Most trainees by now would have gotten used to the often odd and inconsistent hours that consisted of cell phone texts. Unfortunately, as practically every higher-ranked Hunter used them, which was practically everyone else on the Island, a knee-jerk reaction to read texts as soon as possible was something of an acquired and invaluable asset to every aspiring trainee. The Death Hunter lead's arrival back on the Island would come as a surprise for all the trainees. Though now that many thought back on it, there had been signs: a quiet void in Hunters for the past day, and a notable change in the atmosphere, though that easily could have simply been Julie blowing up another part of Deus Ex Machina.
However, some things just remained consistent throughout. The cell phone texts. The fact that it was currently 9:50am and Caelius had given them a generous ten minutes to find the room. The fact that he was sitting there at his seat on the large round table that covered most of the room perusing several folders of mission reports as if the last time most trainees had seem him had not been when he had pretty much called them all disposable and useless and then disappeared into God Knows Where. The cellphone next to him was pretty much buzzing non-stop, though the Death Hunter simply ignored it.
There was also one other occupant in the room, a few seats next to Caelius. It was an unfamiliar person, a Hunter who was not wearing anything remotely like the Hunter whites at all and simply garbed in what might have been casual wear. And by casual wear, a t-shirt topped with a causal bandanna wrapped around his head and a pair of worn-out khakis. It could also be noted that said person was sleeping, one hand propped against his chin in an upright seated position: quite a rather remarkable feat actually.
Considering that the Death Hunter had practically piled an entire fortress of paperwork and text between him and the other occupant in the room, it was safe to say they were probably not on good terms, which really should not have been a surprise for anyone.
The room was mostly quiet as trainees began to file in.
OOC - This is an ORP for all Hunters, mostly go to over events that will be happening pre-meta - It is assumed that even if you do not post, your Hunter attended this ORP and received the IC information. Feel free to drop in and make a reaction post, as as it is a gm rp, you will get bonus rp points for simply posting (easy rp points) - This ICly happens AFTER Aria's mission (so everyone can participate)

His phone was buzzing, and Gale Gentry did not want to move from where he lay sprawled across his bed, having, once upon a time, been asleep. The incessant, shrill ringing, however, combined with Jinhai's constant squalling and the fact that he could not just let a text go unanswered made him roll over in irritation, grappling for the phone.
The message on the screen was bright and familiar. Gale stared for a moment at the name across the top.
<< Look who's back in town. >>
"Great," muttered Gale, and gave a sigh. He slipped out of bed, smoothed his slightly wrinkled vest, grabbed his coat, and made his way out of his room and down the hall, sticking his arms into the sleeves as he went. Trust Caelius to give them all of ten minutes to make it to the room, so Gale was half sprinting as he crossed the Deus Ex grounds.
When he arrived at Room 201A, he found, of course, their illustrious (or not) leader sitting at the head of the round table (or what might have been assumed to be the head of the table), clearly ignoring anything and everything and surrounded by what might have been every paper in Deus Ex Machina stacked around him.
And another person - an unexpected person, unfamiliar and seemingly asleep. Gale frowned a bit, tilting his head at the "intruder" - who looked nothing like a hunter, in a pair of tan pants and a black teeshirt. Idly Gale rubbed his hand against the back of his neck.
<< Well that's...new. Caelius' friend, perhaps? >>
He has friends?
<< ....okay it was a longshot. >>
Rolling his eyes (with his face turned away from the Death Hunter), Gale chose a seat a few chairs down and slipped quietly into it, leaning back and saying nothing as he waited for everyone else to arrive.

Message from Caelius
Message from Caelius
Message from Caelius
"Holy ********, he's not dead??" Cass immediately blurted out loud when she saw the message. She wasn't actually expecting him to die, as she suspected he was 10% cockroch, 70% good looks and another 80% unbridled rage (Yes, she was aware that this added up to 160%, but there was no way he was just simply 100% anything), but still she hadn't been aware that he was back.
As it stood, Caelius on call after being gone for a while might have been the only motivating factor in learning to teleport. In fact, this was the real reason why she ever had emergency gear and being out of the gym and dressed (and having deodorant thrown on, she imagined Caelius didn't want a stinky trainee in the room) in 2 minutes was a side effect of this.
Being able to suddenly make the long-a** dead run sprints to the asked of room was also a side effect of this 'learning to teleport' task.
You've gotten amazingly attentive, Cass.
<> she answered back in her head, taking a minute to pant and catch her breath outside of the room before she walked in, trying to not look like she'd killed herself to get there. She was going to teleport, dammit. She would learn the secret of getting into high places.
As she took a seat, she passed a glance over at the unusual person sleeping next to Caelius, her head tilting slightly to one side, then slightly to the other side, before looking back to the Death Division lead. She felt like there was something she needed to tell him..or something to expect to happen involving him, yet she couldn't place what it was at the moment, it was as though it had slipped her mind.........
Why did she feel it involved a certain ginger?

