[ x ]Resting on a mound of boulders were two Ikals, watching their surroundings with a heightened view of the plain around them. The brown dried grass swayed in the wind, and everything was peaceful. Light grey clouds loomed overhead with sunlight piercing through occasionally. It was becoming warmer, spring just around the corner.
[ x ]While their surroundings was at piece, Seotun was not. He did not know what to do with her. His companion was at times dull and useless, but then at other times, she would be able to spark an intelligent conversation with him. Of course, he knew that she was human once, a high ranking one at that. He knew that what she was going through was difficult and most likely traumatizing; he hadn't asked her about her past yet. It was not his place.
[ x ]He looked over to her from his resting spot on a higher rock as she looked towards the forest line with a blank look on her face. Seotun could never tell what she was thinking when she looked like that. She was reserved, cut off from reality. It was unnerving, almost like how the Alchemist would keep secrets and give none away.
[ x ]Not part of the pack, Princess Darielle was not too welcome on the Xa'Los lands like Seotun was. So he took her and left the lands of the pack, unsure of what to do with her. She obviously could not take care of herself, unable to hunt or function as an Ikal. Yet he knew that he could not stay away from his pack for too long.
[ x ]Suddenly, a scent appeared in the wind. Another Ikal was coming from upwind. "Get up." Seotun said briskly, not wanting to waste time. She could not defend herself, expecting her to help defend would be asking too much. Seotun was also too old to protect both of them; they needed to hide, the chance of them escaping was little with the wide open plain that surrounded them. "Hide underneath the rocks."
[ x ]When she heard his voice Princess Darielle jumped in surprise. However it did not take her long to go and hide in the closest hidden space. She trusted him, and he was the only way that she would be able to survive in the wilderness. "Stay there. I'll try to lure them away if they're dangerous. Do what I told you and run away to the pack lands when it's safe if I'm not back by sunset." She nodded in response and watched as Seotun stood his ground and looked towards the scent of a most likely approaching Ikal.

Not far from the two Ikal, almost to the edge of the tree line, was another Ikal enjoying a peaceful day strolling through through the brush. So far their had been no annoyances, conflicts or burdens like most other days. The day was nice, a soft breeze weaving through her fur and the flames at her feet at tail fluttering against the grass, yet causing no burns. The warmer seasons were coming and were doing a nice job of soothing her stiff, old winter bones.
Munin paused in her stroll as she caught sight of the tree line, along with faint scent of others like herself. She was not worried about others, if they were looking for a fight her appearance alone sometimes was enough to deter them. That usually only worked with the young ones. Munin, however, was in no mood to fight. Her joints were slightly stiff and the day had lulled her into a peaceful haze.
Pushing on, Munin continued her way to the tree line and shrugged her way through the bushes. Ahead of her was a plain. The sun that peaked through the clouds gave her a nice warmed and caused a pleasant shiver. The boney wings on her back stretched and twitched as she stretched her legs out. Her eyes scanned the plain quickly and caught sight of a group of boulders with a lone Ikal staring in her general direction. She could tell the Ikal was not a young one, an immediate plus. Munin was not fond of most young Ikal. Giving a quick shake to her fur she began walking in the Ikal's direction, her body language relaxed and void of any aggression. She wanted this day to continue being good.
