As the day slowly passed by, Candice spent the day in bed, sleeping most of the time and only waking to either take her medicine or feed little Cotton. The little puppy was a little restless, but somehow understood that there was something wrong with her owner and chose to either play with her own toys or nap by Candice.
Candice reached over to snug Cotton as the puppy went and gave Candice a loving lick on the cheek. The action helped, and Candice smiled. "Thank you my sweet," she said as she kissed Cotton on the nose. The puppy continued to wag her tail.
"I wish there was someone that had the energy to play with you a little while," Candice thought as she looked the puppy cuddling with her. Cotton was very understanding for a puppy, but Candice knew that Cotton was somewhat bored of her. She snugged the puppy again before continuing to rest her eyes on her pillow, feeling Cotton's heart beating next to hers.

If Millie hadn’t decided she was a Jedi…she would have been a ninja. She decided this on a whim. After knocking on the door to Candice’s house for a good few minutes, she glanced around, seeing a tree. That would do just fine.
She went to the tree, then started scrambling up it, holding the card she had made for Candice between her teeth. When she got to a sturdy looking branch, she climbed out on it, and moved so she was laying down, reaching for sick girl’s window and opening it, throwing herself through.
“Hiya, Candice! I brought you a card, I don’t want you to be sick, so you should open your card and get better, okay?” Millicent was very surprised that the whole, ninja thing had worked, and was very, very glad that the branch was so close to the older girl’s window. “You know, Candice…you might want to get that branch cut down…a robber could come in your room that way!”

Candice hadn't noticed she dozed off and not heard the noise, but Cotton had. The little puppy let out a few barks, but Cotton noticed that Candice was a little too sick to pay attention, at least at the moment. She tried to poke the hand that was hanging over the bed, but Cotton's attempts failed.
Cotton walked around the room until she heard rustle from the tree near the balcony. Candice had kept the balcony door and windows open to let the fresh air in as well as for Cotton to wander out for some fresh air herself. When there was a plop in the room, Cotton ran back into the room. Once she saw that it was someone to play with, the puppy wagged her tail and barked some more.
On the other hand, Candice held a hand to her head, having a bit of a headache. She was a bit dazed when she sat up, but noticed Millie in her room as well as the little puppy barking. "Oh Millie... How in the world -- "
When Millie mentioned the window and the branch, Candice sighed. "Normally the windows and doors are locked, but since I haven't been able to go out, they're open for both Cotton and I to get some fresh air." She smiled at Millie. "Thank you for coming to see me and thank you for the get well card. I had forgotten that you wanted to come over today."
Candice moved the blanket off of her legs and tried to bring herself to stand. "Let me try and get you some snacks... And... And... Be careful next time. It would have been had if you had fallen..."

Millie shook her head. “No! No padawan, you have to stay in bed! You’re sick, and you have to get all better, and soon. If you don’t, you won’t be able to train anymore, so…so don’t get up.” The girl ran over to Candice and tried to shove her back onto the bed, pulling the blanket up.
“Well, I’m glad they weren’t locked today, or I wouldn’t have gotten in. I knocked on the door downstairs, but nobody answered…” She looked at Cotton and laughed. “Hiya, puppy! How are you? Are you taking good care of your mommy? She really needs it, doesn’t she?” Normally the child didn’t like dogs…but Cotton was a good dog, even she could see that. And…good dogs were okay to like, at least in Millicent’s mind.
“So, Candice. What can I do to make you feel better? Oh!” She held out the card, grinning. “Open it! I made it for you, and…” The child pulled her pig backpack close and opened it up, pulling out her glitter canister. “And I’m going to sprinkle magic fairy dust on you, because that’s what Jett did for Raven, and he said it made her feel a lot better, so close your eyes and I’ll throw it on you.”

