1.It had been days that he had almost forgotten what it felt like NOT being around this family. He had almost adopted it as his own, sure he missed his brother. When they parted ways, his heart yearned for something to hold on to. Something that was his, and that he could teach on to future generations, like the sibling rivalry he had with his brother. The heavans gave him more than that, two sets of twins. He couldn't even ask for more- even if they weren't his...
This was his life. Out of respect he slept outside their den... watching in the night and sleeping half the morning and playing with them the other half but they were getting bigger now... soon they would be on their own. Even HE didn't want that.. They grew up so fast! But for him, he ... adopted them inwardly- but still he was just a friend of the family.. He yearned for more but he wouldn't impose that. Not on Ming no matter how much he adored her, he wouldn't tell her what he really felt..
2. Ming became more accepting as time when on she did not nearly have as much hate for Koran as she did when he first arrived and the twins have certainly taken a liking to him, especially Shun. The morning sun has yet to fully rise over the vast emptiness of the land that surrounded them. A bush and tree every now and then but nothing but dirt.; at least to an outsider, after being here for so long Ming knew where to find what she needed and Koran hunted for them so it was nice to have help; even though Ming wouldnt admit it.
"Koran." She called soft as she rose from the den, speaking softly as to not wake her babies. "Koran are you awake?"
3. A yawn escaped him, it was too early to wake him. But even with the subtle hint of her voice, he lifted his ear. A few twitches before he lifted his head. Another yawn before looking towards her. His eyes droopy from the long night's pro tolling and hunting for the morning's breakfast. A bird and a bunny. Yep, hunting last night sucked and he was almost ashamed of what he brought. The food was right under a rock where they usually hid the food. The sound of his swishing tail went with his words. "Yea, over here." As if she didn't know that the huge lump was him in the first place. He almost sounded disappointed and lowered his head again.
4. "I hope i didnt wake you, i wanted to talk before the cubs woke." She was still hesitant about this whole thing. She knew she was in the wrong ever since he came but she didnt want to admit it. But it was the right thing to do. She traced her paw in the dirt, she didnt like admitting she was wrong, but she wanted to know she was appiciate of what Koran has done for her.
5. He leaned on his side almost completely finally as if he fell over and turned his body, the back down as he laid lazily. "Did you- yea, it was a bad night. Sorry.. will look for some more in a few.." Yawning again before finally lifting himself up, fully exhausted from the failed attempts. When he met her eyes, his head was low. Slowly lifting his head and straightening his back, cracks could be heard after a few and shook himself off. "Good morning." Wrinkling his nose and getting in to his wake but finally he sat with a thud. "Wait.. Why are you up so early?" Tilting his head...
6."What are you talking about?" She said. "and morning." She said waiting for him to fully awaken, well to a point when she can talk to him. "What was a bad night?" She asked wondering what he was taling about.
"I couldnt sleep." She hasnt had a good nights sleep since Koran arrived. She feels like he will leave like Bali did, but somewhere she knew Koran wasnt like Bali; at least she hoped he wasnt.
7. "The game from last night?" Then he blankly starred at her for a moment.. Realizing she probably didn't even look and this was probably about something else. This felt almost slightly awkward.. lowering himself then softly laughing. "Oh.. thought we were talking about breakfast.. Sorry. What is it did you want to talk about it. Shaking his body out a little more, stretching, the whole nine yards before coming back to her. Getting serious again.. "How come? Are the boys kicking around again? I heard from Shun they do that quite often now." Grooming his crazy fur down at least to be presentable.
8. "No, no its not them, and breakfast is fine, i just cant sleep i guess." She sighed this was harder then she thought. "I just wanted to say...." She paused unsure of how to continue should she tell him she was sorry or perhaps just make something up.
"I just thought you should know... im...sorry." She said almost troublesomely. "And thanks for what you've done...." She said letting her head hang low.
