Kumo was just waking up, he kept quite as to prevent any of the other members of the pride from being awoken too early. He stretched out his limbs and began to walk toward the mouth of the enterance out into the open. It was perfect timing the suns rays was filling the sky with mutiple pinks and purples. Even though it never compaired to the beauty of the night it was still breath taking. It was the time he always awoke to begin to patrol his new pride, he was at home here it was so peaceful. Even though not many other wouldnt come into the area Kumo still felt like it was his duity to protect the pride and most importantly the Queen.

Fin'lay had begun her day much earlier then usual as she had found it hard to sleep very long. Her dreams had awoken her and her thoughts had kept her up. She had made a round around the pride, checking on the guards who had taken the day shift. However, she was returning back to the den area to see if any of the night guards were waking up to begin their day. She needed to let them know that they would be taking over the day shift again. Which wasn't uncommon within the pride. In fact this happened often as to allow each member to spend time with their loved one's. Fin'lay couldn't help but smile once she reached the dens and noticed Kumonryu was already up and beginning his day. "Merry meet Kumonryu." She said, still smiling.

Kumo was lost in his own world when the sound of a familiar voice rang in his head. "Oh Merry meet my queen." It was odd how often he ran into her but sensible. They shared the same time schedule ad the pride was still blossoming so seeing someone repeatedly wasn't out of the question. "What are you doing awake you should be resting." He simply stated he knew thy she too woke up early but still he worried about the queens well being she was after all the ruler of the pride. "I was just beginning my shift." His expression stayed consistently stoic almost emotionless. But that was normal for him, he grew up hiding his emotions from his old pride and he was taught emotion can show weakness so he had to remain stoic; it was all he knew.

"I was out speaking to the guards along the border." She said with a nod. "What of you?" Fin'lay asked curiously. She to knew he rose earlier then most though she had a feeling it wasn't as simple as that. Then again she was beginning to realize everything with him was more then it appeared. "We seem to bump into one another often." Fin'lay smiled, a light laugh coming from her.

"Yes I have noticed that too but it must be because our schedules collide in some areas." He looks at the female curiously what was so funny? "I like to get a head start on my duty." He scanned the land briefly before looking at the female. "Is there something you wanted to discuss?" Kumo said Looking at the female. If she had nothing to discuss he wanted to begin his patrol.

"You're duty?" She asked, curious to know what he was talking about. "What is your duty Kumo?" Fin'lay asked, taking notice of his shortness towards her but saying nothing beyond using his nickname. "What's wrong with you Kumo?" Fin'lay finally asked. Had she done something to anger him? Her eyes shifted from him to the pink and orange sky. She could not recall doing anything to him but maybe that was it? Maybe she had inadvertedly done something by not doing something. Sighing lightly she turned her gaze once more to the young male before her. Maybe she wasn't treating him grown up enough. Her head began to swirl with possibilities as she looked at him, waiting for his response.

Kumo looked toward the female whom he respected very much. "You have done nothing wrong." His tone was spoken with genuine concern, why would she think such a ridiculous thing he wondered. He noticed she said his nickname, it wasn't a big surprise many other did it was just easier to say then Kumonryu. "And my duty is to protect the pride from dangerous outsiders and be welcoming to those who wish to join." He examined her facial features. "I assure you my queen I am perfectly fine." He gave an actual smile something he hasn't done since meeting her; but he wanted to assure her that he was fine.

Somehow his smile and comforting words were not at helping to ease her worry. "Are you sure? You seem to be acting much different since the last time we spoke." Fin'lay said honestly. But she decided to let it go for the moment. "So you have decided you wish to be a guard?" Fin'lay asked, tilting her head a bit to one side. "What brought you to this decision? You do know you can be anything here." Fin'lay said, worried he may be rushing into a decision he wasn't quite ready for. Maybe he felt pressured into it. It would explain his change. Fin'lay's head once more filled with questions.

Kumo looked at her curiously, why did she care so much about what he thought he wondered. "Yes im sure, im perfectly fine." He stated once agin reassuringly. "Just feeling a bit more dutiful today, that all." He smiled pleased to see a ruler who actually cared for the pride and those who were in it. "Yes i decided to be a guard, it just feels natural and its all ive known." He stated blandly. It was true even in his old pride he was a guard, it was all he knew, all he was train to be. "I am aware i can be anything but being a guard feel like my calling." He said looking up intot the darkness slowing being cast across the sky. Looking at the female he smiled, "You have nothing to be worried about Sgiach." He said polietly bowing his head. Strangely the more he worried and wondered about her the faster he could feel his beat beat, it was such a strange feeling. He was not exerting massive energy like he did when fight so he didnt understand what was going on inside him, it made him feel strange.

"I thought you may one day venture down that road, though I didn't expect it so soon I guess." Fin'lay said in response to him becoming a guard. It was true. She had seen the warrior in him from the beginning but now that the time had come for him to act on it, well, she wasn't sure if she was ready to see him throw himself into such a danger. Sure she worried about all of the guards but something about him was different. He made her feel different then the others. Fin'lay sighed. She really hoped for all their sake's that it wasn't what she thought it was. "I'll believe you for now." She said simply, a light smile dancing across her maw. "But you'll have to show me." Fin'lay said as she looked into his eyes. "Or else."

Kumo wondered what she meant by or else but he didn't say anything he now wondered what he had done to upset her. "I will." The male said still unsure what he ha to show her. Females were confusing but males were thick headed perhaps this is why he has no mate. But he loved everyone the same so it was just a matter of time.
"Well then Merry Part ." Kumo said bowing his head before heading off to his patrol feel as if he left something behind. He glanced back looking at the queen of the pride feeling the strange feeling again it was a feeling he hasn't felt since he was little and had a crush on a male in the pride. Bit he couldn't have feelings for her she was the queen it was wrong wasn't it? He didn't know what to think but for now he left it be and walked off to begin to patrol the land.