Candice was a little bit surprised when Millie tried to shove her back into bed, but with her body being weak as is, Mille's shove really did get Candice back into bed. Cotton came running over and then jumped on the bed, snuggling Candice and wondering if anything was wrong.
"Okay, okay..." she told Millie as she put her legs back under the blanket. "Just be careful... I don't want to get you sick as well, yah know?"
When Candice was back in bed, Cotton came and crawled under the blanket as well, her head popping back up right next to Candice's. "I don't think you've met my puppy yet. This little rascal is Cotton." The puppy let out a bark after she heard her name. It was also quite easy to see that Cotton's tail was wagging under the blanket.
She gently held the card and opened it. "Thank you very much, Millie! It's gorgeous." Candice smiled and looked at questioning eyes about the glitter. "Hmm.... Glitter..." Candice covered Cotton so the glitter wouldn't get stuck in her coat and then she closed her own eyes. "Okay... Go!"

Millicent grinned, taking the bottle of glitter, opening it, then sprinkling it over Candice’s head, giggling. “Magic Sparkle Dust…make my padawan better again! Come on!” Clearly she wanted this to work, and while she figured it really wouldn’t…that didn’t stop her from really wishing on it…
After all, magic really was real…and…and Candice had liked the card, so maybe the extra glitter would cheer her up enough that her body would want to fight off the sickness some more, and that by default would make her better!
There were so many good things that could come out of a bottle of glitter, and Millicent wasn’t sure she had time to figure all of these good things out.

Once Millie seemed to be finished, Candice opened one eye and then the other to look at the girl. The glitter made her cough a little bit but Candice brushed it off herself as well as her blanket as Cotton popped her head up from under the sheets. Looking over at Millie again, she smiled. "Does this mean I call you Tinkerbell now instead of a Jedi?"
Candice was half teasing, but of course, with all of the 'magical dust' she didn't really know what to call it. For sure it would be a mess for her to clean up when she was feeling a little better, but besides that, Candice wasn't really sure.
Cotton then took her chance to jump out from under the blankets and seemingly try and tackle Millie at her feet. The puppy ran around the little girl with one of her toys in her mouth, seemingly saying 'play with me! play with me!'
A hearty laughed escaped Candice as she watched Cotton and Millie. "She's been kind of bored the last few days since I've been stuck in bed. It seems like she's happy to have more company."

“Nah, I’m still a Jedi most of the time…but when people are sick, I just now decided that I’m the get better fairy.” The child looked at the dog, then hesitated, before kneeling down, grabbing one end of the toy and tugging, hoping that that was the right way to play with the small dog. It was…a very energetic creature…and she didn’t want it to be bored…
But she still very much preferred pigs. Pigs were by far the best pet.
She looked back up at Candice, picking Cotton up in her arms and just snuggling the creature. “I should be going home soon, I just wanted to drop off your card and make sure you’re feeling a little better…I’m glad I got glitter all over you, Jett seemed better when I got it all over him, so I’m really hoping it will do something…rather than just make a mess.”
Millie giggled then put the dog back on Candice’s lap. “I’m going to head home now, I’ll come by and visit you sometime soon, okay? I’ll try and use the door that time!” She laughed once more, then gave a little wave, heading out the door of Candice’s bedroom, deciding that it would be a lot safer just to leave through the house, rather than climbing back down the tree.

Candice smiled as Millie played with Cotton. Cotton herself was definitely enjoying the attention. Of course, she could have played for hours, but Cotton also knew that people came and went when it came to them being at the apartment. All that matter to Cotton was that Candice would be willing to cuddle. Candice covered Cotton with the blanket as she prepared herself to get off of the bed.
As she stood up, glitter fell on the floor as Candice pushed herself off of the bed. "Yes... I don't want to be keeping you too long. Your mother must be worried!"
She half dragged herself to the door and opened it for Millie. "Thank you for stopping by, Millie." Candice told the girl with a smile. "I would love to see you again, and yes, it would be better if you used the door next time." There was no guaranteeing the girl that Candice would be better, but she wasn't about to tell Millie that.
"Take care of yourself, okay?"
