Asherah wished this was a visit for pleasures sake, after having immensely enjoyed his company on her last visit. Unfortunately this was a 'business' visit, Tien had been in an odd mood lately and Love was one of the few she knew that might be able to help bring her out of it. The catgirl found her way to his door easily enough and knocked, her tail twitching back and forth as she awaited an answer. Hopefully she wouldn't be interrupting anything if he was at home.

Rio was...almost at home, as it were. He was on his way back up the stairs when he caught a glimpse of Asherah knocking on his door. He paused upon seeing her, and grinning to himself, changed to his katta shape before continuing. He padded quietly the rest of the way up the stairs, intending to sneak up on the aoide, to wrap an arm around her from behind and kiss her cheek.
"Hello," he purred, his tail curling with delight. That the catgirl might be here for business didn't even occur to him.

Rio was lucky, very lucky, he thought to kiss her as he put his arm around the catgirl's waist. Otherwise he would've likely ended up getting an elbow to the midsection and an angry feline on his hands. Still she was surprised to see him, and in feline shape, no less! The catgirl flushed beneath her fur and turned her head to nuzzle his cheek.
"Hello, Rio." She practically purred his name. "I need a favor from you, if you aren't occupied."

"Anything," he promised, pressing a soft kips to her lips. He was delightfully pleased that she had sought him out, and still did not suspect that Asherah was here for any matters that weren't her own. "What can I do for you? Would you like to come in?"

His kiss, as usual, made her head swim. The invitation was almost enough to make her want to put off going back. Had she been here for something less important then she would've given in. "I don't have time to, actually. I'm here for my lady, though she didn't send me." She had thought about leaving out the last part, but might as well tell him the truth from the beginning.

Rio's large, feline ears dropped at the news that Asherah didn't have time to come in and 'visit,' but after a longing nuzzle, he composed himself. Still, there was an undertone of disappointment in his voice. "Another time, then."
"What do you wish of me?" He had an inkling, but he asked anyway.

She frowned a little, seeing Rio's disappointment, only now realizing her own error. "You can be sure of that." It wasn't a lie, Asherah did fully intend to come back just to visit with him.
"She's been strange, even for her, the last few days. Refuses to come downstairs, hardly eats. Something is bothering her, but she won't tell me." Clearly not knowing bothered Asherah. She and Tien were usually so close, it was odd not to share something. "I thought...maybe she might tell you..."

"Ahh. That does sound serious." As if, perhaps, the goddess' visit to the Dragon King had not gone so well as it might have. "Lead the way, then, and I will do my best to help." As much because it was important to Asherah as because it was his 'job.'

"Thank you, so much." Asherah leaned in to kiss his cheek, looking a little relieved when she drew away. "Are you familiar with horseback riding at all? It is the quickest way to and from home." They would be able to ride together, so he didn't need to know much. Mostly just to hold on so he didn't fall off.
She lead him back down to the garden and made her way to the spot she had left Mocha. Thankfully the mare was still there and hadn't decided to wander off in search of apples.

"I am, as it happens." He rode his erras follower, Caoin, from time to time, so he had some experience in the area. Besides, what sort of dashing prince would he be if he couldn't ride a horse? It was practically a requirement!
And he'd be lying if he said he wasn't looking forward to riding a horse with Asherah.

"Good." Asherah smiled then climbed up into the saddle and scooted up to leave room for him. "You should know what to do then." She leaned over some, offering a hand to help him up if he needed it.

Rio contemplated it for a moment, but didn't take the offered hand; instead, he vaulted up on his own, not one to pass up a chance to do anything even moderately impressive in front of someone he, well, wanted to impress! Happily, he didn't botch the attempt, which would have been incredibly counterproductive.
He settled behind Asherah and wrapped his arms around her - not so much out of a need to hold as because he wanted to. Just because this was a 'business' trip didn't mean he couldn't enjoy the ride.

The catgirl giggled, leaning back against him after he put his arms around her. "Ride is a few hours, hope you don't mind?" She certainly didn't. For once it was a perk to have to travel the way she did.

"Mm, not at all," he assured her, nuzzling her cheek. "I'm sure I can find ways to keep myself entertained." Not that certain things were especially advisable while horseback riding, but hey. He could improvise!

Asherah certainly didn't doubt that. Though, she did wonder what exactly such things might be?
As she promised the ride was a few hours and it was past dusk when they finally arrived at the edge of town. Since it was dark the market packed away for the night and a few lit windows could be seen as they rode past. The town wasn't anything fancy, but it had recovered well after Gehenna. Had it been during the day she might've asked Rio to change into a form that was less 'exotic', it had taken the townsfolk long enough to adjust to her there was no telling what they would've thought of Love.
"Only a bit farther now."
