 Things had become complicated for Fritter over time, but that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. He wasn't the most brave of soquili, or the smartest, or even the better looking. In fact, he thought he was lacking in all areas when it came to finding someone. Though, somehow, he found her.... Somehow she showed him that he was special in one way or another. How could it be? he didn't understand, but he also didn't really want to question it too much. If he did that, he might lose it all. He had been walking, but didn't know where at first. He had just let his feet carry him to where they wanted to go. When he came out of his thoughts, he noticed that he was where they first met. Him and Nerissa. It was a lovely place, now that Fritter noticed, well perhaps he was just being bias. Did it matter? It was a field of flowers, with a few trees here and there. Lots of grass, perfect for a nice graze. He found himself coming here often, and he didn't know why. Maybe it meant more to him that he realized. He stopped to take in the area, as if he was seeing it for the first time. Sighing, he decided he was hungry and started to graze upon a small patch of grass. His questions stayed unanswered, and that was probably for the best.

 Spring was on it's way and soon there would be more life, more sound, especially from the birds around them. She smiled at the birds in the trees, sooner or later they'd come together and make a family. Two birds together we're always a symbol of love. There was a certain someone her thoughts turned to, she smiled to herself.
'If I go back...would he be there waiting?' The flitter of a flock of birds flying past brought her back to reality. She just thought she was being silly but it just might work, so she set off.
Nerissa half skipped through the thought of the times when she had met Fritter here but she didn't want him to know that she was thinking of him, not fully, not yet. If her face wasn't already red and rosy pink would've found it's way onto her face, especially when she turned her head and surprise, surprise there he was.
Mister Apple Fritter.
"Fritter?" She skipped over to his patch of grass, she tried not to let her thoughts make her hesitate.

His head poked up from the grass he had been nibbling on, bits of grass stuck to his face, though he didn't notice it. "Nerissa?" He said kinda surprised to see her here. He though she would be off doing something else, yet he was hoping she'd be here when he first came. Hoping perhaps, that this also had a meaning to her that it did to him. Even if the meaning to him was yet to be clear. "What are you doing here?" He asked without really thinking about it. His surprise had taken him aback. His heart sped up a tiny bit, and seemed to skip every few beats. He didn't know how to really go about things around her, yet he felt odd without her. It wasn't something he was use to.

Nerissa giggled when he turned to look at her with odd bits of grass stuck to him,"wow, you must be hungry", she smiled tenderly. She wondered if she should tell him,"you have um...grass on your face...just right there", she gave him a chaste kiss which removed the stray pieces of grass.
She really was fond of Fritter, he made her even more giddy. "Does it matter much? What about a I'm-happy-to-see-you-Nerissa?" She was of course only joking with him and she left him know through her facial expression,"if you must know I was wondering if you might be here. I do think about you when we're not around each other."
She wondered why his feather looked so ruffled, maybe she was too prompt in her popping out of nowhere. She didn't mean any harm, she just couldn't let him wander off without saying hello. It was true she did miss him, he was the only guy apart from Ivory and her brother who had seemed to make a big impression on her.Lady Kiya ] tag! And time to snore!!! Bed time.

His ears flicked, and if his coat wasn't a gray, perhaps a blush would peak through. His heart skipped a beat when she did that. It took him a second to actually respond, and take in the rest of what she had said. He didn't know why he got like this around her, he should be comfortable around her. This wasn't fair. But it felt so right. "Oh.... er... thanks." He couldn't help but grin at her small joke. He never had been that excited to see anyone, well at least he didn't actually show it. He felt his heart race as she said that she thought about him when they weren't together. Should he say something like that too? This wasn't his expertise. He had no clue what to do. "I.... I came here to look for you." He finally admitted. He didn't know if that sounded corny or what, but it was the truth. Perhaps it'd make things better? He had no clue what girls wanted to hear, and didn't know what he should say either. He had a brother and a sister, but his sister was more like a brother...

Nerissa regarded him in a sort of joyful excitement. It didn't yet occur to her why he was hesitant or shy. Her heart fluttered and started to beat faster, she loved being around him, he made her smile. His almost mechanical movements made her want to let out a giggle but she didn't.
"I caught you out by surprise. I'm sorry. I hope I didn't startle you too much."
A radient smile was now on her face,"no problem." It felt like a dream, the sun had only just began to visit more frequently, but not enough to awake the flowers. They were friends and she always had fond thoughts for all of her friends, there was always room in her heart and mind for anyone who wanted to be there.
"Well now that makes two of us!" She nudged his side giddily, she didn't see it as corny at all, she only saw what was before her because the excitement of seeing him again pushed her to only see that. Nerissa had an air for adventure and although she had feminine elements her energies were always focused on very active and non-passive activities.[ Lady Kiya ] Thanks for this by the way! biggrin

He moved a little away from her when she judged him, with a smile upon his face. Though, he didn't know what to say at the moment. He wasn't sure if he should be surprised that she had the same thoughts as him, or not? He rustled his feathers before saying anything. "Are you sure you came here to see me?" He teased. "And you didn't startle me, you were suppose to be here before me" He teased again.

Nerissa watched his wings ruffle he wondered what it was like to have what may have felt like two extra limbs, he wouldn't know a life without them, to him it was all natural.
She could finally see the wonder on his face, she tilted her head to one side and listened to him,"I am", she nodded,"was I?" She looked startled,"well I'm afraid I was late...sorry." She looked down at her hooves.
"I've been missing you and thinking about you a lot, I've been wanting to spend more time with you, even just this day would be nice." She blushed under her red coat. "Will you stay with me for a while?" She hoped around him and reared,"come on! It could be fun. I've got something to ask you anyway!" She fell on her back during the last sentence. She really did have something to ask but she was afraid he'd say no or see her as being silly.

He had never thought about being without wings, to be honest. He wouldn't know how it felt, and never thought others would wonder how it felt. Not once had someone ever asked him about it. Really, they were something he hardly thought about, those wings. He flew when he needed too, and they sat at his side when he didn't. It was like huge ears on a bunny, they didn't realize they were big. "Or perhaps, I'm just early." He said to make her feel better. He did have a tenancy to be in places that he should, but at the wrong time. Another thing he never really thought about unless the situation went south. Not that it ever really had, thankfully. "Well, you could have just said that from the start." He said simply. Of course, it wasn't easy for him to express stuff like she did. Probably good he was with her, then. At least they got somewhere that way. He shuffled his wings a bit before giving her a rather cheesy smile. "I mean, it's not like I go too far." It was true, he never ventured too far from where he stayed each night... Hell, if she wanted to, he'd even let her sleep there... Of course, she'd have to ask first. "Of course I will." He said. It seemed easier to say things when asked upon it. He didn't know why, nor was he going to question it. Every time he tried to not be himself, things tended to go bad and he looked like a complete idiot. Which right now, wasn't want he wanted. He didn't want to be a fool around her. Never did he.
