Ember wound her way through the pride. For some time now she had been feeling a kind of restlessness. Not the kind that would lead her away from the pride, or into the paws of some random male (the thought made her pull a face, she had more standards than to go out and find the first rogue that came along) no... her preoccupation was much more specific. It was the fact that while she loved sparring, she did not want to spend the rest of her days rough housing with the boys and reaving... as fun as it sounded, she wanted to do more.
She had visited the lawspeakers, but the work simply didn't appeal to her, she was too restless for such tasks and her mind far too mischievous. So that left her with one obvious choice... One she had already been leaning to for some time now. To become a Priestess.
With such on her mind she had made her way clear across the territory to seek out one of the current priestess' about the job. Of course she knew what they did during pridal celebrations and even other, more personal things. But she wanted to know the heart of the job, and what better than to pin down a priestess and ask.

Morath was not one to just sit around and find something to do. She was always busy; mostly to keep her mind straight. Otherwise, If she spent so much time around her 'so called' family; she'd go crazy. She hated her father; Taraxa... and hated her sister even more. She pretty much hated everyone but her brother Thuto; who was her thrall. He was a simple leopon and kept to himself and his sisters duties. Everyone knew to leave him alone.
Morath hadn't taken an apprentice after her own time with her Brunja. She had learned a lot from her; including things that Morath would never reveal to anyone who was not a priestess. She paused and shifted the rabbit fur bag at her shoulders, as to not lose any of the contents. She had been taught the ways of nature; who to use these things to her advantage.
She hadn't even realized where she was going until she turned and was almost face to face with Ember. She looked startled, but simply lowered her ears. "Pardon."

Ember flashed a friendly smile though did take a step back so they weren't nose-to-nose. "Morath." She greeted, pausing before her eyes lit up. "Just the lioness I was hoping to find." Glancing at the fur bag she added. "I was hoping to talk to a priestess. If you aren't pressingly busy, could I take a moment of your time?" She knew of the other female's reputation, living in the center of the pride as they both did she had run into the other female a time or two, but had usually stayed out of the priestess' way, since she always seemed busy. But since this was strictly priestess business, Ember felt she might be alright interesting what ever it was Morath was up to.

Morath eyed the lioness for a moment and had to think to recall her full name. She lifted her head in acknowledgment. The lioness she was looking for, really? Morath had always considered herself to be a loner... sort of on her own and not watching attention. She lifted her ears. "Me?" She asked, looking a bit confused at that statement; but shrugged and continued on. "Come with me then... I have to take these to my den; and we can talk in private."
She walked in silence for a moment; mulling it over in her mind... she looked over her shoulder after a few paces. "What are you interested in talking about?" She asked, her purple eyes observing the lioness for a moment.

Ember kept her expression friendly but polite. She knew just how touchy some of the stormborn where, having lived most of her life among them though she had been born outside the pride. Nodding at the offer she fell into step alongside the priestess, returning her look as she spoke again after a moment's silence.
"Well... I wish to apprentice as a priestess and I was hoping to find out a little more about what you do. Though I am mostly certain it is the right path for me.. I wish to make sure. I also hoped you may know someone who is looking for an apprentice." She figured there was no point treading softly, better to lay it out and warn the female just what it as she needed to discuss. After all, the priesthood was one of the most revered ranks in the pride, if only for the fact that many of the priestess' were really rather scary and the power their wielded in the pride ceremonies was nothing if not deadly serious to the reavers.

Morath felt a little... well... touched that this lioness was interested in being her apprentice. Did she not know her? The daughter of the useless whore Taraxa? She cleared her throat. "I have no apprentice. I have never been asked to have one." She said simply, though the tone in her voice that this was actually a very.. well... she certainly wasn't unhappy to be talking about this. She nodded her head and looked to her. "Are you in general looking for a priestess. I may not be the best option. I am sure you've heard about me... about how I work."
She turned back with shut eyes; thinking. "I would be honored to have you as an apprentice but perhaps there is someone else out there more suitable for the job. Perhaps my sister?' She said that last part with a snarky tone. "What makes you interested?" She looked back at Ember.

Ember kept her eyes and ears trained on the female beside her, trying to pick up any crap of information she could about how Morath felt about proposal and if she was favorable to taking on Ember herself. What she heard was encouraging, and more than a little interesting. Of course she knew this lioness' reputation, Ember made it her business to know a little about as many members as she could, though some of the less social were hard to pin down. But this one had a lot of rumors circulating and already Ember was getting the feeling that they were well off the mark... for a variety of reasons.
"Well, if you had been busy, I would have looked to another, but I really would prefer to learn from you personally." She studied the lioness' expression, knowing she was treading on untested ground but so far, all the signals had been encouraging.
When Morath agreed, Ember found herself beaming, bright yellow eyes pleased. "I would be most grateful to learn under you, Morath." Flicking an ear back she shook her head. "I came to you, not your sister." The statement clear and plain, those bright eyes settled on Morath boldly. The question made her pause and think for a moment. "I like training with the reavers just fine, but I don't feel that my future lies down that path. I want to serve the pride in a different way, a more personal way." She watched the priestess calmly, waiting for her response.
