Team Leader: Taryn - Rabid Ice Weasel, Mort - Ol-J-man, Chuppi - Rown, Alexander - Seussi, Yin - ramenli

IF YOU ARE TRAPPED IN THE ROOM, REGARDLESS OF WHAT CHOICE YOU SAY (A, B OR C)

IF YOU ARE TRAPPED, REGARDLESS OF WHAT CHOICE YOU SAY

The figure in white seems unamused by whatever you have to say, simply sighing and tapping his pen against his clipboard. "Yeah, thought so. I guess we'll have to do this the fun way." He gestures for another two figures, they look up into your cage and-

- You hear a hissing noise in your cage, manage to struggle, stay awake for a second longer before you black out.

OOC: SELECTING A GROUP MEMBER

- EVERYONE in the group must NOW roll a 100-sided dice at this point and RP out the above (all active members, if you have an inactive member, you can just skip to). The person with the LOWEST roll must RP out the prompt below titled "WEAPONS CONVERSION". Everyone else rps out the regular prompt titled "TRAPPED". Even if the WEAPONS CONVERSION player posts their prompt later, it is assumed that ICly the "weapons conversion" post happened first and then the "trapped" one.
- You are rping reactions for one OR the other, depending what you roll. Rp reactions don't need to be posted chronologically. (That way you don't need to wait for them if you have different time zones).
- If you have been rolled for weapons conversion your CHARACTER IS "DEAD". That means you can no longer rp them sorry sad Consider this their death post, and write out reactions as necessary: solid death posts will be given bonus trial points!
- PLEASE NOW MARK YOUR THREAD AS [CAPTURED] instead of OPEN or CLOSED

WEAPONS CONVERSION PROMPT

When you wake up, you are staring out of a large, cylindrical cage. You press your hand against it, but the walls hurt as if charged by electricity. You recoil to the very center of the cylinder: the light hurts your eyes. You can hear someone vaguely talking outside, you can see shapes, boxes outside, transparent boxes with your team members in there.

There is a loud crackle, a synthetic humming noise, and as you look up-

- Pain. Agony that jolts into you, thousands of times worse than being simply electrocuted, worse than when you were forced to dissipate, you might have screamed, you might have thrashed, it is hard to tell at this point, all you can feel is the pain-

And then you feel something in you snap, shift, and your Fear, as finally, your form involuntarily begins to warp, distort as well. It hurts, the pain still hurts, it is blinding, but as your body fights to re-stabilize itself, you feel better, whole, complete again. Your vision clears again, just for a little bit - you see figures in strange plastic boxes outside, -who are they, they look familiar - but it doesn't matter anymore.

Something clicks in you, like a switch turning on, there is no more pain, panic, hatred, the memories washed out, lackluster.

No, in your world of darkness, emptiness, there is only a slowly gnawing hunger, quiet and insatiable.

TRAPPED

When you wake up you realize you are trapped in a transparent box - a cage. You see the others all around you, but one of your group members is missing.

No, instead, they are huddled in a cylindrical glass cage, a rather large one who's height spans the entire room. They look scared, they look out towards you. You want to say something, maybe that everything will be okay, but you can't. You know it's not true. You know they can't even hear you.

The person is talking now, the figure in the white cloak. They threaten you, saying one of you is next if you don't tell them the truth. If you don't speak the truth, you will be next. And finally, they make you watch, they make you watch as your teammate screams, thrashes around in the cylinder helplessly, and then is consumed completely.

A dull weapon lies where your teammate was. The figure picks up the weapon, and talks to you again. He wants to know the truth, of who you are and where you come from. You turn to your remaining group members for support.

a) You finally tell him exactly what happened from the trials to where you are now

b) You tell then nothing. If you go down, you will go down fighting.

What in the...?

Taryn surveyed their surroundings with serious trepidation. She didn't think it was beyond the clans to send them somewhere terrible. It seemed, though, like this was where Amityville... should be? Or maybe... had been...

Two others wandered toward the group, and Taryn could only nervously look between her teammates. Hiding was not an option, but should they approach the other Halloweeners? She'd learned that things were not always as they seemed, especially at the mercy of the Academy.

"Do you think we should approach our friends, here?" she asked Mort softly, nodding toward the approaching figures.

