Before was back in the Mess Hall, still carrying an armful of books except these weren't cooking or food related. There were little sticky notes on each one, with a short, handwritten message messily scrawled on along with a big, goofy smiley face. The kind of smile that looked almost exactly like the one currently plastered on the Misty's face. Pity it wasn't going to stay on his face for as long as he was hoping for.

Rep had swung round to the mess hall in the vague and feeble hope that the kitchen might have been fixed. His date with Clarice was but a wonderful memory, the thoughts of nutella and chocolate torment more than anything else. But it seemed when he got there that there was nothing to be found, and it looked like he'd be back to rations again. This did very little for his mood.
And then he spotted Before and it did even less for his mood. Sometimes it was just impossible to keep a lid on things. Besides, it wasn't like Before was female..or this was a mission.
He prowled over to lean on the table.
"So. No Rin to hide behind today."

The world suddenly went still for Before when he heard a voice. s**t. s**t s**t s**t s**t s**t s**t fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck! M-maybe Rep was talking to someone else! Yeah, that was possible, right? A slow glance to his left, then his right revealed nope. No one else was there 8CCCCC With painstaking slowness, he raised his head to face the looming Sunny and pointed a gloved finger at himself.
"You talking to me?" His tone was even, possibly calm, except underneath the table, his legs were tensed and ready to bolt the first chance he got.

Rep gave the other man a very deadpan look.
"No ********, I was talking to the other guy in here. What do you think?" he drawled sarcastically, as always standing just that bit too close to the mist's personal space. "You were being a complete smartarse last time with Rin around. Figured I owed you a talk. Just you and me this time."
His entire posture was tense and poised aggressively, memories of last time and his failed attempts to be somewhat tolerable at the front of his mind. He owed this guy some payback he felt. It only made it that much more pressing a need with him being in the b***h division. Rep did not like mist, not one bit.

As surreptitiously and covertly as Before could (a cross between Average and Satisfactory), he began to gather his things again. The last thing he wanted or needed was Rep ruining what he'd already made. Also being seen with Archie comics tended to get weird looks from people who weren't Bix :/
"Didn't think we got anything that needs to be talked about?" Before once again attempted to steer the conversation to a dead end as he leaned back in his seat. Okay maybe that was a bad choice of words given the intimidating, possibly even deadly, aura Rep was exuding at the moment. Sure Before was an Intermediate Trainee in what was considered the "Special Ops" division but he didn't start out there. Not to mention Before just didn't do well in altercations.

Rep's attention was immediately drawn to what Before was doing, noticing the way the other man tried to subtly gather up his possessions. No, he wasn't about to let him shut down on him again.
"Oh I think we /do/ have something to talk about ********. Something called respect."
And without any warning, he moved to snatch one of the man's books up off the table

Before was, quite literally, splayed on top of the table. He was expecting something like this from Rep and dove onto the surface, protectively covering the comic books. "Why do I need your respect?" He asked in complete sincerity. Before had figured out that he should really just stop trying to aim for respect. Few people had ever shown him any (not without the monetary incentives his parents threw for him) and even with this "new life" of his, he doubted he'd be given it. Then he quickly added, "Or you mine?"

Rep smirked as his movement got a reaction he was looking for, just leaning both his hands on the table as his present attempt to get the comic books was deterred, at least for the moment. "Hah. You don't get /my/ respect. I mean for one to ******** do that you'd need to be like an actual /man/." He tried not to think about the /problems/ with that idea of man that had come up lately, he couldn't afford to overthink s**t right now.
"As for why I want yours? Because I pretty much ******** demand it. I don't need your smartass comments the minute you think you are safe from me. I'm not someone you can just ******** with." he practically snarled the words.

Before would tilt his head at Rep if it were physically possible with him on the table. But instead, he opted to ask, as sincere and seriously as he could, "What the ******** are you talking about?" He began to slide back onto his feet, his arms scooping the comics up against his chest, all the while never taking his eyes off of Rep. "But, sure, whatevs, you totes got my respect," he hastily added.

Before's apparent ignorance only made Rep all the worse as what little restraint he had snapped under the strain, grabbing one of the bundled comics out of his arms and backing away to flick through it.
"Hahah what the ******** is this s**t? Little ******** homo guy adventures." the fact he actually hesitated before the word homo with a slight pang of guilt made him even more angry. He turned his attentions to the notes. "And you ******** write NOTES on it. What a ******** little nerdy ******** you are."
He shrugged. "Read something that isn't for pussies man."
And with that he ripped it into several small pieces, smirking directly at Before the whole time.

Before's first concern was: "H-hey! That's part two of a three-parter! Don't do a-" he was cut off by the sound of ripping paper. And normally Before didn't blink when it came to the destruction of his personal property. He could always buy a new one, it's not like that particular issue was a limited edition or signed by the artist anything. But then Rep had to insult the notes he was writing for Tori and suddenly it was the best ******** thing for the Misty that the Mess Hall was as empty as it was when the rest of the comics were dropped in favor of swinging a big-a** wheel right at the Sunny.

Rep was expecting the snap when it came, but it made it no less thrilling as out of nowhere he was smashed into by the giant wheel, launched reeling backwards by a good few feet, over the table with a crash and landing hard on his back. He scrambled to his feet, laughing almost madly.
"Hahah THAT is more ******** LIKE it." In a flash he had Tracey in his hands, summoned nimbly.
<< William doesn't give a ******** >> He probably might later, but for now it was just a fight right? It wasn't a mission. Just a bit of... high spirits. Yeah.
"Call that a ******** weapon? THIS is a weapon." And leaping over the table, he swung hard at the other man. Even if he did swing a bit wide of the mark

Before would have said something in defense of his partner, except he's decided that Rep was. Just. Not. Worth the words. He didn't think Vanna was a weapon? Okay, keep thinking that, then. He adjusted his hold on the handle, positioning Vanna in front of him like a shield to absorb the strike from the ax. "Impressive," he deadpanned, "But I've seen bigger."

Rep narrowed his eyes properly at the comment about Tracey.
<< DID YOU ******** HEAR THAT HE CALLED YOU SMALL >> << ******** SUPPORT WOULD BE NICE >>
"At least Tracey isn't a ******** wagon wheel." He doubted they even had the biscuits here but he'd be damned if that'd stop him.
However, instead of actually attacking Before. He flipped the entire table in his direction with the blade of the axe instead, revelling in the SLAM of it hitting the ground, even if it didn't actually /hit/ the other man.
