Taking in a deep breath, Rosiotti scanned the flat plains before him. He had managed to find a hill, albeit a rather small one, so that he could get a better look of his surroundings and possibly figure out where he was. He couldn't really be bothered to fly (in other words, he was too lazy) nor would it have really helped his situation. He was completely lost and only an exhausting amount of flying was going to get him back to familiar land. Besides, it was so much easier to look impressive on a hill than in the sky. All you had to do was stand there, let the wind whip through your mane and hope a pretty lady walked by. Of course...more often than not he'd be striking a powerful pose for absolutely no one and wind up slinking away quite disappointed. But not today! Today a lovely lady would wander by for sure. Then he could impress her with his studliness...and maybe figure out where exactly he was.

Mystic Lyric walked side-by-side with her father, Ziggy. The two had finished a night flight together. In silence, they walked along. They would say goodbye soon, and then she wouldn't see him for a few weeks. They both liked their solitude aside from the obvious bond they shared. Her icey blue orbs caught sight of a male standing on the hill. It was almost as if he was posing... This gave her delight. She gave a devilish grin to her father and walked towards him. She began to hum a mid toned slow tune, the kind that gave one chills if they heard it. Ziggy had noticed him too. Her dad looked down at her with an approving silent nod, and began to match her tune in a much lower vibrating sound. The two walked together towards this stallion.
Lyric welcomed the notion that he might assume the two of them were a couple. She wanted the stranger to assume so. They looked nothing alike, her and her pops. The only trait she had obtained from him, was her cold eyes, and her purple feathers, which were still unlike his. It could be obvious to some, but it didn't matter. It's her game, she can play it how she chooses. The fun was in the advance, weather it worked out as planned or not.
The song blended together in harmony. Hmmm..hmm....hmmm.......hmmMMmmmm.

There was a sort of buzzing in Rosi's ear. At first he thought it was a bug trying to pester him, so he gave his ear a flick in hopes that it would go away. But, of course, it didn't. It wasn't until a second sound chimed in with perfect harmony that he realized this sound probably wasn't a bug. In realizing that he had company, Rosi would have flicked around rather ungracefully if he hadn't reminded himself that he was trying to impress what was hopefully a pair of mares. Taking a quick moment to collect himself, he slowly turned towards the source of the humming, trying to look as majestic as possible. He finally settled his eyes on the pair and...his hopes were crushed.
He had played right into her game. He did assume they were a couple. It was the only logical explanation in his mind. There was never a possibility of a male being just a father or a brother or any kind of family. Not in any situation and certainly not in this one. Their little song didn't help to lighten his dismay either. Sure, it was a lovely tune, if a bit dark. But the fact that they were humming it together only further solidified the fact that they were a couple. There was only one way to play this game, and that meant he would have to stop being lazy. He'd actually have to work at trying to get this mare's attention. But she was quite a beautiful mare, one worth putting a little effort into.
"A lovely song you two are humming!" If he hadn't been posing before, he certainly was now. Every step he took as he slowly approached them was taken to show off his strength, his grace, his majesty. He had it in his mind to steal this mare away from her stallion.

Mystic and Ziggy stopped a few feet away, but not quite a conversational distance for her. Not yet. She watched with satisfaction as he took note of her and her company. A delightfully devilish grin was given to the male as she cocked her head in the most alluring way. Next, she kissed her fathers cheek, all the while not removing her eyes from the stallion before her. "HmmI'll catch up with you later." She uttered, having tied her humming song right into her words. Now she stood in silence.
Ziggy didn't even look at his daughter. He merely winked at the stallion, then padded off, still humming. It gave him delight knowing that Lyric had such a personality all of her own. He didn't condone it one bit. It made for great conversation.
Mystic didn't watch him walk away. They had flown long enough earlier in the eve, to where he would still walk it off before flying off to find his own adventure for the night. With a dip of her chin, to accent her practiced eye catching glare with the framed red lines of her face. He sure is a fun one. she thought as she watched him put on a show of his own. She finally shrugged in response to his comment, batted her eyes closed for a moment, then looked back up at him, silently awaiting him to speak or act further.