9. He went to slowly sit on his hunches when she started to speak. Particularly for being polite with some manners to him, and bowing his head. "Fine, a few rabbits." He stopped himself from going any further to set off his not so jolly mood about last night's hunt.. But when the apology came, he didn't quite know how to react. It wasn't like her now, to just outright apologize. His ears pinned back and he gave her a look but when she hung her head low… Instinct came over as he found himself already leaning in to her cheek and rubbing his own against hers. "It is my duty Ming, and pleasure.. You know don't have any reason to be sorry. You do whatever you need to for yourself and them… I understood that the moment I saw them and you…" Putting his muzzle under her chin and lifting it softly. "Always keep your head up.." Meeting his eyes with hers when he lifted his head too. He was serious again but caring all at once.
10. Ming was caught off guard, she wanted to smack him but she wanted to hold him also. She hasnt been tought by another male in such a manner since him.... She truely missd him, she missed her life as a cub; she was so carefree then. "Thank you for hunting.... although you dont have too." She said trying to remain stoic as he showed some affection. She didnt push him away. "Tonight if you want you may begin to sleep in the den." She looked at Koran as she did when she was a cub, when she was in love with him; her eyes showing how she felt about him. "My family has taken a liking to you, and the twin and shun enjoying having you around... I kinda lke having you around..." She said hesitantly.
11. He rubbed his cheek against hers, even if she didn't reply to his affections. He merely gave her his, and looked in her eyes. He wasn't ever completely sure why he stayed here. It was the cubs, he had convinced himself. She was his best friend as a cub, the only one who could win him in a race. "I have to. If I wanna stay here. It wouldn't be right if I just sit and do nothing." He chuckled lightly and shook his head, still serious except for his smirk. But he was pleased to hear that all his work wasn't completely over looked.
"Tonight? Isn't that a little sudden.. we should catch dinner before that~" He tried to joke to get her tension to lower.. How she was now, he couldn't quite tell if she was going to attack him or not but all in all he would accept what came to him, especially if it was from her. "Your cubs, I have to admit.. Have grown on me." Seeing the eyes, those eyes that he had known when they were younger. That innocence, who betrayed thoughts eyes. "I am glad that I can be of use to you.. I.. Missed you."
12. Ming didnt know how to react maybe he was right even if he was joking, she felt like her stomach was doing back flips. Maybe she was just nervous; she hadnt exactly felt this way about anyne, not even Bali, something made her heart skip a beat like it did when she was cub and he was around.
"Ha ya~~ they are quite special." She smiled looking back at the dens mouth. She just hoped she was rasing them right, rasing them like a good mother.
Her ears caught something he said... She looked down and gave a slight smile "I....i missed you too..." She said her cheeks becoming warm.
13. He turned his head to one side as she spoke.. Sniffing the air every now and again then looking at her with a nod and a chuckle to her words. She agreed, and that smile was worth making him look a fool for. Fool for.. "Quite special, two are just as adventurous as we were…Mmm they grow up so fast, we.. I don't even I have completely grown up.. I can still catch up to their games. What do you think?" A preening smile came from him.
"So?" He lifted his body and slowly nudged her to move on ahead of him. "Let's go before the kids wake, it will be good to have a hunting partner as you. You have always been the fastest right? Or did you too grown up for such speeds?" A smirk crossed his maw.. as he looked to her with a wink.
14 . Ming smiled, "I can still win a race with you anyday." She smiled looking back at her cubs, she wouldnt be gone long. "Alright, lets hurry." She said getting up and running off, after all she had to remind him who was the fastest one."Hurry up!" She hollered after him. She was finally govong him a chance and she was actually happy.
15. He stalled for a moment to let himself process almost defeat before pushing at the ground with all his might. "Pfft~ We'll see about that! Are you sure your not too much a grandma now~" He laughed, a wave in his mis steps before rushing out after her. Yes, she still had it, and he watched with admiration.. with care. The sweet and innocence that he had for her.. He was finally seeing the old ming, the one whom was always happy… "HEY! CHEETUR!" Giving himself another turn before leaping upon a rock to try and catch up to her. That laugh he found himself overjoyed, warm.. and all sorts of feelings he hadn't completely felt before. Hadn't completely understood.. Not after a few moments of catching up with her, he tripped, tipping over and pushing right in to her causing them both to fall.. Like everything was slow moving.. He was still laughing.. As if they fell in sync..
