I'm thinking that we should have at least 3 or 4 side games besides the main avatar contest. Any ideas, guys? I was thinking I could host like a best experiment contest and have the guests come up with the most creative experiment they can think of. The best one wins. Oh! And we could have a searching game where we could post small images in our posts that people have to hunt for. Whoever finds the most before the ball ends, wins! What do you guys think?

I like both ideas, as well as the PM...XD
Perhaps a game for the P.E. teacher could be designing the best homecoming banner, since he/she/it will be obsessed with it. People could create them to be the same size as guild banners, which are relatively small.
I might be able to come up with something for the nurse...

A banner design contest would be fun. But let's make sure we don't have to many contests that will exclude people without art skills. We should try and strike a balance between them.

There's also always the standard avatar contest (required) (not tektek btw), art contest (not required), and writing contest (not required). Mini-games that relate to the plot are tons of fun, so look at your plot and think of some ways that you could work games into your plot. biggrin

Oh and here is a game I've had in my head for a while. On the last day, when all the magic is restored, one of the crazy calculators could make a bid for domination. Fortunately for everyone, it's not equipped for that sort of thing, but it still needs to be wrangled back into submission. So we could do that as a random number game.

Evil calculators! Yay!
I could totally see math trying to take over, since it hates me and I hate it.

Got an idea for a writing contest! Since the nurse is observing what's going on, she could decide to get some help from the guests in gathering observations. I'm not sure if they would be observing the becoming boring or interesting. I suppose it could be a choice if it's on the second day.

Let's have it be on the second day, but maybe we can limit it to like having them write no more than three sentences?

It is pretty hard to stay within three sentences, and I really don't think anyone's gonna wanna read all the entries, if they're all long and there's a lot of them.

I was just thinking that by requiring that it be short, people won't be to intimidated to enter, since sometimes people can't think of to much to write, while at the same time making sure that the entries can be judged fairly fast.

Most rooms will have a writing contest anyway. Why not try to make a fun spin on it by making it have something to do with your room plot? You could have the entries be like essay in format, or you could even have the guests come up with their own spells! Three sentences will be a bit restrictive. Most people will give you something a little longer than the ball's main plot, just as a reference. Don't be intimidated by it though. You can split up duties for different games/contests, so you won't have to read all of the entries on top of taking care of the other games/contests. Just divide it according to how much time each person has, skills, likes, etc. biggrin

Or, you could just send a fairly cheapo item to anyone who fills out a very short "diagnosis form" or something like that, and not worry with winners. Not every game has to have winners. Participants work just fine, but great idea!

Guests like that. biggrin You should be getting about two million for use in this room by the time the ball starts. Don't worry about prizes just yet. There'll be plenty of time for that. heart
