TRIALS OF THE FOUR CLANSThe Four Clans, a territory bordering in the far lands of past simply Halloween Town, have set their eyes on an alliance. Though they are considered now honourary members of Halloween, they are secretive, quiet, very little is still known about their purpose and even, their culture.
Rumour has been spread that the Four Clans rulers themselves have been on the move: are they perhaps using Halloween to expand their own territories and clans or do they truly wish for an alliance? Moresoever, there has been a rumour that those of the Four Clans are stronger. Some even whisper that they could fight off the recent invasion of the Hunters that Halloween Town still denies the existence of.
With only the Four Clans offering a potential guidance to fight against the Hunters, perhaps this time, this time students will remember and be proud that they are creatures of Fear. OOC - The Trials of the Four clans is a horsemen sponsored TOURNAMENT that will be a "soft opening", to help create and establish the setting, culture and worlds of the Horsemen prior to the metaplot. - Students who participate in the Trials and manage to pass them will be given a special bonus reward. Students who would rather watch the entire tournament can cheer for their friends on the sidelines! - These roleplays are not mandatory and entirely optional, but participating in them will also give students more IC information on the current status of things they seemingly think have been out of their control for so long, including their debilitating weakness and fear against the Hunters - An IN GUILD AND IN THREAD ANNOUNCEMENT will be made when each trial/class is open, in which case students are free to enter and exit as they wish. All rps pertaining to this event will be done in this subforum.

TRIALS OF THE FOUR CLANS FAQ
What are the Four Clans? - The Four Clans refer to the four horsemen clans, a noteable group of creatures who have developed outside the main Halloween "Town" vicinity. The live and thrive based on their own sets of traditions and culture. Recently the Four Clans members have been seen around Halloween, even Amityville, simply learning more about their allies.
What are the Trials of the Four Clans?
- The Trials of the Four Clans refers to a coming of age tournament that all young clan members must take when they reach adulthood. They are dangerous and challenging, and considered a rite of passage. The Four Clans are offering this challenge to all schools interested, one tournament round for each school. It will be Amityville's turn soon to prove themselves in the Trials, and most of all, to see once and for all if their students are of horsemen-sponsorship worthy material, for the upcoming exchange program to the Four Clans.
Who are the Four Horsemen/ Heirs?
- The four horsemen leaders each are responsible for the wellbeing, decisions, and leadership of their clans. There are four clan members, and each clan member has several heirs lined up just in case the leading horsemen retires or passes away. There is one main heir for each clan, that is the next person directly in line to succession, which are the four horsemen Heirs that exist in Amityville (Cymbelline, Aisa, Invictus, and Eris). This is also why the other Four Clans members are also so interested in Amityville, due to the prolonged stay and partial attachment the current heirs have to this school.
What trials will the students have to face?
- It is a series of three tournaments, one course for each clan (Famine, War, and then Death). Each trial is catered specifically to that clan's culture and beliefs, for example, the Famine trial is based on building and scavenging, as the Famine clan are a nomadic tribe. Students will be asked to team up into groups, with one group leader. Depending on how far a student group gets in the trial, they will be given points, if they pass, they will be given extra points and a head start on the next trial. At the very end, the three groups with the most points will be offered a special prize/ role in the upcoming meta, assuming there are three groups that pass.
Will Hunters be involved in the trials through golems?
- No, this is just student/ horsemen interaction only. Hunters will have to sit on the sidelines for this one for now, sorry!
Can I rp here even if I don't have a student/ RP a quest student?
- Yes you can! "Guest" members will be allowed to watch from the observation bench, along with any students who don't feel like participating but want to cheer on and observe their friends.
Do we get prizes for participating?
- Of course! other than the RP bonus, the exam waiver bonus, the winning group of the event will be rolled and one person will win a free student art slot, free to use for either OFFICIAL ALT ARTS OR GROWTH Y2/ Y3 ART CREDITS. You cannot get a new student with it but the art can be certed as alt arts as you please, or growth arts! - In addition there will be plenty of minipet prizes and a special trophy for participating.
This sounds great, when do I start?
- Signups will be announced for groups (if you are observing you can just park yourself into the orp bench at any point in time). The signup period will last 3-5 days!
