When they turned into kits they had once wondered into a playground with some other Noodles (Leb had dared Koi to come with him) but the other Noodles made fun of them because they were outsiders and looked strange together. The two ran off and lived in the forest until they were adults. Then they slowly started living with the other Noodles, much to their relief the other Noodles didn’t mind them, despite Leb being a demon.
“This is going to be a surprise,” Lebbaeus laughed to himself, “Koi isn’t expecting me for another two days! She’ll still be busy cleaning and freak out when she sees me.” He smiled at the thought and hoped to himself that Koi would at least already have a bed out for him.

Lebbaeus laughed and jumped swiftly over Koi’s head. He landed lightly on the floor, taking a look around, shaking his head in mock disgust. “Would you look at this mess? And what’s this? Ugh, gross these dishes look like they’re starting to grow mold!” He trotted over to her bathroom and shut the door. “You might want to crack a window in there or something.” He continued walking around her house pointing out dirty spots and shaking his head. “Tsk, tsk,” he told her, “I expected better from you! I’m the guy; I should be the one with the messy house…that is if I had one.” Lebbaeus walked to her back door and slid it open. “Well I see you’re at least taking care of your pool. But that’s no surprise.” He plopped down on the patio and flicked his ears, waiting. “Well, where am I sleeping?” This is so much fun, Lebbaeus thought, I think I’ll stay a long time this visit. “Also, I’m inviting some friends over this weekend for a huge party. That’s okay right?”

Kitsune flicked her ears in annoyance, "You'll be sleeping at the bottom of the pool if you aren't going to behave." She stomped over to him, angry her lovely afternoon was ruined, but still happy to see her friend. "A party you say? And just who are these 'friends'? Also, if you don't help clean, there won't be a party." Suneki huffed. He just smirked at her. She sighed, "I'll go set up a bed for you." She snuck a quick hug before he could protest, then headed off to pull out the inflatable mattress that was stored in the closet. When she finished that, she started working on the kitchen and, after lots of pestering, Leb gave in and helped with the dishes and chopping up veggies for some soup. It boiled for a bit, then they declared it done and sat down to eat in a nice clean kitchen. Kitsune took a sip, "Ah, perfect. So, let's hear about this party you're throwing. Who exactly are you inviting?"

Lebbaeus laughed to himself as Koi walked off to clean and fix him a place to sleep. After she was out of sight he lay down by the pool and sighed. He hadn’t seen Kitsune for over a year. He had traveled the world and saw all there was to be seen met lots of people, chatted with hundreds of pretty ladies, but none he could consider friends. He had known Koi since they were little boll, both abandon in the same dark ally. She should know better than to think he had any real friends. There was no party, unless of course you count sleeping on a real bed a party. Up until know he had been sleeping under trees or jammed into bushes, wherever the rain didn’t leak through. Lebbaeus jumped a foot in the air when Koi called him inside to help her clean the kitchen. At least he had one friend he could count on. ”Koi probably won’t mind if I stay here, she lives by herself anyway. She could use the company,” When they finally sat down to eat Koi inquired who would be attending this party. Lebbaeus thought about if for a long second. Should he tell her the truth? Or find out how far he could take this little joke? He was having fun so he decided to drag it out some more. “Oh well you know, just around 6 people. You do have snacks and drinks already, right?” He grinned at the expression on Koi’s face. “Don’t worry! I’ll go get them right now, you better tidy up a bit more this place still looks pretty bad.” She glared at him while he stared back looking innocent.

Kitsune ground her teeth together. His hesitation made her nervous. Was he joking? Did he mean ‘6’ or ‘60’? What if no one showed up? He’d probably get a good laugh as he watched her freak out and clean like a mad Noodle. What if some Noodles do show up? Damn, now I have to clean.
”Yeah, I can pick some stuff up when I go out tomorrow,” Koi glared at his poor attempt to look innocent about the whole thing. She yawned and shook her head. ”Come on, let’s go to bed. If you really are throwing this ‘party’ at my house, I need my rest. And YOU, better help with the cleaning, or anyone that shows up at this house is getting the boot. ”

He walked in circles around her, smiling at her slight panic. ”Wait…did you say tomorrow?” He rolled his eyes ”I’m a demon remember? This party is tonight! That’s why I said that I’ll pick the stuff up right now.” Koi’s eyes widened in horror and anger. He rolled on the floor and laughed hysterically ”Nah, I’m just messing with you. It’s going to be on Saturday.” He yawned and stretched. ”Well I’m beat. Why are you just standing there? Come on I need to sleep. Where’s my room again?” Lebbaeus ran off quickly into Koi’s room before she could slap him. Hanging out with Koi was so much more fun than he remembered.

Koi resisted the urge to throttle Leb as she watched him leave to her room. Goddess give me strength, Kitsune wandered in after him. He was under the covers of his make-shift bed 'snoring.' She took this opportunity to slap him with her fishy tail, then quickly dove under her own blankets. Sunkie heard him make a noise in protest. "Night, Lebby," she giggled to herself then hunkered down for the night.

The next morning Lebbaeus got up early. He had some trouble getting to sleep the night before and didn’t get as much sleep as he had hoped. Must be because I’m not used to sleeping on a real bed, he thought to himself. It was so early that KitsuneKoi wasn’t even up yet. He wandered around her new house. It was really nice! There was even a huge pool installed in the backyard, which was to be expected since she was an aquatic. He really needed to get a house of his home, but there was no way he could afford it. But if he had some roommates…yes. It just might work. He turned on Koi’s computer to make up a flyer only to find it password protected. ”Damnit,” Lebbaeus swore. The password hint was ’Nice try Leb!’. Well…time to get Koi up! It was already 6:30am and she usually got up around this time anyway. Racing as fast as he could he flew into Koi’s room (banging the door open behind him) and dropped onto her bed. ”MORNING KOI!!!”