Mort was sure he'd entered a haze - he didn't truly sleep, but sometimes if he stood still or sat still or lied down long enough he would enter a "haze" - a period of time where he would just be daydreaming until whatever length of time his body decided to wake up, or until something stimulated him to. Only on occasion would he be graced with an actual "haze-dream", however, and not one that looked like this. Not one that looked real.

How did Mort grasp quickly that this was not a haze-dream? Taryn wasn't in a sexy librarian outfit Chuppi wasn't whispering sweet Spanish nothings in his ear Eris wasn't caressing his face tantalizingly He was in the same body, with the same drawbacks, and the same aches from real life. Also the rest of his team was there and, suffice to say, Yin and Alex were definitely not people he had dreams about.

"Mrr . . ." Mort glanced at the distant figures. "N-Not sure if friends, but are here for reason. Should talk to."
PostPosted: Sun Mar 18, 2012 8:17 pm

It wasn't a dream and therefore Chuppi really was crying. The monster had her hands on either side of her face as she walked over to the undead and the other monster, her small shoulders shaking as she sobbed. They weren't loud cries, thankfully her voice still under control, but it was obvious she was unhappy with the situation and more than a little terrified. She wasn't exactly making herself hard to notice either against the strangers that loomed in the distance and, as she finally got to Mort and Taryn's sides she rubbed at her nose and looked up at the pair.

"I...I want to go home. This is scary." Her brain was screaming STRANGER DANGER at the sight of the two unknowns even though from their general looks they didn't appear to be the hunters. All she knew was that everything was dangerous, these trials were a terrifying thing, and the chupacabra didn't hestitate in her actions when she moved and placed her arms about Mort's frame. Her hug wasn't one for comfort to him - it was for comfort for her. "Mort, por favor, let's go home. No more of this."

Yin had expected to wake up next to Alexander. But was still sore from the the previous day and as he woke it was to a pounding like he had never experienced before. It shook the ground beneath him, vibrating his very being but painfully jostled one of his ribs. With a gasp he opened his eyes and looked at the zomboil.

And then past him.

There was nothing. No walls. No mirrors. No training mats.

No Princess Eva.

He was obviously in some sort of horrible place.

He sat up, looking around anxiously and spotting the other group members. "I do not think it would be wise to be separated from our team right now Alexander," he told him as he stood up and stretched out a hand to the zomboil, though his eyes were busy sweeping the area.

Alex hadn't dozed off, as it was, but he did do his best as he lay in the bed next to the weremantis. Normally he would have just sat up reading a book but after the last trials events and all of it's stress and worries he just wanted to be near Yin, and never leave his side again. Ever. So he did what he had the first night he'd stayed in the mantodae's room, closing his eyes and letting his mind drift, until he reached a point of almost complete stasis.

Though he was brought out of it very quickly by a loud noise, and an earth rattling shake. His eyes flew open, as he looked around. He felt disoriented, which was not usually the case, but when one's eyes open to nothingness, no walls, no school, just the weremantis beside you and the rest of your team mates in the distance, it's a little hard not be disoriented.

He nodded at Yin, and grabbed ahold of his hand, hauling himself to his feet. "Do you...think this has anything to do with the final trial?" He whispered, feeling like he shouldn't talk too loudly. Through the fine mist in the air, beyond the rest of the team, he could see two dark figures approaching, and he almost felt relieved. Somebody else was here, and they could maybe tell them what was going on?

Taryn's brow knitted further at that appearance of the tiny chupacabra, who was already crying. She had been crying when they'd come to find her after the first round of the last trial as well, and in that the chimera only saw danger.

"Be strong," she said, firmly but not aggressively toward Chuppi, "You signed up for these trials as well. You knew it would be hard. It's a very, very serious, important coming-of-age event for the four clans. There's no turning back, unless you want to abandon us, to risk us failing because you're afraid. We're all afraid, but we have to be strong."

Warriors didn't cry. Boogeymen didn't cry. They were half-grown Halloweeners, with what they'd been through, they shouldn't be crying either. Taryn narrowed her eyes and watched the others approaching.

"I'm going to go talk to them. If someone could come with me, just in case...?" Nothing was as it seemed.

Hugs were great regardless of the reason, but . . . Oh dear, not the crying. Ghouls crying were the worst situations a guy like Mort could be in. The zomboil attempted to pat her shoulder to put Chuppi at ease as Taryn talked her down, giving the chimera a grateful look for saying coherently what he was gonna try to say but fail at. "I-Is scary, yes," he told Chuppi. "But have to doing. Can't stop. Have move forward."

