So the United States accidentally burned the Quar'am, a holy book sort of like a bible. It is really sacred to people in Iran. In retaliation, they killed two soldiers. Flat out murdered them.
Before you start argueing, know that the Americans did not know about the books, all they knew is people were using them to pass messages about attacks against the army, things that could hurt them. So they decided to burn the information.
Ok, now argue! Is America in the right, or the wrong? Should they apologise?

They burned those books not out of hate for Islam, but for their own safety. I think it is insulting to even ask the United States to apologize to those who murdered our soldiers over a stupid ******** book of which there are millions of copies.

They can't go around murdering people just because of some holy book. End of story.

Too long; didn't read: No, the US shouldn't apologize and I am offended that was even seen as an option.

Get this: Barack Obama already apologised. People were trying to get him to apologise again, as in twice. Nobody apologised for killing the two soldiers.

If the president already apologized, then they, in turn should apologize.

Asking for another apology is downright insulting and is seriously asking for a fight.

Well, there's bad, and then there's worse. Given the choice between the two, which would you pick? The apology stopped more deaths from happening.

Also, I would like to point out a typo. I accidentally put in Seria instead of Iran. I had just finished watching the news and Seria was being featured because if the civil war and my mind was still on that. Sorry! xd

Whether if it's Iran, Syria, or another country, asking for two apologies is downright insulting.

Why should America apologize to them who killed two of our soldiers? The only apology America owes right now are to the families who lost a loved one in this money-wasting war that would never end.

I'm not sure you understand. Iranians aren't demanding the second apology. Americans are. The country's own people have debated about wether Obama should apologise a second time. Most people are against it, of course, but still.

Ah, now that it's much more clear for me...

Why should he? And for what?

The book was REALLY important yo those people. You aren't allowed to touch it unless you first wash both your hands and your feet, and it is in the same room that you happen to be in, not ever your shoes can point in its direction.
What people are saying is since this book is so important to their culture, we have hurt them a lot, therefore we need to very sincerely apologise to them.

If we just pulled out all our soldiers and signed an armistice wouldn't they have no reason to be mad at us anymore? =/ Though they didn't have to kill two good men who did nothing wrong and most likely didn't even burn it. If we burned it for our safety then we have an excuse for it. Honestly I think they over reacted because they have many many many copies of that book, unless it's like the first copy ever and such with is highly improbable then they have nothing to be mad at. Useless argument in my opinion.

That is culture, I get it. But if one apology isn't enough, then reimburse them with another copy and tell 'em to shut up.

People are overreacting about this. No wonder the world's gonna end.

Lol, I like the way you think, but it isn't that simple. The Quar'an has been passed down through the generations for possibly hundreds of years. They aren't easily replaced.
(P.S. I totally agree on all of your arguments. I'm just passing along what I heard people saying.)

If I had it my way about this thing, I'd have a bounty on my head. xD
I know it's not that simple, but something like this could spark another war that can possibly tear the whole world apart.

Is that something worth doing for a a cultural book that can easily be replaced?

Well, some people brought up just taking the troops out of there. Currently, we are protecting this guy who is in charge (I don't know if he's a president or a dictator or what. I'm guessing a tyrant.) and nobody really wants him in charge but he's what they call the lesser of a group of evils so the Americans put up with him. I think it was Mitt Romney, a guy running for presidential election, who brought it up. He says we should just leave and tell the tyrant guy good luck, because without the troops protecting his back he'll be dead before the year is out.
What do you say to that?
