Having travelled out a little further than intended, Buu found herself at the very edge of the swamp and in fact it could really be called the transitional ground between swamp and forest. The ground here was still soggy and wet, but the trees had begun to become taller and sturdier in a way. That is... they tended to have only one trunk, and their root systems didn't flay upwards in a spider-style of weaving, but instead took to the underground with only the occasional trip-wire.
There she was, walking along slowly with a device of sorts to help her along. This device could be thought strange, but it was really simple, really! She had managed to tie two big branches together that had many smaller branches coming off of them and weaved those smaller ones together to make a net of sorts, or perhaps more of a pull-along bed. At the very front of that she tied a big loop of braided vine which currently pressed into her chest as she walked along, pulling the sled behind her.
When she came to a stop, the vine fell and she could gently step over it to exit the contraption's grasp and root around to find some more branches to put on top of the several she had already found. Her pile was growing slowly, but it seemed like she would have to do this a few more times before she had enough to work with.
Shaking her mane out her giant leaf twisted and fell back in front of her chest to where it normally sat. It had been shoved up onto her back while she tugged so that it wouldn't get worn and destroyed by the vine.

Bedford had taken it upon himself to look around the swamp area that Acacia's sister had been last seen near. Arden had...messed things up quite a bit with his little advice to Acacia. Bedford was here to try to help her, to make her see that Arden had never meant any harm--he just wasn't the best at social doings.
It was then he discovered a leaved creature, who reminded him in a way of Arden. She was gathering, something Arden was always doing to the detriment of any social relations. Arden believed that society was corrupting, but he really just needed to get out more...he was rather socially stunted.
"Hello," he said as he saw the mare. "What are you gathering today?"

There wasn't much rustling for Buu to hear the stranger approach, so it caught her a little off-guard when she was suddenly being spoken to. Whipping herself around on the spot, the mare instinctively took a defensive stance though not an offensive one. One could never be too careful in first meetings. Past experiences had always taught her to be defensive first and then let her guard down later if she felt safe.
The voice had been pleasant, though, and when she turned around and cast her gaze on the stranger, she almost immediately let up most of her guard. A cerynei stood before her, a grand rack upon his head with many little twinkling trinkets. His voice, and now looking at him eased her enough that she relaxed her muscles, but stayed where she stood. Lifting her head up and offering a smile, Buu extended her response kindly but a little cautiously still. After all, appearances could be deceiving at times, but her instincts told her this was a good soul and that her guard could be dropped entirely soon.
"Hello!" The 'h' sounded heavy almost like it was said twice to make up the length of which it was spoken. Tilting her head to one side a little, her mane fell away from her face so that her bright blue eyes could get a better look at him. "Brhanches, mostly. Need dem for a...hummm... How you say...." She furrowed her brow a little, obviously struggling a little with the language before she came up with a questioning, "...teeh-peeh?"

Bedford paused quickly, "I won't hurt you. Sorry, I didn't mean to intrude..." He took a slow step backwards. "Oh a teepee?" He smiled faintly. "It's been such a long time since I made one...and it rather fell apart, I'm not very good at them. I hope you're better than I am or it'd be better to just sleep outside."
He paused again, "Do you need some help there?

She nodded in thanks, or in greeting perhaps, his apology accepted and the 'intrusion' already forgotten. Her instincts had been right, and after just a slight moment of hesitation she did indeed let the rest of her guard fall from existence. This cerynei, though broad and muscular as any masculine creature of Mother Nature's, did not bear any aura of darkness, evil or malice. He was what he appeared to be, if her gut and judgement should be trusted : kind and caring.
A giggle escaped her, low in a way, but somehow it still managed to tinkle... something like calm water cascading over a low waterfall. Perhaps it had something to do with her Kirin genes, but she often gave a feeling of calm to the area. Something that often came in useful when she healed or otherwise helped others.
"Sohmething like that," Another small nod, but as to sleeping outside, well there was definitely something to be said for the night sky, for sure... "Stars... verhy pretty, but this..." tilting her head at the branches, both indicating them and in the same motion stepping closer to accept his offer of help, "Bigger... weaved together. Strong, like you."

Bedford smiled at her. She was certainly alot friendlier than Arden who was the other soquili who seemed so natural as her. "I'm Bedford. I've always wanted to learn to make a better teepee. I'd not be able to make one if my life depended on it. One good wind always knocked mine down...and sometimes just a breeze." He looked up at the skies and blinked at the beautiful heavens. "There is something magical about being beneath them, though not desierd all the time."

His smile was returned by one of her own, though a rather crooked one as she wasn't really focusing on it. The language was the hardest part to grasp, well that wasn't true. The language wasn't hard... it was getting others to understand her through the heaviness and strange accent. It seemed like most soquili shared the same dialect and therefore did not sound like they had an accent. Perhaps she didn't always have one, but she couldn't remember her childhood. In truth, she didn't even truly know where she came from. But what she did know was that there hadn't been any others like her where she spent most of her career-life as a warrior. There she had been an extraordinary horse, but still a horse. Perhaps this was where she was truly from, but memories to prove such were buried deep if they weren't gone for good.
"Buu. My name is Buu," Searching for that word she had heard out here to refer to it, she explained the foregin name, "It means shahmahn," Taking a moment to look over the stallion Buu straightened out her smile and took in more of his details as she casually threw an invitation out to him. "Maybe I teach you." It was playful in a way, almost enticing a knicker but finally just accompanying a wink from the uni-kirin.

Bedford listened to her, intrigued by her unusual accent. In all of his wanderings, he'd met few soquilli who actually had noticeable accents. Most sounded like they could have come from the same place--but not this mare. He wanted to ask about it, but it would be more than rude to do so.
"You would?" He smiled happily, "Thank you--that would really help me. I'm such a failure at them." He smiled at her winking, she was really nice even if she was hard to understand at times. "What has brought you here?" He couldn't help the question from slipping out.
