I serve no one...Kara "So, whaddaya want me to do for you, Master?" I asked, studying my new home. It was quite bigger and more decent than the homes of my recent masters. I think I'll like it here... I giggled, thinking about whether or not I should just kill this new master of mine, or stay and 'enjoy' myself.  ...now gimme a cookie.

━━━━━━━━━━━━ Higure━━━━━━━━━━━━ ┏━━━━━━━━━┓ Higure slipped his gloves off and placed them in a small end-table drawer. He turned back to her looking her up and down. "All right then. Fallow me and I will explain it all to you." He said staring to walk down a long hallway. he stopped at the first door that was double wide. "In here is the kitchen. You will cook me a supper of some kind of raw, hot meat and a desert of something sweet. I mostly drink blood for sustenance, so don't be surprised if I ask for a little from you. I don't take no for an answer. Understand?" He asked looking at Kara form the corner of his eye. ┗━━━━━━━━━┛

"Here you will hel--" He stopped short when he saw his first ever slave, Noien. She was folding one of her dresses when she looked up at them and smiled. ┗━━━━━━━━━┛

I stared at the other slave with curiosity. I bowed in front of her and smiled. "Nice to meet you, my name is Kara." I said.

Noien set her clothes aside and said, "Hello Higure, Kara. I was just doing some work." She walked over to them "You got a call from his father about the meeting tomorrow for the marriage. Higure sighed running his fingers through his hair. He was about to say something when Noien spoke. "And don't worry, I'll handle Kara." she said smiling at the girl. Higure mumbled something and headed to his office leaving the two alone.

Noien nodded going back to her clothing and placed them in a basket. "You will mostly be helping me keep things clean around here and doing laundry. But Higure wont let me cook, so that was the reason for going out and buying you." she said picking up the basket full of both her and Higure's cloths.

"Well, I can cook." I said simply. "But, why aren't you allowed to cook for him?" I asked. My eyes scanned the room, they fell on the basket of clean clothes. I eyed them for a while and then I studied my own clothes. Filthy.

"It's kind of a long story, but really I split some hot oils on my leg and he wont let me do it anymore." Noien said pulling up her dress to show Kara her burnt skin up her leg.

Noien was taken aback by the memory of past slaves. particularly one she had fallen for. She sighed and shrugged. "He'll tell you how evil and violent he his and how he killed many of his slaves and would have no trouble killing you, but really ... He is just a guy trying to act tough to please his father. I have been Higure's slave since I have been born, so he treats me as if I was his daughter."

I scratched my head in confusion. So is he a nice master or a mean one? I asked myself. Whatever. As long he doesn't treat me like all my past masters did, he'll be just fine. I clutched my bow and quiver tightly. "Well, that's good to hear... What are my other duties, Noien?" I asked politely.

"Oh, right!" Noien said remembering why they were speaking to each other. "So far you know about cooking and helping me with laundry. Um ... you also have to make sure the up stairs is clean, like dusting and vacuuming and such. If I'm busy with my things, you might have to tidy up Higure's room. He can be so messy sometimes." Noien racked her memory of what other duties there were. "Oh, there is a big garden out back. I usually do the gardening, but I would like some company if you're not too busy." She said with a smile.
