Gale decided that if he was going to actually win a battle, instead of sulking all day about losing them all, he would have to go out and practice more.
And by that he meant go and drag out the ones who called themselves his "bros."Text to Before Wanna spar? I'll be out on the training grounds if you're interested.

Before was in his room, having a quick nap when the musical tone of his phone alerted him of a message. Sleepily, he fumbled for the device, barely managing to register he had a message, let alone read it. Eventually he rubbed enough of the sleep out of his eyes to comprehend and reply.

Gale fidgeted impatiently while waiting for Before to arrive, idly twirling around Jinhai like a baton - which the rifle didn't really appreciate.

Before was still more than a little bleary eyed by the time he arrived at the training grounds. It was less a conscious call than second nature that had the Misty summoning his weapon. Holding the wheel with one hand, he waved sleepily at Gale with the other.
"H-hey brooooo~" he yawned, opening his mouth so wide and hard his eyes teared up. Obviously someone needed to be woken up. Specifically the someone who suddenly threw his arms wide open to give Gale a rib-crushing hug in greeting. The large wheel smacking into the back of the smaller Deather's back might also have hurt.

He did not expect Before to hug him on greeting.
Especially since he was holding his wheel in his hand. The damn thing cracked against Gale's back and he let out a startled squawk, very nearly dropping his rifle in the process.
"Before," came the somewhat muffled reply, Gale's face pressed against Before's shoulder as he pushed a knee in between them to pry the other off. "You're...crushing...me..."

The Misty gave the Deather a sleepy thumbs up and eased off. He was still holding Vanna but to his side, eyes practically still shut. Before also had a serious case of bed-hair but it's not like he was trying to impress anyone with his "boyish charms" and he'd actually rather not, come to think.

Gale stood there, very awkwardly, with Before still flopped on him, but after a long moment - a very long moment - the sleepy hunter stepped away, swaying slightly.
"Before," said Gale, mildly exasperated. "Wake - up - !"
This was followed by a whack of his rifle against the older hunter's leg.

The Misty growled liked a hibernating bear being poked with a stick >|C "Am so awake." Even with closed eyes, he swung at Gale and felt the spike on Vanna lightly graze his bro.

Gale just gave Before a Lok.
"You are most certainly not aw - ow."
Gale swung the rifle around and clocked Before in the side of his head.

Stars flashed behind those closed lids of Before's when Gale's rifle struck him. The blow sent him spinning on his heels. And guess who spun right along with him? That's right! Vanna! And guess who was in the way of her spin? Here's a hint: it's not Before.

Clearly Gale had underestimated Before, since a second after he had smacked him with his rifle, the wheel spun out and clocked Gale a good one right in his side.
"OW HOLY MOTHER OF - "
He swung the rifle around again and struck Before's legs, hopefully knocking him off his feet.

Gale probably should have struck at Before's legs at a different angle because, "OH SHI-!!!!" The Misty just toppled over towards the Deather. Giant wheel first. @A@!!!!

And then suddenly there was a giant wheel on him.
Gale let out a string of curses unbefitting for a sixteen year old boy and shoved his knee upwards into Before's stomach.

A sharp breath of air exited Before's lungs as Gale's knee drove into him. Maybe the younger Deather hit the right spot, or maybe it was the wrong spot. Whichever it was, the jolt of pain had the Misty pulling his wheel off of his opponent with one hand while the other grabbed Gale's collar to pull him into a vicious headbutt.
