The need to hunt was silent, the urge to maim something calm..his desire for others life and to relish in their blood and pain seemed to be quenched for the time being. It was an odd day when Disillusion wasn't on the hunt or prowl for something, or someone...With a stretch of his wings, the Kalona stallion wandered silently on this moonless night.
Winter's cold grip over the land was slowly thawing out, and life was slowly beginning to stir from its long cold slumber. Pale blue, almost white orbs rolled with with a shake of his head, what a waste of life, he thought, to sleep away a season simply because it was harsh and unforgiving.
A screech through the nights air made him pause, and his ears to perk as he looked up to watch a mimicking looking bat fly over head, Discord. His only companion that hadnt ever left him, besides his sister...if she were still alive Discord was the only one he could call..friend.
Shaking out his coat now, the Kalona stood still and silent, merely listening to the sound of Discords wings gliding her through the air as she hunted and to the stir of night life around them.

The evening was a little cooler then most, at least to the tangerine mare this is how it seemed. Her two toned eyes scanning the thick forest around her for any movement. All that could be heard in the little area of forest however, was the quiet howling of the northern winds.
Her body relaxed a but, breath vapors flooding the vision around her. The mare, tossing and shaking her mono chromed mane around, then began to rummage through the snow. All in the hopes of finding some hibernating sweet grass that wasn't to burnt from the cold.
Moments passed, which in reality would of been around half an hours time, before the terrible screeching noise filled the air. Jumping out of a startled nature, the young horned mare surged forward a bit. Snorting as she did. Turning towards the noise a thought filled her mind;
What could that of been? In the dead of the eve... I've been alone all this time. Ohh what could it be?
Strange thoughts to say out loud, the mares mind a rhyming puzzle. Though it was not to long before the noise subsided and her muscles relaxed again. Bowing her elegant neck, the mare again pawed through the snow. In search of her sweet delight.

Even though he wasn't on the hunt or prowl, Disillusion was still 100% a predator and his senses were always keen and taunt. The sound of movement caught his attention instantly, his nose lifted as he scented the air much like that of a canine, tendrils if white wafted from his nostrils.
The scent was definitely of a larger creature, he would lay down that it was another soquili. His ears swiveled as he listened to the movement, a mare by the sound of it, his tail swayed behind him as he hid a snarl. Mares hadn't brought him anything but more chaos and pain, they were starting to rival the disgust he held for his father..
But the odd desire for company had him following her scent. Stepping through the shadows cast by the trees, he paused, his head lifted and arched slightly as his gaze lingered on her, the color of her coat made him think of the harvest moon, which was generally his favorite night to hunt and cause terror.
His tail twitched behind him.

Hearing the slightest foot steps upon the fallen snow and dead plant matter beneath it, the young mare again jolted a bit. Turning to face the noise, she peered into the darkness of the trees. Due to the time of day, the lighting was just right for her not to be able to clearly see what lay beyond the shadows.
It was then her fight reflex kicked in, but only for a moment. Snorting in the stallions direction, she tried to sent what was there. The wind however, was not in her favor. Only a moment had passed when she committed this action that the flight end of her nature kicked in. Tossing her lion like tail she turned the opposite direction and began to gracefully take off in the opposite direction.
Starting off in a trot, she quickly went into a nice paced canter. Feeling eyes on her as she tried to keep away from the direction of the noise. Curious she might of been as to what creature was in the dark. She stopped again. Not 20 feet from where she last was, and looked back. Her yellow eye glowing as it aways has peering down the path she left. Black smoke billowed off of her singular horn, her body turned side ways so she could look on.
" Who's that in the dark?" Her voice rang out leaving visible vapors in the air.

His brows knitted together as he watched her, what a strange mare he thought with a snort.
As she moved away from him, in what he took as a moment of fleeing, he decided to stalk after her, only keeping to the edge of the shadows until she stopped and turned back, he was close enough now that her scent flooded his senses, thankfully for her, it didnt awaken any of his more..primal and dangerous urges.
Upon the sound of her voice, his head veered to the side before he stepped out of the shadows and made himself visible to her.
"The shadows, they are who dwell in the dark." He replied.

As the stallion moved from the thicket into her view, her eyes fallowed him. This was the first time she had seem a kalona first hand. Being warned of them her body tensed, her mind keeping track of how close he got to her making sure to keep the same amount of distance away from him. Just in case the need to flee or fight was apparent.
For now he didn't seem as a threat so she decided this would be a good opportunity to converse with one of his kind. Of coarse to learn more, and figure out why they where so dangerous.
" You are a shadow than? I have been warned about your kind... Kalona, am I correct?" Her voice rang out to him.
She shifted her body, trying not to make it noticeable that she was Leary about him. The worst possible thing you could show a predatory animal is any kind of unease or fear. Snorting again, she tried to sent him, but the wind still was not in her favor for that.