Kitsune always woke up early when there was someone new in the house. She remembered when Jasper, Kami, and Echelon moved in she ended up waking up an hour earlier than usual. Echelon didn't sleep much so it scared her when she woke up the morning after she found him and saw that he was already in the kitchen. For some reason, having Leb in the house made her even more nervous. She only slept for about five hours before Koi found herself tossing and turning. She got up, had a glass of water, and changed the password on her computer. Still unable to fall asleep, she did the one thing that always helped, swimming. Stretching out on the bottom was most relaxing. An hour after she got in, the sun rose making the water sparkle. I better go start breakfast... Climbing out and shaking herself off, she headed inside. Kitsune jumped about a foot in the air when she heard Leb shout. "What are you doing?! Get off my bed!" She rushed at him knocking him off onto the floor. "Trying to scare me while I was asleep, huh?"

”What the hell are you doing up so early?” He said, irritated he had failed at his attempt to scare her. He wandered past her and started opening doors at random to see what he could find. Maybe there was another computer somewhere that wasn’t password protected. Koi followed him, annoyed bugging him to stop and repeatedly asked him what he was doing. ”I’m just checking out your new place! Oh, I’m going to go check out the upstairs. If I had known you had this much room, I would have invited more people to the party.” He heard Koi yell/whisper behind him telling him ‘Seriously don’t open that door!” but it was to late. He pushed it open to find a bedroom with a male Noodle laying in the bed, still fast asleep. Lebbaeus widened his eyes. Clearly, Koi was keeping some thing from him. He shut the door quietly and shoved Koi all the way to the kitchen before he exploded. ”WHAT THE HECK IS A GUY DOING IN HERE?!” There was this new feeling brewing inside him, like some overprotective brother instinct. ”You said you had a new house but you never mentioned you had a roommate, let alone a male roommate!” He sat glaring at her while he waited for an answer. They had known each other practically forever. They always told each other everything, so why didn’t she tell him this very important detail?

Kitsune put a paw on Leb's shoulder. "Calm down! It's not what it looks like." She was about to sit him down and explain when Echelon came though the front door. "Hey! Suneki! I got all the stuff you said we were out of! I also stopped by and got that stuff Jasper wanted!" The kitchen door swung in and he walked in. "Hey, Echo. This is my friend, Lebbaeus." Echo set the groceries on the counter and offered Leb his paw. "What's up? You know Suneki, if you keep bringing people in, we're going to have to add another level to the house." Lebby looked about ready to blow a fuse when Jasper and Kami came in. "What's with all the shouting? You know I was up late working last night." "Hey Jasper. Good morning Kami." "How am I supposed to get my beauty rest with all this noise?" Then she caught sight of Leb. "Well 'hello.' Who is this?"

Lebbaeus’s eyes widened even more when another male walked into the house like he owned the place. What did he say? he thought, This guy thinks I’m moving in? What? Is Koi just inviting people in off the streets? Lebbaeus narrowed his eyes when a girl came into the kitchen from upstairs and that other male that Lebbaeus had seen sleeping. Okay there were several things wrong with this picture…something very VERY wrong. ”Okay everyone shut up and sit down!” Lebbaeus demanded. He took a deep breath and jumped onto a chair so he stood over everyone. ”You,” he said pointing to Koi, ”Are going to explain what these men are doing in your house…and doing the shopping.” Leb knew he was over reacting. But he felt betrayed that Koi hadn’t told him ahead of time, at least warned him “Hey I’m now living with three other people.” He shook his head to clear it then sat expectantly, waiting for an answer.

Look, Leb. I was going to tell you, but you came early so I didn't get the chance. Please don't be mad. Here," She walked over to Jasper. "This is Jasper, he's lifemated to Alice. He only stays here during the week because of work. Jasper waved, "Hey, Leb. Your friend Kitsune and I are just friends." She nodded in agreement, then moved to Kami. "This is Kami. She has a twin she visits often. She stays here because she likes to be alone and I let her have her own room." Kami simply nodded. "This is Echelon. He's a musician. He stays on the third floor." She sat next to Lebbaeus. "See, you've got nothing to worry about. They're all nice noodles who are already involved with someone else, or don't want to be involved with anyone at all. Now! Everyone shake hands, be friends, and then I make us some breakfast." Echelon was, once again, the first to offer his paw. Kitsune still didn't why he was always so nice. "You can call me 'Echo.'"

He sat there listening to Koi introduce everyone. By the time she was done Lebbaeus had calmed down enough to be embarrassed about his earlier behavior. He usually acted so cool. However, when it came to his friends…well he got very unpredictable. The grey and red Noodle walked over first and stuck out his paw politely when Koi had finished speaking. Leb returned the gesture and shook his paw. ”Nice to meet you Echo. My name is Lebbaeus. I apologize for getting a little hot headed earlier, I was just a bit shocked.” He laughed awkwardly. Lebbaeus recalled that just this morning he himself was considering getting some roommates so he too could afford a nice home. They all stood there for a moment in silence. The female Noodle, Kami, was staring intently at him, as if daring him to break the silence he had created. ”Um…I had been planning a little party this Saturday. Would any of you care to come or help out? Echo, Koi said you were a musician right? I haven’t booked a DJ yet, maybe you’d like to apply for the position?”