Rep at the very least always had his mobile phone with him wherever he went, the intranet twitter system was still a source of endless amusement for him and it was always nice to have it to hand. If this hadn't been the case, chances would have been he'd have slept through the text. But as it was, his phone was right next to his ear when the text arrived, jolting him awake.
He picked it up with a snarl of frustration, ready to send an abusive text back to anyone else interrupting his ******** needed rest of late. But the name he certainly didn't recognise at all. And the text itself was...curious. Who the ******** was Caelius and why were they calling them to a specific place? It probably wouldn't do to miss out on whatever the ******** it was.
So he got up, and got dressed, dousing himself in deoderant and cologne to /try/ and get rid of the stench of endangered creature off him, mostly to no avail, polar bear had a very ..distinctive smell it seemed. And then finding he had little to no time left, dashed off at a run down the corridor to find this room that was mentioned, as soon as he found it, edging round the door and into the room.
He raised a critical brow at the people already seated. There was one guy who looked pretty ******** irritated, but also got filed in Rep's mind under homo simply by virtue of his unique hair, and the other guy looked like a beach bum. He had to wonder which of them was this Caelius guy, if any of them. Hell, maybe he was the little short guy...though he was sure he'd seen the blonde dwarf at the yeti mission. He recognised Cass too though barely even gave her a passing glance, no woman would be handing out ******** morning people man." he complained casually as he sat down "What's wrong with afternoons?"

Deryk stared at his phone for a good while, as it said it was a message from Caelius. The guy was back! So he wasn't dead then. Though, he really did wish the Death division was given more of a heads up of what was going on with their lead. His arrival came to be just as much of a surprise as his disappearance.
In any case, after grabbing a cup of coffee, he ran on to the room, ready to tackle whatever was going to be thrown his way.
Once he was there, he paused as he saw someone with Cael.. that he didn't quite recognize. The guy was asleep.
...
Why hadn't Cael laid the smack down on him yet?

Jordan couldn't even really muster up much in the way of surprise that Caelius was back. That the guy would just summon them like he'd never been gone and all was back to normal was pretty much predictable, as was the you better run time frame he'd given for the meeting. There were things you got used to, really.
He found the classroom about a minute early and claimed a seat, glancing around to see who else was here. Someone he didn't recognize sat beside Caelius, walled off by a stack of papers, and apparently asleep. ... This ought to be interesting. Huh.

Bix, of course, was awake and dressed and halfway through his morning routine when the text came in. He came in shortly after Rep and did his best not to rouse Caelius's attention in any way. Since not many people had arrived he got a choice.. sit near Cass or sit near Gale.
The albino bobbed in place and even though they were only a few seats apart, he finger-gunned towards both of them. "Who wants me.. who wants me... OHHHH bros before hoes." Bix would definitely be earning a smack from Cass be referring to her as a hoe, but he made sure to bump her chair when he passed by to plop down next to Gale.
"Who's the other guy?" He leaned in to Gale and whispered so no one else would hear... or attempted to.

Sydney wasn't exactly sure who this Caelius was, but she had taken to the theory that everyone practically was higher up than she was, and it was best to be safe than sorry. That's why the mist trainee was slipping into the room, standing to the side as she looked at the round table. She studied the setting as well as she could, then slid into an empty chair, hoping it was the right place.
Her hand reached up, touching her choker, from which Izy was softly singing to himself in the back of her mind. He didn't seem very impressed with the situation at hand, but, well, that wasn't very surprising.

Dillon was halfway through his breakfast when the text arrived, though he being nothing more than one of the fresh, new trainees, had no clue who Caelius was. Or that he had been gone for some time. Or maybe he did, since there was that Tracy? Stacy? Guy who had been standing in for him. ... Not a big deal for him.
<< 9 minutes >> Sorry what? << Till 10am >>
The mist trainee nearly choked on his drink. RIGHT, he should really get going. Did he have to prepare or bring anything? He really hoped it wasn't going to be like the last time where he came completely unprepared for the North Pole. Well. There was nothing else said. He'd find out anyway when he got there.
Sliding into the room, Dillon elected to remain standing at the sides lest he was not supposed to be sitting at the table. Everyone else in the room probably outranked him anyway, especially that guy over there taking a nap. That was probably how boss he was.

