Well anyone can hope, but I doubt there will be. Remember that Chiyo goes to America after Graduation. Basically the whole group has been split up. Maybe after Chiyo graduates college, she'll return to Japan and start looking for her friends.

Wishfull thinking, but there is almost no chance for that. The story is over. All the girls have to go their seperate ways. It was a very touching ending. To add more to it would be too ruin it.
The best we can hope for is a alternate reality type thing. Or perhaps a cross over with one of her other mangas.

ottsel-master or they can have an anime about Chiyo in America! Very few animes take place in America. And what good what that show be? Chiyo would be about the same age as all the other girls were at the beginning of the series by then. Who would her new american freinds be? Woudl they even be intresting? What would they do? WOuld it be liek that show Undergrads? I think a show aboyut Yomi and Tomo would be better. Sort of like an Odd Couple thing. Kinda liek the glimpses of Yukari and Nyamo we got durring the show.

Well if you read the manga's they ended the series pretty well. Its nice to think and hope they make a sequal to azumanga but they won't. If they did it would be about their kids or tie into Yotsuba&! becasue the police lady in one of the first 3 volumes looks like it could be Tomo, adn Yotsuba starts school soon so Osaka could be her teacher, adn then go to a pet store and see Sakaki. You never know though.

And if Osaka is Yotsuba's teacher you might see Chiyo-chan show up as part of Osaka's show and tell to show the kids how if they learn lots they can group up short and smart like her. Yotsuba&! 4 comes out March sometime I think. Well see in a few weeks what happens exactly 3nodding Also if you notice Chiyo-chans dad has made quite an apperance in Yatusba&! he's on shirts and stuff ^__^ I command you to go and look now!!!!! (not really sweatdrop )

Well..they could all call each other and say that they all miss each other and then the group surprises chiyo-chan in american and they go off through the series..

Yeah, that would be interesting. But, has anyone noticed how the longer an anime/manga gets, the more people seem to hate it, so if they did make a sequel, it might start to get boring and repetitive.
