CYOA DAY 3 IF YOU ARE TRAPPED IN THE ROOM, REGARDLESS OF WHAT CHOICE YOU SAY (A, B OR C) IF YOU ARE TRAPPED, REGARDLESS OF WHAT CHOICE YOU SAYThe figure in white seems unamused by whatever you have to say, simply sighing and tapping his pen against his clipboard. "Yeah, thought so. I guess we'll have to do this the fun way." He gestures for another two figures, they look up into your cage and- - You hear a hissing noise in your cage, manage to struggle, stay awake for a second longer before you black out. OOC: SELECTING A GROUP MEMBER - EVERYONE in the group must NOW roll a 100-sided dice at this point and RP out the above (all active members, if you have an inactive member, you can just skip to). The person with the LOWEST roll must RP out the prompt below titled "WEAPONS CONVERSION". Everyone else rps out the regular prompt titled "TRAPPED". Even if the WEAPONS CONVERSION player posts their prompt later, it is assumed that ICly the "weapons conversion" post happened first and then the "trapped" one. - You are rping reactions for one OR the other, depending what you roll. Rp reactions don't need to be posted chronologically. (That way you don't need to wait for them if you have different time zones). - If you have been rolled for weapons conversion your CHARACTER IS "DEAD". That means you can no longer rp them sorry sad Consider this their death post, and write out reactions as necessary: solid death posts will be given bonus trial points! - PLEASE NOW MARK YOUR THREAD AS [CAPTURED] instead of OPEN or CLOSED WEAPONS CONVERSION PROMPT When you wake up, you are staring out of a large, cylindrical cage. You press your hand against it, but the walls hurt as if charged by electricity. You recoil to the very center of the cylinder: the light hurts your eyes. You can hear someone vaguely talking outside, you can see shapes, boxes outside, transparent boxes with your team members in there. There is a loud crackle, a synthetic humming noise, and as you look up- - Pain. Agony that jolts into you, thousands of times worse than being simply electrocuted, worse than when you were forced to dissipate, you might have screamed, you might have thrashed, it is hard to tell at this point, all you can feel is the pain- And then you feel something in you snap, shift, and your Fear, as finally, your form involuntarily begins to warp, distort as well. It hurts, the pain still hurts, it is blinding, but as your body fights to re-stabilize itself, you feel better, whole, complete again. Your vision clears again, just for a little bit - you see figures in strange plastic boxes outside, -who are they, they look familiar - but it doesn't matter anymore. Something clicks in you, like a switch turning on, there is no more pain, panic, hatred, the memories washed out, lackluster. No, in your world of darkness, emptiness, there is only a slowly gnawing hunger, quiet and insatiable. TRAPPED When you wake up you realize you are trapped in a transparent box - a cage. You see the others all around you, but one of your group members is missing. No, instead, they are huddled in a cylindrical glass cage, a rather large one who's height spans the entire room. They look scared, they look out towards you. You want to say something, maybe that everything will be okay, but you can't. You know it's not true. You know they can't even hear you. The person is talking now, the figure in the white cloak. They threaten you, saying one of you is next if you don't tell them the truth. If you don't speak the truth, you will be next. And finally, they make you watch, they make you watch as your teammate screams, thrashes around in the cylinder helplessly, and then is consumed completely. A dull weapon lies where your teammate was. The figure picks up the weapon, and talks to you again. He wants to know the truth, of who you are and where you come from. You turn to your remaining group members for support. a) You finally tell him exactly what happened from the trials to where you are now b) You tell then nothing. If you go down, you will go down fighting. Group Members

