The person who sets up the battle uses this post to show the images of the pokemon that are battling, state each pokemon's specialty, and their hitpoints. You can also add a witty title here just for fun.))

((The next post is to determine which field will be used for the battle. You can see all the fields here.)) Roll a Five: The Fire Field: A series of thick rock pillars, all different sizes of height, reach towards the stadium ceiling from a pool of hot lava. While there is a fire-proof net far below to catch any pokemon that falls off the platforms, the rock pillars themselves are hot to the touch. They can cause burns if your pokemon stand still for a set period of time. The air around the field is very heavy from the extreme heat. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to FIRE type attacks. This field reduces ICE and WATER type attacks by 25 HP.

((Now it's time for the battle to begin! These are the intro posts. First, we both have to roll a 100-sided die. The person with the highest number gets to attack first. In this post, you can RP your pokemon and/or trainer entering the stadium and preparing for the battle.))
Zinnia hopped up the steps to the trainer platform on her side of the stadium. It was time for another battle! She was going to use Zyk this time; her beloved zubat had been wanting to do some more training for a long time now. He worked so hard for her that she got worried, sometimes! But it had been a while since his last fight, so she felt that it was about time he got to test his skills in battle. "Okay, Zyk, get ready!" she said, tossing his pokeball into the air.
Zyk burst out, stretching his wings for a moment before flapping to his position in the stadium.
"You ready, Zyk?" Zinnia asked.
"Zu!" he squeaked confidently.

Lillith walked up the steps to the trainer platform and took a deep breath. "Come out Sakki!" Lillith threw the pokeball in the air.
Sakki popped out . "Dratiniiiii!" She huffed and puffed getting ready for the fight.
Are you ready hun?
"Dratini ini!

((So, since I rolled higher, I get to attack first. We use serebii.net to find out which attacks our pokemon can do. Here are dratini's attacks. To figure out what a pokemon's weaknesses are, you can use any pokemon type chart available. However, I like to use this one. So! I know that dratini is a dragon type pokemon and, using the type chart, I see that dragon-type pokemon are weak against dragon-type attacks. Looking at zubat's list of attacks, I see that Twister is a dragon-type attack. Therefore, I will use a Twister attack to do extra damage to your pokemon. When I look up Twister in the Attackdex, I see that I have to roll a 6-sided die to do damage; most pokemon attacks rely on 6-sided dice, but if you are unsure, just look it up in the Attackdex! When you attack, don't forget to post the stats at the end of your post. You can find the stats here in a code box.)) "Attack with a Twister!" Zinnia shouted.Zyk began pumping his wings as hard as he could. Soon, there was a strong wind whipping through the stadium, forming a tornado in front of the little bat pokemon. With an extra effort, Zyk sent the attack spinning toward Sakki.The wind caused Zinnia's long hair to fly in her face, despite it being bound in pigtails. She pushed it back with her hands and watched with bated breath as the battle began.[ Move Used in This Post: Twister] [ Moves Used Thus Far: Twister] [ HP: 800/800] ((Since Twister is super effective, if I roll a 1, it does no damage. A 2-5 will do 150 damage, and a 6 will do 300 damage.))

Lillith yelled "Attack with Thunder wave!
Sakki charged up then shot out a huge wave of thunder at the zubat.
Lillith watched as the attack was bright, this was exciting.

Roll two 4-sided dice in order to try to paralyze your opponent. First dice determines if it hits or not; 1-2 = miss, 3-4 = hit. Second dice determines how long the condition lasts, 1 = 1 turn, 2 = 2 turns, etc. (Count only your opponent's turn for the countdown)

Zyk felt the thunder wave course through him and, sure enough, he was paralyzed. He managed to angle his wings so that he glided more or less smoothly onto a rock pillar in the stadium. It seemed that the paralysis wouldn't last long, though; already he could wiggle a little bit.
"Oh no!" Zinnia said in distress. "Hang in there, Zyk!

Lillith watched in amazement, she was very proud about her lil Sakki.

((Oh, no worries! The RPing part is just for fun; you don't have to write out the attack hitting every time if you don't want to. :3 And yes, electric type attacks are super effective against zubats!))
Zyk winced as he was hit with another bolt of lightning. He leaped off of the rock pillar and hovered above Sakki, waiting for his trainer's command.
"Another Twister!"
Zyk whipped up another mini tornado that whirled quickly to the dratini.

Lillith watched as the twister knocked Sakki into the wall.
"SAKKI STAY STRONG!" Then bit her lip, wondering what to do, knowing zubat is weak against Ice also she decided to use an Ice attack!
Lillith yelled "ICE BEAM SAKKI!!"
Sakki sat up, looked angry and Shot out a strong beam of ice.
Lillith nodded, "Get em Sakki! You can do it!"

This time when Sakki's attack hit, Zyk fell like a rock. Luckily, this time he did not hit a rock pillar; instead, he fell harmlessly onto the safety net. He wasn't hurt for now, but it looked like he would be frozen for a long time.
Zinnia could only watch nervously and hope that the heat in the stadium would thaw out her pokemon soon. "You can do it, Zyk!" she encouraged.

Zyk tried, but he couldn't budge an inch. He was still frozen solid!

Luckily the attack missed this time. "Come on Zyk, just a little bit longer!" she called down to her frozen zubat.
Zyk was finally warming up a little. He felt his wings and body thawing out and eagerly started wiggling, hoping to speed up the process.
