Princess Eva was not pleased. Which meant that as much as Lady Terror wanted to play with the puppy that Yin had brought back as "homework," she only did it at the risk of angering the obvious ruler of the domain known as Yin's dorm room. The puppy, of course, noticed none of this. It wanted to play. And lick. And be everywhere it possibly could at once, no matter if someone was already there or not. Which was why Yin's perfect angel was starting to get stressed out.

And seeing as how he doted on her more than anyone, he could tell. And it was time for her to get a break. "I shall be back shortly Princess Eva. I shall just take Dà Lì on a walk and burn some of her energy off." With Dà Lì's collar and leash consisting of a spare wrap that he was not wearing the pair set off, out of the Monster Dormitory and onto the campus.

The first thing he did was set off at a fairly decent pace, the cycorgi bounding happily beside him as he finally settled into a pace it could match. After some of their initial energy had worn off he decided to just let the cycorgi meander, trailing after it as she examined anything and everything that came across her path.

Back in Yin's dorm room Princess Eva settled in for a very well deserved nap, the rabo curling up on Yin's pillow. Not that he would ever get mad at her for it.

Friend. There was a friend. The pup began to get excited as soon as she smelled the other cycorgi. Not wanting her to strain against her makeshift collar Yin hurried to keep up with her as she bounded forward playfully. She had a mission, and the boil that owned her had enough energy to keep up with her. And did not like refusing his (so far all female) pets.

At least, he did not like it until he saw just where Dà Lì was leading him. Which just so happened to be straight at a strange ghoul he had never met, standing next to a bed of plants. At this pace the only thing he could do was yank her "leash" and he was not willing to do that. "Whoa Dà Lì. Stop. Come on ghoul stop. Not there..." The cycorgi finally slowed as she neared and...went to sniff the other puppy. Highly sophisticated.

Yin faced the other ghoul, rather embarrassed at his entrance, that he had practically ran up to her before he could skid to a halt. "My apologies Miss," he said somewhat nervously, glancing down at his puppy that now seemed rather eager to play with the other, or...in biting a plant? That seemed bizarre. "It appears that Dà Lì sensed another puppy around and wanted to come play. I did not mean to intrude upon your walk."

Dà Lì appeared to be...trying to taste everything. She licked the dirt. She licked the plants. She licked the other puppy. She licked a rock. She licked all the things.

"Yes, you are probably correct." Yin was slightly busy being worried with what was wrong with his puppy. Princess Eva never licked everything in sight, though...that reminded him that Dà Lì had licked Princess Eva when they had first met. Maybe it was to make up for her poor sight?

"Greetings Miss Anna, I am Yǐn Cáng. I attended the class, and I was glad to hear that our cycorgis would not grow quite so large." The ghoul looking possible tired, or distracted, but he did not really know her enough to tell. "I needed to take her on a walk," he said glancing down at the pup. "She seems to be stressing out my other pets."

Her familiar? He had heard of the term, and read a bit about them in his book about Halloween. But he was not sure if he had ever actually met one. "He will not let the pet stay? At all?" He looked down at the puppy, eyeing it as it burped. Princess Eva would probably not appreciate another pet.

Da Li on the other hand seemed fascinated by him, and was crouching down down, butt in the air, wriggling and ready to pounce.

"I do not desire another puppy, but...do you not know anyone that could take him? Perhaps someone that did not attend the class." Or maybe, his stomach pointed out, the cafeteria. He somehow doubted she would appreciate the suggestion.

Apparently he had said the wrong thing. Something horribly wrong really. She looked upset, and he glanced around nervously for someone that might be better equipped to deal with it. And saw no one. Really now, why did the area have to be deserted now?

Then again, if she did not want the pup to get eaten she probably should not have been asking him.

Then he got a good look at her face. Was she...oh Great Mantis it looked like she was going to start crying. He could feel himself starting to panic. Ghoul in distress. Ghoul in distress and he was the only one there to try to fix it. She seemed so nice, he could not just run off on her.

"Please do not cry Miss Anna," he said, voice tight with stress. "I am sure that you have lots of friends, you are a very nice ghoul. And...and if you cannot find anyone else I could take him. If you are absolutely sure that you do not want him or you could find a better home for him..." What was he doing? Was he really offering to take care of her new pet? What was he even saying. He was not supposed to just obey ghouls anymore.

But she looked like she was about to cry. One could not just ignore that.

She was crying. She was actually crying. Ghouls were not supposed to cry, everything should be done to help ghouls not to cry and to make them happy. Sure, he no longer lived in a place where that was a necessity but since he had come to Amityville...there had been few chances to see ghouls crying, and it was something rather ingrained in him. And there was no one else around to take care of it.

"Please, Miss Anna," he pleaded with her. "Please cheer up. Indeed, it is not your fault. And it did not bother me that you asked. I am sure that your cycorgi will find a good home." Now he wished he had paid more attention in those classes at home of how to deal with crying ghouls, as he currently felt rather useless. "Maybe I could look for a new home for him for you?"

Da Li found it important that she flop on the other puppy. It seemed like it would be useful.

This really all made Yin quite nervous and he had to swallow a lump in his throat as he nodded. "Yes I will offer my assistance. But...just for this matter," he cautioned. It would not be good for her to think that he would just help her with anything all the time. But for the cycorgi that she was so upset over? What if Princess Eva had demanded that Da Li not be allowed at all? He could understand that. And his rabo could have made it very clear if that was how she felt. "And since I have offered to help can you stop crying now?" he questioned hopefully.

He was going to mouth her paw? Just like that? She wriggled and squirmed, trying to reach one of his ears. To tug it a bit, not actually bite down on it.

Oh no, had it been that obvious? Apparently his offer was being taken rather badly, and it was actually only serving to upset the ghoul further. "Well I...I..." Yes, yes he was just trying to get her to stop crying. But why else would a complete stranger be trying to help her out? Before he could think of a good way to put that she was telling him she would cry as much as she wanted.

And crying harder than ever.

He was completely flustered at this point. "Miss Anna, no I do not pity you. Miss Anna....I did not...I..." Pretty well useless really. As a last ditch ever he pointed at the puppies, where Da Li had managed to start rolling them toward a particularly muddy area. "Uh....the puppies....will they hurt those plants?" Fail distraction techniques? Oh yes. Maybe he could get her well and truly distracted, snatch up Da Li, and run.
