Campsites at the Gathering of the Juggalos 2005
March 1, 2005
Camping at this year's Gathering of the Juggalos will be a bit different than previous years. While the Crystal Forest is the s**t, it is a bit lacking in campsites. A lot of ninjas will gather a big crew of their boys to throw in and split the campsite, maximizing the space and spreading the love. However, not everyone has a big crew, but they still want to be able to camp. With that idea in mind, we've taken the majority of the campsites and divided them in half, effectively doubling your chances of being able to get your own campsite and at the same time cuts the cost of the site in half! The only catch is that you're also sharing your site with another group of Juggalos, but then again, with so many Juggalos around as is, you're pretty close to camping with other crew right nearby anyway. Besides, that's what the Gathering is all about: spending time with your Juggalo Family!
The three types of campsites are as follows:
Full-Sites: $200
These are the typical campsites that previous attendants of the Gathering are accustom to. Owners of these sites may camp up to 10 people on their campsite, and have up to 3 tents and 1 vehicle. Vehicles bigger than mini-vans count as a tent in addition to your one vehicle (meaning you can only have 2 tents on the site if you have a van, truck, or other big vehicle). RVs are permitted, but you may not have any tents set up if you have one on your site. These sites offer a bit more space, but there aren't as many of them, so people who aren't able to get one and seek more privacy can always opt for a hotel.
Car & Tent Sites: $100
These campsites are half the size of the Full-Sites, accomidating only one car and tent. Like a Full-Site, you may have vehicles bigger than a mini-van on your site, but if you do, you may not have any tents. Car & Tent Sites are too small to accomidate RVs. You may have up to 5 people on each Car & Tent Site. Every Car & tent Site shares its space and firepit with a Two-Tent Site.
Two-Tent Sites: $100
Like Car & Tent Sites, these campsites are half the size of a Full-Site. You may have up to 2 tents and up to 5 people, but you may not have any vehicles on the site. Each Two-Tent Site shares its space and firepit with a Car & Tent Site.
Basically, the majority of the campsites are split in half, so your crew and one other crew share the same camping space. Work it out amongst everyone who is camping on the campsite where your respective tents will be, and just be cool with each other.
People with Car & Tent and Two-Tent Sites will get the email address of the people they're sharing their campsite with so they will have a chance to coordinate anything they need to in advance. You can even trade your tent space (or car space) with your site-mates if you like, but no matter what, the site is limited to 3 tents, 1 vehicle, 1 firepit, and all other Ohio State Camping and Health regulations. As a guideline, the crew with the Two-Tent Site should set up towards the back of the site and Car & tent Sites should be towards the front of the site.
Campsites go on sale Friday, March 11th at 6 PM EST. They will likely all be sold by 6:30 PM at the very latest, and are likely to all be gone way before then. If you really want to get a campsite, hit up JuggaloGathering.com at 6 PM exactly. Campsites are limited to one per order (not one of each type per order) to allow more people the chance to get one. We've increased the effective number of campsites and made it cheaper for more people to camp, but still sites will be in very high demand and will go very quickly. Do not wait until 6:05 and expect there to be any sites left. Get their on time for your best chance to get a site. And if you get there and don't see anywhere to buy a campsite, you're too late.
Littering and Vandalism
Out of everyone who comes to the Gathering, 99% of them are good Juggalos who respect the property of others and want to see the Gathering go on forever. However, there are the 1% out there who just tend to ******** it up for everyone by leaving trash everywhere. This year we're taking a much stricter stance on littering. If you leave your campsite completely trashed, leaving your garbage and crap everywhere, you will be banned from future Gatherings. For most people who will be sharing a campsite with another crew, this means that both parties are responsible for cleaning up the site, and if the site is trashed after you leave, we'll ban those responsible from all future Gatherings. If those sharing your site just wouldn't be reasonable and clean up their share of the mess, let us know and we'll either make them clean it up or throw them out of the park.
Likewise, we're taking a much harsher stance on vandalism. If you are caught stealing a chair, breaking a table, tagging an outhouse, or otherwise being destructive, we'll throw your a** right out of the Gathering on the spot and ban you from all future Gatherings.
We're not trying to be assholes about littering and vandalism. Juggalos from all over the country -- from all over the world -- are looking forward to the once-a-year event. For many out there, this is the one vacation, the one time in the year where they can get away from their troubles and still be truly at home. In years past, there have been a few too many people taking advantage of the Gathering, leaving their campsite tore up or wrecking our tents and tables. And every year, it costs us more and more to fix the damage. We're not asking you to not have fun, we're just asking you to not be a dickhead about it and be considerate with property you don't own.

Tickets On Sale in Two Weeks!

Hey, Juggalos and Juggalettes! As you probably know if you're checking this site out, tickets for the 6th annual Gathering of the Juggalos go on sale just two weeks from today! Once again, the Gathering will be held in Nelson Ledges Quarry Park. The response we keep hearing is that everyone is feeling the place, because there's no restrictions, and people can just be free to have a good time. Now, we never said that it's perfect... But we've taken some big steps to make it perfect. How? We've absolutely eliminated the top 3 (and only) complaints. And they are:
* Having to park 5 miles away at some other place
* Having to ride on the bus to and from Nelson Ledges 20 minutes each way
* Having to wait in line, sometimes up to an hour, to take a bus to Nelson Ledges
Now introducing, for the first time ever, free on-site parking for everyone! That's right, Juggalos, we bought the guy out across the street from the campgrounds. No more long lines, buses, worrying about where to put your s**t or storing it in some funk place, nothing. It's gonna be the whole family chillin' in one area for the first time ever. And if this wasn't fresh enough, we've added 10 brand spankin' new events! We'll have more details on that as we get closer to the Gathering itself. And, of course, as always, you know the live concerts are gonna be off the chain.
We definitely feel that this year is gonna be the funnest, biggest, and flat-out best Gathering yet. Don't miss out! We do have a capacity limit, and from the responses we've been getting, it's possible the Gathering may sell out of tickets this year. Don't ********' miss out on the event of the summer... Make sure to buy your tickets when they go on sale March 11!
