Sugar Delight had honestly wanted to go visit her new best friends sooner, but there were just so many things going on! Her little cottage was finished, her things moved out of Starlight’s- and most importantly, she was hit by the magical Planned Growth Fairy. Sugar thought being a filly was fun- but being an adult was awesome. She got to live on her own! Well… that was probably because she could finally bake without threat of setting the house on fire.
Speaking if baking… The wonderfully adult phony, who would totally be smoking hot if she were humanoid, and supposedly was smoking hot by phony terms, was putting fresh, delicious, un-burnt cookies into a basket. Basket handle clenched in teeth, Sugar Delight bounded out the door. She had a most important purpose for these cookies, as it was only polite to return a gift with a thank you, and what could be a better thank-you than food? None, that’s what. There was nothing better.
Humming a syrupy-sweet cheerful tune, Sugar Delight knocked on the home of Phonyland’s resident wizard.

TACO was doing some vocal warm-ups. Although he hadn't put on a proper concert since the carnival last summer, he wanted to make sure he stayed in shape. Disappointing his fans was the last thing he ever wanted to do. Not that he had ever disappointed anyone before; he was just to awesome to let it happen.
There was a knock at the door, and TACO jumped at the noise. A visitor? No one ever came to visit. They were all too intimidated by his charms. On his way to the door, TACO stopped at the mirror to check himself out. Flawless complexion? Check. Buoyant hair? Check. Pouty lips? Check. He was good to go.
He opened the door, and was met with a bit of a surprise. Sugar Delight. All grown up. Really grown up.
For the first time in his entire existence, he wasn't sure what to say. He thought about it for a brief moment while obviously looking her up and down with his eyes. Finally, TACO decided on which line to use, "If you were Fun Dip, I'd cover my stick in your sugar, baby. Why don't you come inside?"
Suave.

Sugar Delight paused, mouth half-opened, the basket swaying tediously from her teeth.
Wizards were so cool, and she didn’t even know what he was saying!
The mare smiled, setting the basket down, and replied, “Sure! Look, I brought you cookies! They’re totally not burnt this time, not even a little bit!” She nudged the delicious-smelling basket towards TACO, her obvious excitement having not toned down a fraction since she had grown up.

TACO looked at the basket of cookies. Well tie his legs and call him a hog, the cookies really weren't burnt. He reached his hand into the basket at a speed almost faster than the Phony eye could track, and snatched one out. The cookie looked devine; like the skies had parted and the cookie decended from the clouds. He smiled an awe struck grin, "Thanks! I'm so starved I could eat a horse! Well, only if we were stranded in the mountians and ran out of rations... I'm not usualy a canibal, but I'd make an exception if your cookie were a horse. I can't say no to something that looks this good when it's a gift from someone who looks so good."
Charming as usual, TACO stepped out of the doorway and motioned the mare in.

The mare lit up, smiling brightly at the compliment- and of course he would notice she was grown up. That’s what the looking good part meant, right? She couldn’t exactly tell, but she supposed that was just because he was a wizard.
“Thanks! Except don’t eat anypony. That would be weird. Unless… it was a cookie shaped like a pony. That would be okay.”
Sugar Delight nudged the basket inside the doorway before bouncing in, happy as a clam if a clam was named Sugar Delight. She paused halfway into the living room, head tipped to the side. She would make a weird clam. Can clams even eat cookies? Clams certainly couldn’t bake cookies. Maybe she should start dropping cookies into the ocean for the clams to eat.

Alright, so now that she was in, how did he want to do this... and more importantly, where. The couches were always good options. Sugar Delight seemed at home in the kitchen, so on a table might be in the mix. And of course, he did have a rotating, heart-shaped bed.
"You are welcome, my lady," TACO said with a slight bow. Some of the bedtime stories Taquita read to him were rubbing off. He was convinced that if he built a time machine, he would have all the ladies falling at his feet in the Age of Chivalry. Then again, they were all falling at his feet in his current time line.
He continued, "And don't worry, I don't bite... unless you want me to, that is." The line was an oldie, but a goodie; ladies usually reacted by giggling and swooning. How could they contain themselves at the thought of TACO-bites? "Do you have any cookies shaped like ponies in there, or am I going to have to sample your other sweets?"

Sugar Delight sat on the couch, smiling widely at her best friend ever.
“Nope, just regular cookies!” She frowned, head cocking to the side, “I only brought cookies though, no other sweets. If you want I can bring cake and tarts next time! Tarts aren’t as awesome as cake, but they can be a nice break from it. Oh! I should bring you my favorite next time! Jam thumbprint cookies.” The mare licked her lips, drooling only slightly- okay, no, drooling everywhere. She couldn’t help it.
“You would like them. They’re the best.” Sugar Delight smiled brightly at TACO. Starlight was silly to warn her about him, he was totally cool and they were best friends.

