It had felt a bit like a normal day after teaching an impromptu dance class for Lifewater. Teaching was one of Leo's favorite things, ranking right up there with dancing and reading (not to mention spending time with Rio!) He was too full of energy sit still even after the Dragon King departed and looked a bit like an impatient child waiting for a festival day. It was a sight Love would no doubt find amusing.
An idea occurred to him and he stopped suddenly, looking down at his remaining god companion. You know...I bet I could teach you something too. If you were interested that is. The D'Angeline smiled and offered a Rio a hand to help him up if the god decided he was interested.

Love did find the sight amusing, and was having trouble deciding whether he should continue to sit and watch, or suggest something for them to do, until Leo did so himself.
Intrigued, he took the offered hand and answered, I'm always interested.

It's a dance I learned when I was newly dedicated. Thirteen, maybe fourteen? Leo drew Rio close, arms remaining around his waist afterward. An older adept taught me...it usually isn't a dance taught until one is somewhat older than I was. It's meant for seduction material, really. He drew back a little, smile on his face, and kissed the corners of Love's lips. Pique your interest at all?

I can't imagine what makes you think I'd be interested in a dance like that. Rio tried to keep his tone level and his face straight, but he couldn't, especially not with Leo this close, and quickly gave up. He smiled and returned the kisses. You've got me. Show me?

He chuckled. Well... One arm unwound from Love's waist and moved to catch one of the god's hands. The other remained on his hip, thumb tracing lazy circles on Rio's bare skin. The flirtation was part of the dance's appeal, though everyone seemed to go about that part a different way. Free hand on my shoulder, please.

It was appeal that Rio was quickly seeing, although no part of the current situation was not appealing. He did happen to be a tiny bit ticklish, though, and had to suppress a slight twitch as he did as Leo said and put his hand on his shoulder. Ticklish gods were not dignified, and besides that, he was trying to learn something here!

It is fairly simple. Leo left off on Rio's hip for now, tilting his head to whisper the steps into the god's ear. His voice was soft with a hint of huskiness to it. The dance was a bit of a game really, when played with a patron, to see whether they or the adept would give in first. Left foot back... The dance might seem a bit like a tango to Rio, but more relaxed and playful.
A few steps later he turned them both around, the hand on Rio's waist sliding up his side before coming down again. Good. He planted a kiss right below his ear and squeezed the hand he held gently as he drew back. Clearly there was mischief in those eyes and that smile. You can flirt and play too, that is half the fun of this. That bit again, without me telling you the steps?

Fortunately - and appropriately, really - Rio was a quick learner of things like dances and songs. He remembered the steps Leo showed him with no trouble, and repeated them flawlessly...right down to the touches and kiss, which were done playfully. He had asked him to repeat, so he did!
Like that? he said, softly teasing.

Leo flushed faintly and nodded. Yes. At least he managed not to stammer. He had not expected the kiss...but ah well. And for the next little bit...
A few more steps then a dip. He smiled down at Love before pulling him back up.

Following instead of leading was definitely a change for the god, when it came to dancing, but he certainly didn't mind. The change in perspective was amusing. He grinned as he was pulled back upright. My wings aren't going to get in the way at some point, are they?
If there was any spinning involved, it could be problematic.

As it happens there was a spin or two involved. They would but... He shrugged. no matter. We can skip over that. Improvisation was part of the game too, after all. He pulled Rio close and kissed him.

Rio was pleasantly surprised by the kiss, which he was all too happy to return. He slipped the hand that was supposed to be on Leo's shoulder behind his head, lacing his fingers through his hair.
When it was finished, he purred, Skipping a lot of steps, are we?
