Bright beautiful lights accented a usually pale blue sky, the purples and orange rays seemed to glow over the landscape Kelda`Hades was looking at. She was laid down, curled up and getting quite tired, but just couldn't seem to fall asleep. She had been alone a long time, the silence was putting an ache to her heart. Her family was long gone, the mate she thought she had vanished and it only seemed to go downhill from there.
"And now I haven't seen a soul." She grumbled humorlessly. Her moods were getting worse, she craved contact with something that would answer back. But the evening seemed to keep it's promise of further silence and she rested her head on her paws, simply waiting.

 Tafari had been missing his brother of sorts lately as he roamed the savannah, but he had taken this journey as a way to spend some time apart from the man-yeena that he loved so dearly. It was only healthy. His "brother" had found a female to love and, well, that left less time for Tafari. And that left Tafari all gloomy and pouty. So he'd bid his brother farewell, and promised to return. In the meantime, he was looking for company. It'd keep him from dwelling on the one he missed. It was just his luck that earlier in the day he'd caught scent of another hyena in the area. And so lucky was he that it smelled like a female! He'd been casually tracking her all day, but it was now getting late. He figured he'd have to stop and rest up soon, but... Wait... He saw a shape move and deduced it could only be the hyena he'd been so looking forward to meet! Now be cool, Tafari, he thought. Best not to creep a lady out buy introducing yourself with "Heyyy, I've just been following you all day, I see it's night time, mind if I cozy on up here?" He cleared his throat and groomed his fur. He'd just casually stroll by and have HER notice HIM. Simple and effective! Tafari nonchalantly walked past the hyena with no word or greeting.

Kelda was watching the sky so closely she nearly missed a peculiar scent in the air, another hyena was wandering about. Well not completely ‘wandering’, she realized, as the bright red pelted hyena came into view shortly after smelling him. He looked kind of bizarre, pulling the ‘smooth walk by’. She smirked silently, amused by the ploy to get her attention. She wasn’t old, but her age was well passed these little moves and so all she could do not to laugh was bite her lower lip and make a comment.
“You’re very suave, nice moves.” She almost giggled, but had to return to biting her lip. He was cute, if anything. The personality of a lone hyena was glowing and seeping in the air around him. He had been alone a little while, but not long. She figured he was basically in the same boat as him. “Well, youngster, why don’t you take a seat and watch the sunset?” She offered, patting the ground next to her with her tail. She smiled brilliantly at him, teasing him about his age a little, or atleast how he acted.
“This is the most beautiful time of the day, y’know?” Kelda smiled, a distant look came over her as she turned her gaze back to the soothing beams of sunlight almost fading away.

Tafari stopped short when the hyena spoke to him. He flipped his blonde forelock and pulled up a corner of his mouth in a crooked smile. "Who... me?" He laughed. Him? A youngster? He had been around the block a time or two... Usually Bluu was there with him. He tried not to choke on the tears brought on by sadness. He turned and sauntered on over to the lovely lady and laid himself next to her with a solid 'thump.'
With a raised eyebrow, he thought about what she said. He looked at the dimming sky and back to her. "...You've sure got that right." He took on a more serious, genuine look and rolled on his side to better look at her. "I'm Tafari, it's nice to meet you. I'm happy to have company finally."

Kelda listened to him speak, his voice was calm and sturdy, that of a time worn yeenur. It made her smile and relax completely. When she turned to look him over, she blushed slowly, his eyes were glued to her. Oh my, she felt a young surge of energy wash over her and she felt compelle dto smile even large if that was even possible, what a kind male. Her eyes softened and tail thumped the ground lightly as she took a few moments to openly look over him.
"I know what you mean about company Tafari.." Kelda spoke slowly, cooly, she wanted to savor the time she had, it wasn't to often she scored a chance to share an evening with a well spoken male. "My name is Kelda`Hades, but you can call me Kelda." If she was any color but black a blush would have shown, spreading over her cheeks.

As though he could sense her blush or nervous feelings, Tafari began to feel the same way. He quickly cast his eyes down and fought back a smile. He didn't want to seem weird or cheesy, but she was like... really pretty. It wasn't often that he got to spend time with ladies of her caliber. "It's nice to meet you, Kelda. So I'm guessing you don't have a pack? Mate? Siblings?" He tried to slide the 'mate' question in subtly, but kinda knew it probably wouldn't be as smooth as it sounded in his head.
The hyena wanted to scoot closer to his company, but fought the urge, but to do so, he just had to wiggle in place, as though settling himself deeper into the grass. His tail thumped the opposite rhythm to hers and he felt himself being the one examined now. He hoped Kelda liked what she saw.

Kelda`hades watched the other hyena closely, he was too darn sweet to be alone like this, she became curious slowly but surely. "Where's a nice hyena like you got all his family hidden?" She offered the moment of silence a little more conversation to share. Then he suddenly went off like a shot and she almost giggled and siddled away, but he had her in his grasp.
"No home, no more mate and I've never had family to what I've known. I'm sure I've had only a Mother and Father..." She says, sadly recalling her pups that were grown and gone. Perking up quickly after her moment of sadness she smiles at Tafari. "My questions still stand. Where's your ties? Mate, family?"
She waited patiently, closing the distance between the two of them by a few inches.
