“Lilly,” Honey whined as she buzzed after the lilligant, “wait up!”

Seeming to almost dance as she ran ahead, Lilly reply, “Oh come on Honey. You have wings! You should be able to keep up easily and, anyways, we are almost there!” Lilly was excited, they were heading to a garden that Honey had spied the previous day while she was, um, making honey. Lilly had accepted this about her companion, though she still thought the honey itself was, in a word, disgusting. Some people devoured the stuff, but after seeing Honey make some… she could never bring herself to try it. That was neither here nor there, and regardless of what Honey was doing when she found the place, Lilly wanted to go there.

Determined to keep up with her flower like companion, the little combee kept flying as fast as her little wings could carry her. She was getting tired, but luckily they were almost there; she would be able to take a break soon.

Excitement filled Lilly as she caught sight of the garden. With a celebratory twirl, she broke off into a sprint. She was completely oblivious to the fact that the garden already had a handful of occupants. Already exhausted,
Honey did her best to keep up when Lilly started sprinting. Despite knowing exactly where the grass type Pokémon was headed, she exclaimed, worried that she might lose her companion, “Waaaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittttttttttttt!”

Lilly’s eyes widened as the soccer ball approached, seemingly from nowhere. “What the…. “ she started to say, as she gracefully ducked down and seemed to twirl, without even slowing down. The little flower dancer was quite agile and quick on her feet. Much quicker on her feet then the little combee was on her wings.

Honey watched in awe, as Lilly deftly dodged the ball. She wished she could be agile like Lilly. She was ever so fond of the other girl; everything about her was amazing. Honey wished she could be more like Lilly. Lost in thought, as she was, she didn’t even notice that the ball, that Lilly had dodged, was coming right at her. “Umph,” was all she was able to let out as the ball careened into her body. Stunned, she careened to the ground.

Lilly, as determined to reach the garden as she was, still registered the sound that Honey had made. Turning around, mid-step, and seeing what happened. She quickly accelerated away from the garden and towards her friend. Honey did, at times, annoy her, but she still cared for her. “Are you alright?” she exclaimed as she approached the little combee.

“Uh, I think so, where did that ball come from?”

“I’m not sure; here let’s get you to the garden to rest.” Lilly reached down and picked up Honey. Cradling her in her arms, they began to close the distance to the garden.

“I…I.. think so,” Honey stuttered at the newcomers. They seemed to be concerned, about her, and sorry for what they did, but Honey didn’t know them. She knew Lilly; she trusted Lilly. Honey would much rather be carried by someone she knew. “Th…that’s ok… Lilly has me.” Luckily, Lilly was quite a bit taller than the combee, she had no problem carrying her in her arms.

Looking at the newcomers, Lilly, who was much more coherent at the moment, then Honey, was quite puzzled. She couldn’t quite tell what they were. They looked rather human, but humans weren’t that small, at least not that she knew of. “Hi, I’m Lilly,” the liligant began, “this is Honey. Um, what are you?” She probably could have phrased it better, but she was greatly confused by their appearance.

“An exeggcute?” Lilly repeated back. “I thought Exeggcutes looked like a pile of eggs though….”she trailed off, even more confused than before. “You look like a bunch of people…not eggs….” Lilly just did not know how to register this.

Honey, on the other hand, was in no state to register anything, not even the fact that they didn’t look like your average Exeggcute. “Oh, so you’re an Exeggcute. That’s nice. I’ve met one before. They were a bit smaller and rounder then you though.” She punctuated her statement with a yawn. The flight over her had really worn her out.

“Well, hello, um,” Lilly began, struggling to pronounce their collective name, “CAIZU.” She then carefully set the little combee on the bed of clovers. “You ok Honey?” she asked as she gently stroked the forehead of the central head.

“I…I… think so,” came Honey’s reply, which she followed up by adding, with a giggle, “Clover Honey.”

“Wait…” Lilly began, “you said you no longer need to use your mouth? So wait, did you change? Were you the normal egg looking Exeggcute, but now you look like this? How did that happen?” Lilly was in shock, she had never heard of such a change occurring. If that was what had happened, she didn’t know what she would say.

Yawning again, Honey answered, “Yeah, it was a while back. It was before I met Lilly. Lilly is nice.” Closing her eyes, she paused for a moment and then continued, “You don’t have lots of food? Are you hungry?”

As Ura replied to her, she continued to mouth the Exeggcute’s name, repeating it over and over again in silence. It was a tricky name for her to get her mouth around. After a few moments, she exclaimed proudly, “CAIZU!”

Smiling, Honey agreed as she stretched out her wings. “Yes, clover honey is good. I like all honey though. So tasty and sweet.”

“Oh,” Lilly replied, still unsure how to react to what she had been told. The thought that a Pokémon could fall asleep one day and awaken like that worried her. Could it happen to anyone? Sure it would have its advantages, but still, it would be odd.

“Berries do sound nice….” Honey trailed off. At the mention of the food, her tummy began to rumble. She could certainly use a bite to eat.

“An object cause this?” Lilly asked. “What did it look like? Do you remember?” She wanted to know what had caused this; maybe she would be able to avoid it then.

The talk of honey seemed to brighten Honey’s mood. “Oh, there are ever so many types of honey. There is a honey for every flower out there! The numerous honeyriffic types of honey are endless! I would love to try each and every one!” Honey was definitely a honey aficionado.

“A fallen star?” Lilly asked as she looked up to the heavens. She would have to be sure to keep an eye pointed upward. She didn’t want stars falling on her. It might have changed them, but if one hit her, she doubted it would be pleasant. And to change? To become more like a human? She didn’t think
she would like that.

Her wings fluttering slightly, Honey replied, “Well, I never mix up my honeys. I always know exactly what type of honeys I am eating, even if they are mixed up! Their tastes are so unique; I can’t imagine not being able to tell them apart. Humans though… they mix up their honeys… It is a shame.” As she heard more about the star, she formed a different opinion then Lilly. “If I found a star, could I grow arms and legs? That would make things so much easier… It would be nice to actually hold something…” She couldn’t help but wish she did find one of these stars.

Seeing Honey’s reaction, Lilly had a slight change of heart. She did want Honey to be happy. “Well,” she began, “maybe finding one wouldn’t be so bad.”