TACO liked that Sugar Delight was drooling all over him, but he would have preferred if it were a little less messy... and that she were describing his hot bod instead of baked goods. But, beggars mustn't be choosers, and although he only begged when asked, he certainly wasn't picky either. Besides, he was pretty sure everything she said was an euphemism for something else, and he just hadn't figured out what exactly yet.
"The jam thumbprint cookies are the best, eh? Why don't you describe them to me... really slowly. While you do that, I'll go and freshen up in my magic love lair. Don't worry, I'll leave the door cracked so I can hear you still." TACO thought that maybe Sugar Delight could talk in some sultry way about whatever it was she was hinting at, and that he could pick up some more clues. Also, he would use the time to get more beautiful (even though one can never improve upon perfection).
He walked into his room and stared at his closet. What to wear? What to wear? TACO had so many awesome capes that it was hard to pick just one. This was going to be difficult.

Sugar Delight shook her head, hoof lifting to wipe her face off.
“Oh man, I better not, otherwise we’re gonna have to start swimming around your house.” The mare nodded, head tilting as she peeked inside of the ‘magic love lair’. She could only imagine what sort of mystical things lay beyond the mysterious portal. Probably stuff like wizard treasure and magic devices and maybe even a dragon.
“Though I don’t know why I’d talk about them slowly anyways. It’ll just take longer if I do! Unless we’re having a slow-speaking contest. Are we having a slow-speaking contest?”

"No, we're not having a slow-speaking contest." TACO said with a hint of frustration. He was supposed to be the one playing hard to get, not her. At this moment, Sugar Delight was being just a little to coy for his tastes. He better hurry up and pick out what he was going to wear.
In a mad rush of ripping everything out of his closet, and throwing it on the bed, TACO tried on almost every cape he owned. There was a above knee-high pile of wardrobe rejects. That ruled out the bedroom for any funtime activities; he'd have to make sure that he kept the lady out. It would be bad for his image if she saw how much of a clothing horse he was.
Finally, he settled on a cape that was royal purple, and had a bedazzled design of a heart on it. Oh yeah, TACO was feeling the "King of Love" cape tonight. He emerged from his bedroom and gave Sugar Delight that look that is definitely male, and says that he's thinking nefarious things.
"Are you sure you don't want to tell me more about your cookies?" he asked as he reclined on the couch close to her.

Sugar Delight couldn’t help a small giggle. That face made him look silly- but oooo, that cape looked so magical. The mare smiled, head tipping the other way.
“Well I can if you want. What do you wanna know? I can make chocolate chip cookies and oatmeal raisin cookies and applesauce cookies and sugar cookies- well, just about every cookie, actually. I can make more than cookies too! Cakes and tars and pastries, that sort of thing. Bon Bon’s been thinking about hiring me and I think that would be so much fun!”

TACO was confused. Was... she actually talking.... about baking? Not sexytimes?
He reclined slouched like a ragdoll on the sofa and squinted his eyes while rubbing his face. "So by cookies... you mean cookies... Not, you know, getting down with TACO." And he thought to himself, but didn't add, 'And you really didn't just say that you and Bon Bon were going to get down either...'
He may have learned something by being yelled at all the time by mares to know to keep his mouth shut on that. It was an improvement for TACO.

“Yes, I mean cookies…” Hidden under a mass of stripey pink curls, Sugar Delight’s brow pinched. TACO looked suddenly… sad. She had no idea why so it was probably her fault. She couldn’t imagine what did it, talking about cookies didn’t equal an unwillingness to dance with him. Wait a second. Sugar Delight’s face scrunched thoughtfully.
About half the things Starlight said were suddenly making sense. Her snout twitched and her head dipped forward, headbutting TACO lightly on the shoulder.
“Ooooooh. I get it. You have a crush on me.” She declared, as chipper as ever.

"I... um.... um..." TACO wasn't sure how to respond. The tiny gears in his empty head were spinning faster than ever. Did he have a crush on her? Well, other than the general lustiness that he had for all the ladies, that is.
He headbutted her back the way that all emotionally underdeveloped boys shove girls they like. TACO wasn't a young colt anymore, but sometimes he still acted like one. "Well.... I like you.... maybe I like like you also," he said while awkwardly rubbing his hooves together.
This was a new thing for TACO. Usually, he would just come back with a pick up line and lure the lady into his embrace, but Sugar Delight threw him for a loop. He suddenly thought he might want her to be more than a one night stand. Then it clicked, and he knew just how to say it! "Sugar Delight," his tone dropped down and his stare was serious, "will you do me multiple times over an extended time period?"

They were a match made in heaven. Or, at least, a match made in a laboratory.
Sugar Delight paused, letting her own gears spin as she tried to decipher what he meant. Yes, she had gotten a confirmation somewhere in there that he liked her- which was awesome. He was fun and had capes, what’s not to like? She blinked, eyes flicking over as he gave her his be serious look.
“Like… like dating? Are we dating now?” She smiled hesitantly, head-butting TACO back.
