Clerise's eyes darted around the island, taking in the stacks of materials strewn about, and the four paths before her. How ridiculous, protecting a princess. Before beginning the damned project, she wanted to see what princess she got-- and it was Gale. Precious little Gale, with a stupid little cone hat and a stupid little princess dress, fluffy and frilly and lilac. She was...she was so bubbly, and it was frankly a little unnerving. So she ignored him as best as she could, waving with a wince at the princess who was tittering with laughter. It was creepy, is what it was. ******** creepy. She sat in the observation station, chewing on a piece of gum, watching the onslaught below. She peered with some binoculars up to where her charge was was, rolling her eyes as the tiny Princess Gale crooned and waved a hanky at her. Really? A hanky? And where did she get all those dainty cakes she was eating? Was she even the right pronoun in this case? It had Gale's face but some boobs, and she was too far away to tell whether or not they were stuffed. Which, really, Clerise didn't even want to know which it was, given that Gale was underage and really, it was kind of unnerving to see the blond hunter so ... Well. Chipper. Clerise's attention was drawn away by the sound of bricks being smashed, and she immediately winced. Three of her defenses went down completely, and the fourth was damn near close. Ugh. SHE WAS NOT A CONSTRUCTION WORKER, FOR GOD'S SAKE. Status Wave: 112, 7, 2, 5 T Path 1 HP: 6 - 12 = -6 Path 2 HP: 1 - 7 = -6 Path 3 HP: 2 - 2 = 0 Path 4 HP: 7 - 5 = 2 Princess HP: 8/20

Princess Gale came floating down (not literally, but close enough with how giddy they were) to watch Clerise work, struggling to figure out how to lay the most effective pattern of bricks. "Christ. Couldn't you help, or something? Do something useful?" Gale just looked at her with big golden eyes, and kicked back onto a large rock nearby, sipping tea from a tiny cup that had mysteriously appeared in their hands. "Where did you even get that-- much is even in that ******** thing? Like two sips?" Clerise laughed, incredulous, and laid more bricks down. Balthazar was firmly tucked between her boobs, since she had left it in the observation station so that it wouldn't get covered in sweat and dust and mortar. "There. Get back up to your palace thing, now, come along." Of course, Princess Gale refused to move until Clerise offered an arm to escort her back, tiptoeing daintily back up the path, rambling to her about how really, Gale was expecting a different knight, but a girl was maybe okay, really, are you quite sure you have to go, don't you want to stay for some TEA-- Clerise ran out of the castle after barring it shut from the outside, ******** princess programming. The blond princess promptly crunched on the pumpkin pill, right on schedule-- at least they could do that right, god-- prompting the second wave to come careening towards Clerise's defenses. The redhead had barely made it back to the station where she could watch everything unfold, red eyes observing the damages. The first and fourth paths were getting annihilated, and the Princess was, honestly, in terrible shape from the prior attacks. She wouldn't be able to take more than one or two more hits at this rate, so Clerise would need to build some better defenses, and fast. Of course, Captain was bored by the whole thing, so there was no useful insight coming from HIM. Of course. This was annoying, and she thanked her lucky ******** stars that no one had dumped her in Moon. Life was a strange fit, but it was a fit nonetheless. Being sorted into moon would have been like trying to wear one shoe two sizes too big and with a four inch heel, and the other foot having no shoe at all. It was time to build again. The princess was properly barred up in the castle-- and Clerise did that FIRST so to not escort Princess Gale back up again. Of course, Gale begged her to stay for a dress up party, and PLEADED to try out putting make up on her, which only made her run even faster back down the path that led to the building materials. Clerise built like a mad woman-- she could still hear Gale's voice coming down from above, asking her if she wanted to be a lady in the Princess' court. Christ. Fortunately for Ms. Wilson, the last wave was awfully weak-- only one of the monsters got through, and Princess Gale was saved. She had passed. Oh thank ******** god. She didn't even bother to go say goodbye to Princess Gale, who was now singing a high pitched song about her glory, and faltering when she lacked proper lyrics. Which was pretty often, given the lack of intelligence the Princess Golems had. "I AM NEVER COMING BACK. EVER." She ran through the portal, wanting at least seven drinks.