With that, he gently, firmly, pried the ghoul off, trying at a reassuring smile before he turned to the other two boils. "Yin, Alex, stay with Chuppi. Will go with Taryn for checking out visitors. You three watch backs n'case funny business happen."

He then nodded to Taryn, ready to head out when she was.

"It might indeed. Who can know what the Horsemen are thinking?"

They made it over to the group and as soon as the words were out of Mort's mouth funny business appeared. In the form of something trying to attack their leader. Miss Taryn. Appearing and going straight for the ghoul.

Yin would not have that. He lunged forward and...oh right. He had been severely injured the day before. Something popped that should not have and with a hiss he faltered, unable to carry out the attack.

Talking down to Chuppi and telling her to be brave wasn't really the right thing to do, not when the little monster was already at her wits end. Having someone tell her to basically knock it off, even though they weren't exactly yelling at her, was enough to make her snap entirely to the other end of the spectrum. If they didn't want to her to cry, fine - but that was about it. The sobs stopped but the tears still flowed as Chuppi backed away from the pair, unsure of what to say or do.

Not only had she failed at getting them flags but she'd failed here too and made them angry with her. "I...just wanted to be useful." She couldn't defend herself, there was nothing to say. Trying to go over to Alex and Yin would be a failure, they were absorbed with each other and with good reason, love was a powerful moving force, and if she tried to be at their side she would certainly be a wheel under their feet.

So instead she just backed away and stood there, closing her eyes and turning her head to the side. She was useless, utterly useless, but she needed to be there or else everyone would fail. She wasn't as old as they were, nor was she as brave as they were, so it . . . . she should never have come.

Alex nodded at Yin, and gave him a small smile, though he eyed the other boil worriedly when the weremantis was looking the other way. Should he really be participating in this trial so soon after the beating he had taken the day before after falling off of the cliff? He knew what Yin would say, however, and he knew that the other boil would never want to appear weak in front of the others so he kept his opinions to himself for now.

As they approached the group, Alex said to Taryn, "I think that's a good idea." though he didn't volunteer himself to go with the ghoul, happily leaving that job to Mort. He looked over towards Chuppi, who appeared to be more then a little upset at the moment, wishing he knew how to comfort her but not knowing what he could do or say. Besides, he had to agree with both Taryn and Mort on this one. They had signed up for the trials knowing that it was going to be hard, that it was going to probably be emotionally, physically, and mentally traumatic. Perhaps the monster ghoul was just in over her depth, but there was no way of turning back now.

He watched as Taryn and Mort began to make their way over towards the strange figures approaching, and expected Chuppi to come and wait with him and Yin, though she didn't. Maybe she was mad at Alex for ignoring her and the rest of the team the day before in the tent, when Yin had been so injured and Alex had refused to leave his side? He felt badly for that now, but at the time, he had just been to sick with worry for his bonded to even care about anybody else. As horrible as it was, that was the truth of it.

He was just about to go towards her, to try and offer some soothing words of comfort when a cloak figure appeared out of the mist and appeared to be going after Taryn. "Look out!" He shouted, moving forward to add what little he could offer towards the battle at hand. He saw Yin move out of the corner of his eye, and cursed inwardly, not wanting him to involve himself and hurt himself more then he already was.

Fortunatly (or maybe unfortunatly, it depended on how Alex looked at it) the weremantis stumbled, something obviously causing him too much discomfort to fight, and Alex hesitated, even as he threw a punch, stumbling in his momentary distraction, causing his swipe to barely graze by and do nothing.

This was precisely why Taryn planned to bring along company. Without thinking she struck out with an arm and slashed at the thing's face... or what might have been a face at one time.

Were these... dead Halloweeners? She dare not think it.

Chuppi's backing up had done nothing expect. . . .well, except for the fact that she now had the room to properly attack the creature. It was as she moved and shoved the whole force of her body into it that Chuppi remembered why she signed up and, even though she was scared still, she wasn't crying.

"I am here to protect you." Chuppi was a goddamn tank and she sure as Jack knew it. Being heavy and spiky sort of made up for her being all kinds of scared, really. If Taryn hadn't hit the thing first she almost could have taken it down all on her own with the power of her strike - no need for anything fancy. "Are you okay, Taryn?"

The effort not to start crying again was there and apparent.