CYOA DAY 1 WHAM.
A second equally loud wham punctuated the ground, shaking the students out of their daze. While most had gone to bed, their equivalents of beds in their dorm rooms after a long past few days of trials-
- Noone had expected to wake up to no Amityville. No walls, ceilings, dorm rooms, nothing. Just a barren landscape around them, charred black grass underneath, and the earth shaking. Only the large tree, the hollow tree that marked the beginning of the weeping forest betrayed their location, that this was somehow, still where their school should have been.
There was no sun in the sky, the horizon entirely covered entirely by a thin grey fog.
The noise persisted, even as students got up, woke up, jarred back to reality. As they looked up, then around, they would realize, that other than their group from the trials, they were alone. Was this part of the trials test? Where were they?
Everything seemed very real.
WHAM.
The noise was coming a little to the left, on the other side of a wall, just simply the remains of a crumbling wall. It seemed like a simple drill, digging into the ground, though where the tip of the drill touched, everything was turning into a fine black mist. Fear in its purest form. Fear dissolving, tearing up the actual earth and creating a void, an absence in its place. A nothingness.
The drill was literally breaking up Halloween.
There was very little time to process this new information in as another noise punctuated the consistent work of the Fear-eating drill. A pair of footsteps, walking closer. Two figures were headed the direction of the group, both of them unfamiliar, not even close to the general Bogeyman assemblage. They stopped for a second to take note of the drill, and continued to walk, surveying the landscape. OOC TRIALS OF DEATH: CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE:- You are not sure how you ended up here or where exactly, here is or exactly what happened. You pinch yourself: it hurts. You realize you are not in a dream: even dream-based creatures cannot control or break out of this. This is a startling reality. What exactly happened overnight?- Your group now has four choices. Think of this OOCLY as a CYOA game. You can either now as a group a) Hide behind the rock out of sight to wait for the two unfamiliar Halloweeners to leave b) Walk over to communicate with the Halloweeners/ attempt to ask them questions related to the trials and what they should do c) Walk over to communicate with the Halloweeners to ask questions about what is going on. d) Attempt to go back to square one and examine where you had last left off. ----- WHAM.
WHAM.
The noise was jarring, Willow woke from a slumber tail fluffed and looking pretty bewildered. "WHAT THE JACK!?" The tiger growled looking around as all four paws where planted solidly on the ground.
There was a a pause... this wasn't even.... her room? Impossible she would've noticed if anyone had been in her room. Where in hells name was she? The tigress started looking around and slowly spotted her team members.
WHAM.
Willow's ears drew back quickly and she bore her fangs as the noise happened again. Looking to the left, she paused, there was a drill or something digging into the ground. Everything around it, was dissolving.... Willow paused, what's going on?
Halloween looked like it was being broken up.... there was another noise the ghoul turned around sharply looking ready to defend herself, but two figures just walked past and stopped to look at the drill before continuing... The tiger ghoul nipped at her shoulder, surely she was dreaming.... though alas there was pain with the n**.
WHAM.
"Wha....!?" Willow looked stunned and rather bewildered as she watched. "How is this even possible? What's going on......" Suddenly she remembered the others from her group where here as well.
"Guys..... Hey Guys....." She called trying to look everywhere at once, this wasn't good... it was more like the soulless' creature's nightmare. A shiver ran down her spine as she recalled the incident. She didn't want this to be another one of those.

He wasn't wet. He was dry. This alone alerted Merope to the fact that there was Something Wrong, as his bed was quite literally a pool of salt water. The boil rolled over on the ground and sat up, dropping back to the ground and pushing himself flat against it as the loud noise shook the ground. He stayed there, prone as his mind tried to catch up with what was going on.
He gave up trying to make sense of it after three seconds. As he heard Willow call out, Merope began to move in her direction before freezing. Wait. Amityville was missing. What was going on?!
"Willow," He called out, moving towards her. "Willow, I'm here. What happened to the school?"

Something seems to have separated from the mass of fog, staring hungrily in your direction. It tries to talk, but instead, hisses lowly, though you can make out a single word as it speaks.

Willow's ears flicked back when Merope answered. She shook her head looking around, "I don't know..." She answered after a few seconds of consideration. "No one had been in our rooms from what I could tell prior to this."
The large tiger looked worried, "I have a very bad feeling about this though." And no sooner had she mentioned the bad feeling something from the mist came towards her.
The tiger growled at the figure. Home? "I'll send you home." She said fur fluffed out. She was watching the figure attempting to figure out if it was a foe or just her imagination. Eventually on deciding it wasn't a friend. "Watch out." She added taking off running towards the mist and aiming a paw directly towards it, feeling it connect but something was weird about it, the fact it actually hit.
"I don't like it... It reminds me too much of a vision that I experienced at the haunted house. Expect that one was even worse." There was a pause as she circled the mist creature. "We should do something more than stand around here I think."HP: 30/30 Damage: 10 - 6 = 4 Target: Mist figure Mist figure HP: 6

