The ring, and Christine. I used to have dreams about evil cars.... the lovebug never held my attention like Christine did. I was a scarred, deranged child.

I don't care much for horror movies because I'm either too afraid to see them or I think they're just so crappily done. The few I have seen I thought should have been made as comedies. Like The Amityville Horror. It was such a bad movie but I just couldn't stop watching it.

I hate horror movies. I'm an action-comedy kind of person.

Then again, I'm still afraid of the dark.

I'm not one to judge there. Despite the fact I really don't mind it now because I know there's no way my house could be haunted. I still prefer to keep some source of light available in my room, usually my neon clock or my moniter. I just feel safter that way because I still don't have any weapons near my bed to keep for protection yet.

I've found the most comedic horror movie to be Tremors. That thing should really have been a comedy and it's a fairly good movie too.

Tremors wasn't a comedy?

I _Loved_ that movie. It scared the s**t out of me, though, since I watched it with my mom as a young girl.

I remember spending long nights in my bed trying not to move, because I was afraid that they'd get me through the floor.

The odd thing was that I knew they were fictional movie puppets, but I was still afraid of them anyway.

The same thing happened to my brother (guiou125) exept instead of tremors it was the amtivile horror, and he spent the entire night awake in fear because he was afraid the houlse would become possesed and kill him, and I don't get scared when I watch any horror movies, (although I get startled at teh sudden movments, but I don't know if that's another word for scared)

Heh, same here. But yeah, I remember when I was first told of it by a friend he said it was horror but it really should be a comedy. Another movie I saw that I thought would be way scary was Psycho. My dad says he's still afraid to take a shower today after seeing it but when I saw it in Mass Communications, I wasn't scared at all. I suppose it helps to know that the sounds are that of a knife stabbing a watermelon and the blood is really chocolate syrup but I really wasn't as afraid of it as I thought I'd be.

I think what scared me the most was when my preschool teacher told the class a Bill Cosby story about the chickenheart. That was what originally made me afraid of the dark and what I blame for makeing me a bit of a wuss when it came to scary stuff for most of my life. sweatdrop

Edit: This will teach me to finish reading all the posts before replying.. I've been obsessed with the Amityville case after seeing so many documentaries on it on The History channel (The first being a History's Mysteries episode hosted by Leonard Nimoy) To be honsest the documentaries scared me more than the actual movie but I think when I see the remake it might actually frighten me just because the special effects are much better. The only part of the original Amityville that had me jumpy was the end part with the eyes in the window, I slept with my curtain shut for a few days after that just to be safe.

I too am obsessed with the amtivile horror, and in fact a couple of weeks ago I passed a house that looked just like it and what bill cosby chicken heart are you talking about, the time he raped that girl or another time?

Up in Green bay, we have a bunch of houses that look similar to that house.
I haven't heard any relation between the supposed rape case and chicken organs. eek The story I'm talking about is from his album Wonderfulness. Back when he was a kid his parents would always get him to behave by saying if he was naughty the chicken heart would get him. I'd go home and then when my 'rents turned off the lights I'd freak out and start screaming or something.

Favourite horror movie? Hmm... I don't really have one. Of course, one has to take into account that what was considered horror "back in the day", would be considered feeble children's programming these days, about on the level with "Barney".
And, of course, our modern media has desensitised us to most violence... Wars, street violence, etc are always on the news. It's really a shame.

So, my favourite horror movie? Life. sweatdrop

... Of course... I also have a short attention span, and the memory of, of... Well, not a fish, since that's about two seconds or so... more like a goat. Or a senile old man.
This makes it so I can't remember enough about things I see to place them on a scale of favourites. xp

Yeah, I've known that since I saw the first one. (God bless the IMDB) Though this one doesn't look much scarier, but I think it'll focus more on the DeFeo murders that occurred before the Lusts moved in which I would enjoy seeing.

I've got to say though that my current favorite horror movie would have to be either the Exorcist (version I've "never" seen before) and Resident Evil Apacalypse because both are utterly hilarious.

LJ: GTA motha ********! *bam* TEN POINTS!

I like Nemesis the best in that movie because when LJ goes "respect!" Nemesis is all "Yo g-dawg, I respect a brotha!" and walks off. Then again that's just the crap I say while I MST it. ninja

Not actually horror. Unless, of course, you counted "Nightmare before Christmas" as horror.
Corpse Bride is undoubtably comedy.