He was amused by her, by the way she continued to keep a safe distance from him.
"Oh, and what warnings have you been given?" A snarl was choked back, he hated how he was always compared to others. Each Kalona was different, and he was no different. He stalked closer, his breath hitting the air in hot white bursts.
"You know, if I had wanted to hurt you..I could have already." He eyed her openly now, as he stalked around her. She seemed to be in fine form, there were muscles under her coat, layering one another but he wasnt sure she had ever been in combat with someone else before and that is where things could get paniced and sloppy.
"And this Kalona goes by Disillusion."

The younge Uni mare did not care too much for him coming closer to her, so as he came closer she stepped away a little more. Her ears, pointing forward, listening for his movements as she continued to watch him.
" Your breed tends to be a little more violent then usual. That some of your kind are not right in the head... And will attack, unprovoked. You are of the Damned."
Honestly, and openly she talked to him. Though she could notice that he was sizing her up. He was indeed larger then her and more toned. And she already knew by now that the best bet would be to flee as fast as she could. Should it come down to him attacking her. So with this she kept her distance a little more.
" Your curiosity keeps you from doing so? You don't look hungry so... I don't feel that if you where to engage me, it wouldn't be to satisfy your appetite."
Nostrils now flaring as the mare felt a little more threatened then before at the statement he made. Her muscles tensed and she watched him a little more intently now. She had not had much social interaction in her life. Preferring to keep to herself. So this little encounter was making her very unease. As he introduced himself, however, she un-tensed a bit. She did not think a blood thirsty beast would introduce it's self to it's prey. That is if it had any intentions of harming said prey.
A little more softly and fluently then before, She replied. " I am Wicca"

The kalona watched her, the more she inched backwards the more strides he took to close the space between them as she watched him, watching her.
"Violent tendencies are well known among any breed, though at least we aren't as brainless as skinwalkers and to us there is some sanity to our violent ways." His tail flicked behind him as his leathery wings shifted at his side.
"And being damned is something earned. I am damned because of the choice I've taken, not because of the breed I was born." He snapped out. He wouldnt mention that his father had made sure his perfect son started out damned before he was an adult.
"I am not hungry, so on that front you are safe." He agreed with a nod before he started to move to the side of her. " As safe as you can be with one of the damned of course." He grinned now. "Though, provoke my temper and all bets are off...Wicca."

Eventually the mare stopped moving away but still kept her guard up. Her bi-colored eyed watched him as her ears tweaked while he spoke.
" I have heard of these... skinwalkers as well. And I have thankfully never had the displeasure of meeting one. From how you make it sound, even if I had, I would not be conversing with you."
Her eyes trailed to his wings as he was readjusting and for a breif moment, her mind wandered. How weird would it feel to have wings. Not that he would notice as he was born with them. It was just a very curious thing to think, out of all the thoughts she could of been having.
" I don't think being damned would be something to take pride in. But as I said, your breed is different from my own... "
Wicca had been shunned from other unicorns because her horn was black and emitted a weird black magic. She herself had not a mean bone in her body, but just based on the fact that one eye glowed and her horn bellowed black mist. The others thought it was an omen in her herd. With that being the case of her past, she did not once think on it about the present situation and how she was acting towards someone who looked different then the norm.
A small smile caressed her face as she looked up at the kalona stallion. after his last few comments it seemed that for now he could be trusted. Her body relaxed more as she flickered her lion like tail against his spaded one. With a smile she bantered,
" Ohh and what could I do to irritate you to the point of wanting to maim me. Even if I had wanted to, I can tell you are larger then me and more then likely perfectly capable of ripping my throat out... Had you chosen too."

At her tail brushed against his own, his body shivered and shuddered from the contact. He wasnt used to the contact of others overly much, specially since he'd decided to avoid mares for the most part, they only seemed to cause him trouble and he was quiet finished with them.
"No, you would not be. They are truly mindless beast with little care of their effect on the world." He said with cool dislike for the other beast, he held back a snarl.
"Why not be proud of what you are regardless of what others think of you. If you have no pride in yourself, then what do you have?" He asked with a cool shrug of his shoulders as he shook out his mane.
"I could, but what would be the point of it? And why would you test the limits of a creature you know would be your end? That would be a waste, and while I am a damned creature, every life I take has a reason and its not senseless."

"Something more than I am? Why be more? What would give me reason to strive for more when I am already content with who I am..I find no shame in my damnation." He spoke with an even tone, Disillusion saw no ill fit with his fate or dubbance.
He was a damned creature, fallen from the graces of good. He was exactly what he had been born to be, a cruel and violent creature with his own set of twisted morals. "What of you? Would you change the winds of fate to grow and change?"

(( if you cant read the text xd )) "In all honesty I would if I could.. Unfortunately I cannot. There's so much I would change, How it would effect who I am or what I am is unknown. Even with the knowledge that I would be different I would still risk it to be where I want to be."
