Gaaghii was busy with his familiar Dionis and the current debate was pretty much one sided. The yellow and black crow was above the dark lion, looking down at him and hopping branch to branch, cawing loudly at his quiet friend.
"You should have went around the left versus the right. You would have had a better chance at catching that rabbit-CAW" The bird lowered her beak and laughed as it rubbed it against the branch. She lifted her head and turned it to eye the dark male below; who looked up at her and shrugged.
"Next time." He said simply, laying down and sending a dusty cloud into the air around him. His dark tail flipped at the tip, showing the small amount of irritation he actually had; that his simple way of talking masked. "Won't starve." He added, crossing his front legs with a sigh. He loved his companion Dionis but... sometimes she was a pain. "Didn't see you helping."
"Naaaw. Don't need help, no ya don't!"

 Magdiel was wandering around. She liked to go and visit the other clans even though she loved her own. The mantis clan was a fun clan to be in, new, fresh, fun, as she was to the ela. She knew very few lions and she could certainly only call one or two friends. On of those friends materialised before her though and she smiled.
"Ahoyahoy big dark and mopey, whats wrong?" She smiles a playful friendly smile the young tan and peach lioness saunters straight up to him and sits down, very close to him, her but virtually perching on his arm. "You seem very upset, whats making you so down my Gaagii?"

He hadn't noticed the speckled lady that he considered to be his friend; as she approached he and his companion. He lifted his head upon her speaking and smiled to the peach lioness; trying to ignore the continued laughing of the crow. "H'lo Magdiel!" He said looking a bit more pleased now. "Just some bad hunting is all." He added, tossing a glance upwards at the crow who was staring down at them.
"Bad hunting? Haaw. You missed by a miiiile!" Dionis cawed, flapping her black tipped wings and bobbing herself up and down on the branch. She turned and looked down to Magdiel. "That rabbit juuuuust ran past 'em.... it did." She sat back on the branch, looking content with herself.
"Yeah. Was watched the whole time I was." He tossed a glance upwards.

Magdiel looks up at the bird and shakes her head. "We all have bad luck from time to time." She whispers licking him on the forehead. "Are you hungry? we could go hunting together we could catch something much bigger." She smiles and nudges the big male with her butt. "Come on mr fuzzy grumpy pants, we can make all those grumpy looks fade away with a good hunt."
She smiles her sweetly charming smile, hoping thats he could cheer her friend up. After all he was the only persons he truly considered a friend of hers in these lands. She had a few friends of course, but no one was like Gaaghi.

Gaaghii looked up at Dionis as well and shook his head. For being someone he chose to spend a lot of time with. He felt a bit better when Mag gave him affection and he smiled, leaning into her and rumbling happily. "A little hungry." He said truthfully. He had been hunting for a reason; but wasn't gonna openly admit it in front of Dionis. "Yep." He simply said in agreement to go out and hunt together. He could care less if Dionis helped or not.
He stood up and shook himself off.
"Lady'll get more than yawww." Dionis said simply, flying down from her tree branch and settling herself beside them, pecking at the dirt for a moment. "Dionis come?" She looked a bit distraught that she hadn't been orally invited either. Her wings flapped a little.
Gaaghii looked over at his crow friend and made a motion for with his head. "Come."
Dionis hopped over quickly and flew up onto her friends back.

Magdiel chuckled gently and looked at Gaghii and his crow. She knew full well that the crow was just teasing him and that he felt stung by it. She leans over Gaghii's back and nudges the crow. "You're just as hungry then?" She raises a brow and smiles a cheeky smile at the crow.
"This way then." She flickers her tail and starts to march in a direction of her choosing. She had seen a small herd of antelope earlier and she knew if she had someone elses help she could capture one.
"You know, you should come and find me when you're huntuing sweety, I can help you out any time you want." She glances back at the dark lion with a gentle glimmer in her golden eyes. "I'll always help you."

Gaaghii cast a glance at his crow and gave her a look as if he hadn't been catching on to her hunger. He simply sighed and stood up fully and began to follow his friend Mag; his tail flicking lightly. He quickened his pace so he was close to her, not caring if the crow followed right now or not. If she had only mentioned she had been hungry; he would have tried harder.
"I know." He said quietly to Mag. "I just know I can do it on my own..." He said simply, his bull headedness showing. He held his head high and didn't want to admit it. "I'd do anything for you too Mag." He said with a smile, watching her walk.
Dionis quickly managed to land on her comrades back; with help from a bit of flapping and hopping. She settled herself on his rump and sighed contentedly.

Magdiel glances back at the russet maned male and smiles. "Well maybe you should just start hunting with me. You know when you're a rogue you have to well to hunt well." she flickers her tail "It's easier when you're in a pride." She smiles wistfully looking a little distant for a moment though she quickly shakes away the far away look and concentrates on the path ahead.
"Lets get you fed, I'm sure you'll be much happier if your belly is full." She smiles her sweetly dazzling smile at the fluffy male her golden eyes dancing happily. She liked the heavily tattooed male, more than liked,s he considered him ehr best friend but she wasn't really sure how he felt about her. He wasn't too forthcoming. Maybe if she fed him he would open up.
Her mother had told her once the way to a males heart is through his stomach,she was ready to test that theory.

He looked at her speckled rump quietly and took her words into depth for a moment; which was common for him to do. He typically took words and thought them over during a moment of silence before speaking. "I suppose that would work.. I would like that." He said with a smile. She was offering to spend more time with him; and he took that as a good sign. Perhaps he wasn't so solemn as he thought. Mag really seemed to like him. "Eh, I certainly haven't had much luck being in a pride or not; I just seem to be unable to hunt well on my own." He added.
He simply nodded; grateful for her companionship and her kindness. "I really appreciate it Mag... And I mean that. You're like... my only friend other than family." He said with a smile; quickening his pace to be side by side with her. "I... appreciate it so much."
"Psssssshaaaw." Dionis cawed, bouncing around on Gaaghii's back as he went. Dionis knew that somewhere deep inside that these two would be friends... and perhaps more. She had never thought the quiet, dark and secluded Gaaghii would ever experience such a thing. It made her happy. "Mag enjoys your company too I think. She said, flapping her wings and lowering her head and preening her friends mane.

The soft peach lioness smiles at him and nudges his shoulder as he caught up to her. "Hey, how could I not help you? You're like my best friend in the world." She smiles a soft sweet smile and lifts her had to indicate what lay ahead. "See that little herd of zebra, if I creep around to the back I can flush one towards you, do you think you can snag it?" She tilts her head curiously, her bright golden eyes curious. She knew if he could slow it down she could catch its butt and bring it down enough to make the beast a very good lunch for the boh of them.
"Whaddya think? We can do it together right?" She smiles her dazzling smile once again waiting patiently for her companions answer. She wanted him to be comfortable, she wanted him to know she would still be there and she wanted him to know that together they could do this. They could be a great team and maybe more, a great couple... She lets out a quiet sigh she wanted Gaghii to be more for her but he always seemed so distant. Perhaps if she provided him with a good meal, with his help, he would see how much she liked him, she had been told once, by someone, that the way to a males heart was through his stomach, well, she was ready to test that theory.
