the day before to his fill, and wasn't hungry in the slightest, he was chasing them. Well, more like he was running alongside them - when they would let him anyway. He only wanted to race, but the antelope didn't know that. To them, they were running for their lives, and to be fair most days that was true. Though with him it was only true for them half of the time. He was no cheetah, but he did love to run.

So that was what he had found himself doing since early this morning, racing with the antelope up and down and across the plains, not trying to catch one, but seeing how close he could get. For a short while around mid-morning, he had backed off, seeing a small group of lioness in the distance, obviously waiting for their chance to claim a kill or two to feed whatever pride they belonged to.

Rakuree didn't have a problem with lions, but he preferred them when they were alone, groups of them didn't really seem to get along too well with leopards, at least in his personal experience. Giving them a chance to hunt he had laid out across the highest branch of the nearest dead-fall tree he could find and contemplated that curiosity, why lions were nicer alone than in groups. He was still trying to think of possible answers by the time mid-afternoon had come.

Leopards weren't the only ones aimlessly chasing and giving panic attacks to the local supply of prey in the area. Working off his morning meal, a flash of blue darted alongside one of the bucks of the herd before he slowed to allow his opponent the benefit of escape. The meat in question did not loiter, a blaze of brown and white as it's hooves carried it off as fast as it could go.

Pausing, the blue cheetah in question huffed and blew a few strands of mane out of his eyes before his gaze took in the surrounding area.

A new area....His lingering gaze stopped dead when they spied the lurking pride of Lionesses eyeing the meal he had been playing racing games with. .....Lovely. Personal experience told the young male that females (hunting ones at that) didn't appreciate him "playing with his food" (What was he? A cub? They weren't his momma! Why did it matter?!).

Another huff and Saar quickly moved out of their line of sight towards elsewhere. He wasn't in the mood for a lecture.

Just as Saar had spotted the lioness stalking their prey, Rakuree, lounging in a tree nearby, spotted the notably not spotted cheetah, racing alongside the same herd of creatures he himself had been harassing earlier. The group of lioness' looked none-too-amused, and maybe even grumpier than they had earlier when he had been freaking out their prey. He probably shouldn't snicker, but he did anyway. There was just something funny about a grumpy lioness - unless you were forced to be up close and personal with said grumpy lioness...

Lioness' aside, Rakuree's blue eyes tracked the equally blue cheetah as he sprinted alongside an antelope, but didn't attempt to overtake it. ....Was the cheetah only teasing the herd, as he himself had been not a handful of hours earlier? His ears immediately perked forward at this promising thought and all it might imply. A racing partner?

Immediately he stood on his perch, wanting to make himself as large and as visible as possible. Not to the lioness', who still stalked their prey, waiting for the right moment and chance to strike, but to the blue cheetah. Who had apparently stopped after spotting and considering the lioness' and deciding - or at least it appeared to Rakuree, and would make sense besides - that messing with the prey of a pride wasn't a good idea if you weren't actually looking for a meal yourself.

Rakuree switched his long green tail back and forth. He really didn't want to shout, or agitate the herd of antelope more than had already been done, but he wanted the cheetah to notice him! So he stood, and stared intently and hopefully towards the other cat as he caught his breath, hoping his movement would make the keen eyes look in his direction and be interested rather than frightened. Cheetahs loved to run, maybe he could get him to race!! The hope lit him up inside with happiness.