"Ashbel... get off my face... Jin, stop making that sound." Amarus muttered, waving in irritation, before she realized it was her sleeve over her face, and the sound, upon really waking up, turned out to be the groaning of a drill?... What the hell was going on?
Amarus was worried, very worried. Which did not look a whole lot different from her usual expression: blank silver eyes, slightly haughty stare. That was pretty much all. It looked like nothing was going on underneath, really. But Amarus couldn't grasp the fact that this was real. However, it wasn't the first time she had woken up to something so strange, just... this time, it affected not only her, but everyone. Where were they?
She looked around, tried to spot her group; there was the tree, so these were the school grounds.
Amarus knelt, swiped two fingers across the ground, rubbing them together and watching as the charred grass crumbled on her fingers. She set out looking for her group, which... really wasn't so difficult, when everything was this flat and eventually happened upon Merope and Willow just in time to hear her say that the thing that was attacking them reminded her a of something she saw in the Haunted House.
Which made her laugh, because that was where she had come from. "Want any backup, Willow?..." Amarus asked the ghoul. It looked like a fairly weak creature, and Willow was taking care of it, but they were a group. She didn't want any of them to have to take more strain than necessary, if they were going to survive whatever this is. Amarus folded her hands into Rin and aimed for the fog thing.
The shadowy figures nearby for this made Amarus think. She had talked to one that looked just like them, before, and they had guided her into the trial from which she had emerged victorious. "Shouldn't we... talk to them? I don't know about what, maybe they know something."
Amarus was a little nervous about them, but what did they have on their own? No idea what was going on, no clue as to how to proceed.

"I would love some backup." The tiger answered as she circled the mist creature. Her tail flickering and watching Amarus attack before going in with a bite.
She watched it as it fell away. The tiger sighed and shook her head. "Do you think it's even safe to talk to them?" She was watching the ones that had stopped to watch the drill. Her tail flickered as she thought, the soulless one had removed any want to talk to anyone in this scenario. "I mean I guess we can... but if they want to make a contract I'm not sticking around."

Ulmuka became aware of the breeze first. The wind through his feathers was fairly noticeable. He was in his natural form, perched on some low-lying rubble. Back in his room he had a nice comfy wooden perch so when he opened his eyes and found himself outdoors he 'hoo-ed' in alarm.
The large owl blinked his eyes unevenly in an attempt to wake up or at least snap out of whatever dream this must be. It wasn't until he noticed his team mates that he realized that it must be part of the trials. The drill worried him and he agreed with Amarus.
"We should talk to them. Find out what's going on?" As an owl he waddled awkwardly over the ground until he saw that Willow was being attacked. He wasn't going to ask permission to fight. If one of his ghoul-friends was being attacked, he would help!
He swooped in at the shadow creature but he was a bit too late. Willow and Amarus had already taken care of it. Instead he fluttered himself to another piece of rubble and perched there. He pressed his feathers for only a moment and tried to make out more of the figures through the haze.
"This is clearly for the trials, yes? So we shouldn't need to mention that." He asked his group mates. "Those people could help us figure out what this is about."

This wasn't happening, no this seriously was not happening.
"This is a dream right Merel.... a really really normally bad dream right?" He asked the familiar black mouse as he continued to press his check into the dirt. The first was one of the first nights the reaper had any chance of sleep and instead of waking up comfortable in his bed he was... where was he anyways?
Pulling his cheek up he looked around, ignoring the squeaks of protest of sleeping mice that some how had all nestled around him as if huddled for a source of heat. It was the school grounds... sort of. The fog, lack of buildings and and the unusual sound of drill that causing the ground around it dissipate were not of the norm however, he stopped questioning things days ago since the trials had started.
Picking himself up off the ground he paused letting his mice rub their eyes and finally crawl their way into his pockets as Merel claimed her rightful place on the top of his head. He could hear the rest of his teammates voices, something about fighting and Willow, but then Muka chimed in about people and wanting to talk to them.
"I think... talking to others is better than heading towards the drill......." Joachim replied as he dusted the dirt off of him and joined the rest of his teammates. "However, I wouldn't let our guard down near them....." Much like Amarus he was a little nervous about going up to others and chatting freely, this was as Muka mentioned still part of the trials and there was no telling what sort of tricks the horsemen had up their sleeves.

Willow followed the group almost reluctantly, staying in her natural form. Her tail flickered as they approached about to ask for some information there was frown when they pointed weapons at them. And suddenly nets. The tiger didn't even get out of her mouth to run.
When she woke up her whole group was in a glass room and on the outside... "Hunters..." She hissed. Warningly. Her fur fluffed out, she didn't care if they meant to threaten or not. She was already on high guard. Sitting there a fluffed up the tigers eyes narrowed at those in cloaks she didn't like it.
There was a small hiss from the tiger "I'd advise not to answer them. We have nothing to give them, they have nothing to give us."
