The encounter with Faleen in the training room didn't help things... in fact, they seemed to have the opposite affect.
Since that afternoon, Vany'n hadn't done much of anything, she didn't make much in the way of noise, and even went so far as to just lose her apatite completely.
The women's words echoed through her mind over and over again, keeping her up at night... afraid that if she closed her eyes, the look that Faleen had given her... the cold hateful glare would appear again.
The Vaporeon didn't seem to have any hope left... She had been taken away from Rosie, Faleen had left her, and Kathryn had been taken from her.
Where once she was kept going by the thought that she could try and get away, and go home again, that possibility just didn't seem like it was an option anymore.
What could so go back to knowing how broken the family was...
Vahy'n spent her days laying in her usual spot under Asch's desk, her eyes half lidded, and unmoving, staring at nothing in particular.

At first Asch had left her alone, but when she stopped eating, he had gotten a little concerned. Even Tyke had tried coaxing the Vaporeon into eating without success. Also, he at first was gruff, demanding that Vahy'n eat but as time went on... his demands started to become requests, and now he was at a loss. Despite only being a stolen Pokemon, Asch wasn't a heartless person, and he didn't want to see the Pokemon starve. Taking her to the infirmary wouldn't likely help a depressed Pokemon. He had also tried giving her more appealing foods without success and now Asch felt like he was out of options.
Thus, one morning after she had not eaten in several days, Asch sat himself down in front of the desk and stared at the shadowed and lonely form of the Vaporeon. He quietly considered her and the circumstances that had led to this. A bowl of fresh fish waiting just inches from Vahy'n's nose.
"You really should eat," he said quietly, his voice bordering on a plea. He then sighed and turned down his eyes. He didn't want to be responsible for Vahy'n's death as well.
The boy gave a sigh and carefully ran his hand through his hair, his expression somber. "I know what its like to feel betrayed. To have your family and friends taken away from you." He didn't know why he was saying this. Perhaps it was a last ditch effort to try and talk to Vahy'n.
