 Welcome to the town of Smallville, Kansas. Thankfully, the people here have mostly avoided the chaos and destruction most of the cities and citizens have endured over past months across the country. At the rate this is going, it's most likely to stay that way.

[ENTER Superboy/Kon-el/Conner Kent from Xavier's Institute]  The first wave of relief hit Conner once he spotted the little town. The second wave came with the realization that, all together, Smallville looked practically untouched from the disasterous happenings that had befallen their mixed universes. He followed his usual and familiar path towards home, where hopefully he would find John and Martha Kent safe and sound. Kon took lead over the cornfields to the Kent farm, making a quick glance behind to Rogue.

 [Enter Rogue from Xavier's Institute] Marie waved at Konner while flying in toward the Kansas town called Smallville, "Don't cha worry, Kansas. Ya didn't lose meh. Ya know, Ah think dis is tha first time Ah've ahver set foot in Kansas. Ah've flown over it about a dozen times, but never actually touched down here. Ummm.... quick question, hun: Would the local folk get violently opposed to mutants or not? Ah've seen some places git real ugly about dat."

Kon found this an odd question... he certainly wasn't expecting it, but considering what he learned about the verse she was from, it really wasn't an outlandish thing to ask.
"There arn't problems about that here."
He was very excited as they neared the Kent farm, and he was ready to run in once they touched the ground but first he did a split second scan to see if anyone was outside.
"Pa? Ma?"
He tried the door, hoping to God someone was home.

Rogue touched down on the ground near Superboy. While Konner was checking to see if his the Kents were home, Maire was beginning to familiarize herself with the Kent farm's sights and smells. For everything that the Mississippi native has gone through, this place was quiet and peaceful.

Soon enough, the door was open by an aged woman who had a look of both relief and shock on her face. Conner hugged her as she appeared, and her voice portrayed just as much surprise as her expression did.
"Conner!"
Superboy was careful about his strength for the woman, but it was a fair bearhug.

Rogue turned at the sound of Mrs. Kent declaration and saw Conner hugging his mom. A warm smile grew on Marie's face, as she took a couple of steps in their direction -- but not wanting to interrupt the family greeting, Ya can tell a lot 'bout people in how they are with their parents. Dis musta bin a nice home ta grow up in.

Conner leaned away so he could look Mrs. Kent in the eye.
"Is.......did Clark...visit?"
The woman smiled gently back at him, trying her best to hide the pain that her mother-instincts gave her. She was so worried about her sons, along with the people she knew who didn't live in Smallville.
"You've been the first to come by in months."
Superboy nodded his head and paused, before turning around to bring attention to Rogue.
"Ma, this is Marie. She's a friend."
He stepped out of the way so the two could properly greet.

Rogue slowly walked up extending a gloved hand and smiling warmly at Mrs. Kent, "Tis a real pleasure ta meet you, Ma'am. You have a fine son right here."

Mrs. Kent smiled back and took Rogue's hand in welcome.
"Come inside, you two-"
She waved them into the house. Couldn't just have them standing in the doorway like that!

Rogue walked in behind Mrs. Kent and whispered to Konner, "She seems real nice, Kansas." As Marie passed Konner inside, she gave him a wink. Then, Rogue began to look around the Kent home, getting a feel for the place, "Ah thank ya for your kind hospitality, Mrs. Kent. Your home's real nahce, by tha way."

Conner smiled and followed Marie into the house, shutting the door behind him. It felt so good to be home on top of knowing that home still existed.

Mrs. Kent beamed and headed straight for a separate room. Conner scratched the back of his neck and chuckled.
"I've only been living here for a few years, but it's home..."
Wow, a very awkward thought crossed his mind. How would he explain that he'd only been alive for a few years. Sure he had the mentality of a teenager... but from the verse he was from, it was common knowledge that Superboy, Kon-el, was the clone of Superman....

Rogue spied Konner's nervousness and raised an eyebrow. Slowly the Southerner walked toward Superboy with her hands folded behind her, "Why do Ah have the suspicion that Mama has a few incriminatin photos of ya?"
