Has anyone in the guild that lives in Canada taken or is going to take the Gauss, Pascal, Cayley, or Fermat math contests by the University of Waterloo?

I'm just wondering, because I'm not sure. I just am.
I know that the fermat was horrid... I left eight questions blank and guessed on three... out of twenty-five xD

If not, say something about a contest you've taken? My threads always die and they're somewhat boring so help me!

I don't live in Canada. sweatdrop Even if I did, I probably wouldn't enter. Math is my Achilles Heel (sp?). xp

I live in Florida. D; The retirement state. And I wouldn't enter either. Although I'm really good at math.

I probally would do it just for the fun of it,but I probally wouldn't do well because I don't like math all that much but I'm pretty good at it.Plus I don't live in Canada anymore.

Nope, don't live in Canada. D: But math contests......... I can't help but think I was in some sort. Or maybe that was something else. xDD Oh yeah! The Academic Bowl back in elementary school!

But I wouldn't want to enter a math contest about now. >> I hate competitions. Unless it's Pre-calc and under minus geometry then I can handle it.

I took it because I did the Gauss test in grade 8 and made first, so I thought it would be easy. Wrong! xD

They start it off with easy questions like:

The value of 1/4*5 is?

They make you feel good about yourself. And then all of a sudden:

If a and b are positive integers such that 1/a + 1/2a + 1/3a = 1/b^-2b, then the smallest possible value of a + b is?

And then I go LYKWTFMAN!?!??

-lives in Canada whee - I took the Pascal last year and it was pretty easy xD I came in third in my grade sweatdrop . Just today, I took the Cayley for Gr. 10. Holy crap xD they started out really easy, but by the time you get to Part C, ugggh. I left like 4 or 5 blank, but you get 2 points for each unanswered xd .
