 Skipping from rock to rock, Hamie giggled like a young filly. It was quite obvious that the miniature mare was no longer very young; her fur wasn't as shiny as it used to be and there may have even been a few grey hairs here and there, but she didn't act her age.
Her eyes darted back and forth, completely ignoring the frost on each low ledge. Many a soquili would have far more care than she is showing. She has always, and possibly will always be, quite carefree and a bit reckless. Steadily, she climbed to higher and higher platforms of icy stone, not realizing any danger.

 It wasn't often that Oke wandered this far away from the herd on her own..but she had gotten low on a few herbs and while she could have waited for Hypnos to wake and escort her about she already felt like she had taken a great deal of advantage over the stallions kindness - no matter that he always seemed more then happy to help her.
Besides the herbs she was low on were fairly important and it simply wouldn't do to not have them on hand - imagine if someone got wounded and she didn't have them? It would be simply terrible to let someone suffer due to her own hesitancy about going out on her own. So she had braved the world outside the herd and made her way towards the rocky ledges where she knew this particular moss liked to grow in the hopes of finding some still clinging to the stone despite the cold weather.
Of course as she arrived the sound of another Soquili drew her attention - it sounded like someone giggling but at first glance Qke didn't see anyone about..well..until she looked up and gave a quiet gasp as she watched a mare leaping about on the icy ledges - it was a recipie for disaster as far as Oke was concerned. "Hello up there!" She called out cautiously - somewhat wary of startling the mare. "That looks very dangerous" She added "I'm not sure you ought to be doing that with all the ice"

Upward Hamie went, not noticing how high up she really was, and not really caring either. The higher she went the icier it got. Her eyes were only focused on the higher ledges, not once looking down until she heard a voice.
She sharply swiveled her body and slid to a stop, her back hooves were inches from sliding off the ledge, "Oh hello down there!" Hamie called back. She couldn't quite hear the other mare, "Whatchu just say?" She trotted forwards and slipped. In a panic she shuffled her hooves and ended up stumbling down onto a lower ledge a step down, almost landing on her rump, "Oops," Hamie giggled and picked herself back up.

Oke gasped slightly as the other Usdia nearly fell off the rocky slope - thankfully she caught herself before going to far but Oke was certain that given a bit more time she truly would fall straight off and probably break her neck. "Oh! Please be careful!" She called up to the other mare in a fretful voice "It's awfully slippery up there and your very high up" She pointed out hoping that the other mare would realize the danger she was placing herself in with this game - as clearly she didn't realize it at the moment giggling like she was!
"Perhaps you should come down?" Oke invited, hoping that the mare would take her advice and then after a few moments of thought added on "Carefully.." Oke wasn't sure what this mare was thinking crawling about on such a dangerous place...perhaps given that she didn't notice the danger the mare was mad or a bit touched in the head. In any case Oke simply could return to looking for her herbs until she knew the other mare was safe and sound.

Hamie noticed that the mare seemed to be quite worried, and most likely worried about her. She picked up the words "please", "awfully" and "up." she really wanted to know what the mare wanted to say, as she sounded quite urgent. What if it was something important? Once again she started bouncing down the ledges, losing her footing every few bounds but always catching herself.
When she got to a certain level she heard the mare ask her to get off the ledges and come down, "I'll be down there in a second!" she called back. When she heard the word "carefully," she realized that she may be going a bit too fast and attempted to slow herself down by pushing her two front hooves down. Of course, this was absolutely ridiculous and she ended up skidding over the edge and landing full force on the next ledge down, which wasn't as close as she would have liked, with both forelegs straight out. She cried out as a pain went up her legs and into her shoulders. She buckled and then slid down to the ledge below the one she just fell onto, which was luckily not too far down, but she still hurt her side. She gritted her teeth in pain.

Oke watched as the other mare started to come down from the rocks, it was what she had wanted her to do right from the start but despite this fact Oke found herself holding her breath every few steps as the other mare slipped and slid about. Apparantly 'carefully' meant something differant to this other mare then it did to her.
Regardless of her worry however it looked like the mare was going to make it down without anything too terrible happening...and then that hope was dashed against the rocks, much like the poor mare as she slip over the edge and cried out in pain. Oke had lost sight of her when she fell but it was obvious she had landed on one of the other rock ledges..which was a good thing as falling all the way to the ground would surely have injured the mare far worse. Ditching the herbs she had gathered Oke bounded carefully up the rocks towards the mare - sure she never would have tried climbing them for no reason but the other mare was hurt and Oke couldn't just stand by and leave her to there to suffer.
It took her a little bit to navigate teh rocks safetly but when she finally came into sight of the other mare she was relieved to see she was indeed still breathing - Oke's imagination had spun all sorts of horrible images. "Are you alright?" She called out as she hurried over to the mares side "Can't you walk? Where does it hurt?" she question the other mare while nosing about her for any obvious injuries.

Hamie cringed with pain. The shock was slowly subsiding and turning to pain. She moved her hind legs gently, but doing so caused her side to ache. Hamie's forelegs refused to move, and hurt very much when she tried to even shift them ever so slightly. She barely heard the other mare's hoofsteps as they approached her.
"I-I'm not alright." Hamie attempted to tilt her head to no avail, "I can't even move a hoof." She tried to take a deep breath, but that, too, hurt. She winced and relied to the mare's other question, "It hurts everywhere, but the side I'm lying on and my forelegs hurt the most." Hamie went to gesture with her head but she immediately regretted it and gritted her teeth.

Almost instantly Oke thought of a hundred differant lectures this mare needed to hear..about being careful, about being aware of dangers around her...but as a healer Oke understood that this was not the time for such things, no this are was scared and Oke had to help her.
First of all she needed to calm her down so that she wouldn't go into shock or anything like that. "It's alright" She told the mare in a soothing voice "I'm a healer, just let me have a look at your injuries..you might have just pulled some muscles, they hurt but they will heal up" She assured the other almost certain that this was probably going to be the problem given the mares position and the way she had fallen..probably some bruises and scrapes as well though they would be hard to treat way up here on the ledge.
"Alright..first things first" Oke told the mare after she had come to a conclusion "I think a bit of mint poultices on your sore muscles to help ease and relax them, some arnica for you as a pain killer and then we'll try and get you off the ledge, once your on the ground we can chekc to make sure you don't have any cuts. My bag is back down on the ground I have to go and get the medicines,,,don't worry I'll be right back!" She assured the mare before turning and picking her way back down to where she had left the herbs she had been gathering, luckily both of the herbs she had prescribed were ones she had managed to collect.