Candace had spent valuable time sitting and just staring at the phone in shock, her eyes wide and her jaw dropped. "Holy s**t...it..it's.." Wait! s**t! Ten minutes oh s**t she only had ten minutes fuuuuuuuck! Candace scrambled out of bed, grabbing her hunter coat and scarf and throwing them off as she booked it to wherever this room was. Was it really Caelius? But hadn't be fallen into some like..hole? With a horseman? She slowed to a walk when she found the room, walking in after a few of the others and almost expecting it to not be Caelius and just be someone using his phone.
It was really Caelius! Holy s**t! Wait, who was that guy? Candace frowned and watched him as she took a seat at the table, almost not realizing he was asleep until she noticed his eyes were closed. Well then...who the ******** was this? Was he not a hunter? Maybe this was a dream. Caelius sending them quick texts with little time to react without being late, the large table, the folders, the quiet awkward atmosphere...but why would she dream up this guy? Sigh. This was real life.

A call to meeting that wasn't at 3am. Bonus.
Otto meandered down the halls, looking for the room mentioned. It didn't take as long as he thought it would. Damn. Part of him enjoyed being late. Oh well. He entered the room, pointedly ignoring everyone there and sitting down.
It was a surprise to see Caelius again. More so whoever this casually dressed bum was at the table. He didn't even have a hunter coat. What gives? Otto rolled his eyes, flipping his hood over his head to make ignoring everyone easier.

Clerise had been in the kitchen (or the burnt remnants of the poor thing) fishing around in the fridge for a second breakfast when the text had gone through. The name Caelius was familiar, and not really in a good way. She remembered that some people did nothing but complain about the guy, which was...interesting. She was at least dressed in something besides horrible sweats, today. Not her full uniform, but at least the coat. That was something Clerise had picked up on fast: BRING. THE COAT. "Don't be such a whiny baby, ginger ninja," Clerise chided, taking a seat on the opposite side Gale. "Sup, tinyguy?" She couldn't resist the urge to ruffle his hair a little, because she was obnoxious like that. Maybe she'd see why this guy was so scary.

Eva frowned as she stared at the screen of her cellphone, cocking her head to the side as she read the text. Strange...could this be from Caelius? Now that she thought about it, she hadn't seen him around lately (but she never really purposely sought him out either, so). However, it was a very typical Caelius meeting if they only had ten minutes to get to the classroom.
Sighing, she let Chara revert back to her unsummoned form before sprinting for the main building from the training grounds. Through the doors, down the hallways, and then--
--Oh, it really was Caelius! Caelius, some of the other trainees, and...a sleeping guy? Eva eyed the last one with raised brows, glancing between the Death Squad Leader and the unfamiliar man. She was surprised to note that the former wasn't paying any attention to the fact that there was someone sleeping in his presence, but she shrugged it off, lifting a hand to wave at the others. She paused as she walked past Otto, backtracked a couple of steps, and tugged off his hood. "Tsk, Puppy! You should be socializing, not hiding behind your hood!"
And speaking of socializing...there were a couple people in here whose names she didn't know, she realized. Though she had already acquainted herself with some of the "lambs", it was clear that she didn't know all of them yet. She would have to amend this at some point.

<Faster, faster! I swear, Sasha, there are times that you simply astound me.>
We have plenty of time, Nona, good grief.
<Good grief? Good grief? Sasha, my sweet little dove, my gentle and ever-so-timid little bird! If we get to our destination and there are no seats near any of the handsome men and beautiful women of this establishment, I am going to make things very terrible for you! You do not want to upset your Nona, do you?>
Oh my God, Nona, why is everything about ... that?! Oh God, her cheeks were already turning red!
<I do not ask for much.> Nona sniffed. <It has been so long since Nona has brushed against a perfectly chiseled chest, so long! After embarrassing me so during our last mission, perhaps Nona deserves this little thing, hmm?>
By the time Sasha actually reached the meeting room, her cheeks were flushed and the pulse at the base of her throat was working double-time.
While she knew of Caelius she did not know him personally. Perhaps some of the questions she had about the Death division leader would be answered here? As she slipped into a random chair - sorry, Nona - she locked her eyes on the hands she folded gracefully in front of her, wincing every so often as if the sound of incessant shrieking tainted her ears.

Who did that!?
Otto blinked back bewilderment and turned to glare daggers at Eva. "Buzz off." He snapped at the girl, putting the hood back on and slouching in his chair, crossing his arms with a huff.
Why he seemed to be in a grouchier mood than usual was unknown. Maybe the fact they had to answer to Caelius once more had him on edge. Otto was not pleased to see him back at Deus Ex. At all.
