I noticed that Elapsed Dreams was posting her poems here instead of in the author's section, so I figured this was as good a place as any to post my stuff.

A Tribute to /k/
Forward we charge, for fire is chasing us.
Forward we charge. for battle awaits us.
Forward our swords, forward our guns.
"Forward, for glory!", the words on our tongues.
With sparks in the air and the wind as our breath.
Forward we charge, carving fields of death.
We're calling all soldiers, calling all ranks,
Calling all helos, all jets, all tanks.
In this fight we'll pull out all the stops.
We'll keep on fighting till the last man drops.
This our fight, our fight to be free.
This our fight, from the sky down to the sea.
From our birth to our dying day.
/k/ all the way.

Angels of Scorn
Our swords were drawn,
and blood was spilled.
The fields were wrought,
with those now killed.
We fought that day,
side by side.
Now in their graves,
our foes reside.
Our blazing guns,
and burning steel.
Clashed with Taint,
nightmares made real.
With pride, honor,
and holy light.
We carved a path,
with Emperor's might.
Brothers fell,
but we forged on.
We didn't stop,
until they were gone.
We are Astartes,
the sons of Dorn.
Our Chapter's name,
Angels of Scorn.

Choices
I hold a planet in my hand.
A beautiful world of sea and land.
Majestic mountains, rolling plains.
People driving down highway lanes.
So full of hope, so full of life.
Yet my mind is dark and plagued with strife.
There are two choices open to me.
One keeps me trapped, one sets me free.
On one hand, my life stays trapped here.
Protecting this planet from threat and fear.
The other hand, just as fair.
I crush this world without a care.
Slaughtering millions,
more like billions.
But I’d be free from my duty,
if I crushed this beauty.
And caused a huge genocide.
The time has come for me to decide.
Do I save this world or snuff out it’s light?
Do I spare the people or purge with might?
I’ve made my choice, the seas soon churns.
I close my hand, the planet burns.

Lone Wolf’s Love
I step from the darkness and consume the light.
Teeth razor sharp and eyes burning bright.
These woods are not safe when I am around.

As my paws pad across this barren ground.
I remember a time when love could be found.
But time has left me here to die.

Howling my sorrow into the sky.
I call out your name but get no reply.
Can you hear me calling for you?

I lie in my den with nothing to do.
Tears wet my fur like the morning dew.
My actions can’t make this pain go away.

Desperate for you, I search every day.
Knowing you can cure my dismay.
My love for you won’t just disappear.

The pain grows worse without you here.
You’re the one thing that I hold dear.
This lone wolf can’t take much more of this.

All I can think of is your kiss.
The warmth of you fur is what I miss.
When will you return to me?

Here are a few that never made it to a full fledged poem, most are just little pieces that started out great but tapered off at about 10 lines.

Roadkill
Silence.
Defiance.
Yet truth be told.
My blood has gone cold.
It flows from me like a raging river.
As my corpse is left to twitch and quiver.
The car was fast and I was slow.
And now my soul is set to go.

Crazy Sad Murderer
Insanity is like a poison mist.
Yet it grips me with an iron fist.
My soul is gone, devoid of a core.
I can’t stand this anymore.
Bloody wrists and tearful eyes.
I reach to you with sharpened knives.
Thrusting forward, I take your life.
Impailing you on my knife.

Now I’m Gone
I’m sick and tired of this endless pain.
You’re hurting me for personal gain.
That’s why I’m going to leave today.
I won’t let your bullshit get in my way.
I pack up my things in a travel bag.
I’m done watching you turn my pride into slag.
I open the door and see the new dawn.
The door is closed, now I’m gone.

Tools
A body unbreakable.
A soul unshakeable.
A path to guide.
A place to hide.
A sword to cut thy foes.
A shield to guard against they woes.
A friend to ensure a win.
A lover to confide a sin.
These are the tools to thee I give.
For thee to use, with which to live.

Lover
A single touch, a little kiss.
Coupled with feelings of bliss.
Strip off your clothes without a care.
I follow suit, our bodies bare.
I look at every curve and feature.
Never have I seen such a beautiful creature.
We come closer, our bodies mingle.
The touches now made no longer single.
Our lips collide as lust takes over.
And I enjoy the night with my lover.

Beautiful Day
What the world was dreading,
is now quickly spreading.
It takes a mushroom shape,
From which there is no escape.
Scorching the planet with radiated fire.
Turning the Earth into a funeral pyre.
What a beautiful day.

Space Marines
Armor forged of ceramite.
Weapons glowing with holy light.
To Chaos & xenos we shall never yield.
We are the Emperor’s sword and shield.
We are Astartes, with minds & blades sharp.
Protecting humanity from the daemons of the Warp.

Sniper
I fall ever silent as the time draws near.
Seconds tick by, but each one feels like a year.
I hold my breath as I aim down the scope.
Targeting an enemy that has no hope.
I squeeze the trigger, praying for luck.
With a click and a bang, my rifle bucks.
The bullet travels fast and strikes the target’s head.
His skull disappears in a puff of red.

I wrote this right after my uncle died and I realized that, though I was sad, I didn't have the slightest urge to cry or show emotion about it. This is one of the few poems that I actually had feelings about, most of the others I just liked the way they sounded...

Stone
People’s sobs are all I hear.
Yet I cannot seem to shed a tear.
For I am stone, set in place.
Even though you’re in heaven’s grace.
I am a rock, all feeling stops.
From my eyes no water drops.
For you, people flock from around the nation.
For them I become a sort of foundation.
I do my best to set them free.
As they pile tears and fears upon me.
Yet as a stone, I take it all.
And as a stone, I’ll never fall.
Come fire, brimstone, even death.
I’ll show no feeling till my last breath.
For I am stone, set in place.
And no emotion shall cross my face.