There were far too many mixed signals being sent at that moment. Rosiotti wasn't sure what to think at all. She had grinned at him, in a rather flirtatious way he had thought, but then kissed this other stallion's cheek. All the while he eyes were locked onto him though, as if she were giving the other stallion attention but her real focus was on Rosi. And if that weren't enough to make Rosi question what exactly was going on here, the other male winked at him then left without a word! Was he really this mare's lover? If he was, that wink gave Rosi the sinking suspicion that he wasn't very faithful...
His tail twitched violently as he tried to clear his mind of these useless questions. The thing to focus on here was that he was now alone with this rather coy mare and lover or not, he wasn't going to pass up the chance to flirt with her. He'd worry about the other male when he returned, if he did.
"Have I scared off your friend...?" He gave a roguish grin, not even bothering to pretend he was saddened at the male's leaving. His mind was constantly going over exactly how he should play his cards. Should he go bold and straight-forward, obviously flirt with her? Or should he hold back a little and try to woe her slowly? Every action had to be carefully planned if he was going to be successful in this little game they played.

Lyric watched as his tail twitched madly this way and that! A soquili with a tail! Oh, he is definitely worth all her time! She already increasingly considered him a commodity.
"Who?" gives a long dramatic pause, overly showing she was less than concerned with the stallion he questioned after. She gave a flirty shrug. "Oh, him?" she looked up to the side, as if she was considering him. Shaking her head, and turning her gaze, she replied: "I don't think he matters much." She gave the fawn colored stallion the most devilishly delicious grin, to help express her sincerity.
She was having the utmost fun! He seemed to respond well to her charade. Lyric had only recently started to become really flirty. She was picked on as a foal, and easily caved to teasing. Which of course, resulted in more teasing. All this did, was to make her the biggest attention seeker a young mare could ever be! She discovered that males gave her all the attention she could ever dream of. To put it lightly, she was a tease..

That sealed the deal. That one look. That expression which sent a shiver down his spine and straight to the tip of his tail. She was his play thing now, and his alone. Or he was hers. It didn't really matter. The point was no one would be getting in the way of playtime. Rosiotti dared to take a couple steps closer to the mare and let his grin slide into a sly smirk.
"Well, that's good. I'd hate to watch a grown stallion cry as I steal away his pretty little treasure." He was obviously going for the direct approach. No need to beat around the bush when she was so blatantly flirting to begin with. That and she seemed the type to respond well the attention. He hoped. She was, after all, a very beautiful mare. It would truly be a shame to chase off such an elegant creature.
"Oh. How rude of me. I haven't introduced myself." The tone of his voice made it quite clear that he didn't really care about manners. This was just an excuse to continue talking. And to put on an overly dramatic display. His wings spread out to their fullest, pausing there for just a moment just so she could have some time to admire their splendor. Then, one wing curled across his chest and he lowered his head in a sort of bow, "My name is Rosiotti. But, if you would prefer, you can simply call me Rosi. And you, beautiful bird? What name do you go by?"

Lyric enjoyed this moment so much, she thought she might burst! Nobody had ever flirted with her as hard as this stranger was. The energy between them was electrifying and exciting.
Pretty little treasure. She smiled so big, and felt pleasure in the compliment. "Awww." she feint blushing and tilted her head with a bit of shyness. She was far from shy, but he didn't know that! Even still, she had never had a compliment like that before. It flattered her, though she'd never admit it.
An eyebrow flicked, watching the display of his plumage. What she noticed, was the stray piece of hair that fell over his face, and tickled at the side of his eye as he bowed. He had good hair. Again, he paid her a compliment. Beautiful bird.
She preened up, and flipped her tail. One hoof pawed at the ground, and she bobbed her head. She pranced in place, then shook her mane. The jewelry she wore tinkled. She batted her eyes, then replied. Display first, then name, naturally.
"I am, Mystic Lyric, night elf, and musician." She stretched one leg out, bent the other, and gave a dip. Her dainty wings flexed up towards the sky as she did. It was a most elegant display. Elegance was something she had learned from her mother.

The bashful display, authentic or not, sent Rosi's heart a flutter. His compliments were a success and that bolstered his confidence greatly. And somehow he managed to look prouder than he already was. His head held higher, tail swishing gracefully behind him. Smirk even more smug. They'd only just begun and things were already going well. Better than any other attempt at flirting he'd made recently. Soon his ego would be too big to fit in its horse-shaped container.
Her display was impressive. Almost as impressive as his own. And while Rosi quite readily appreciated the way various body parts looked as she moved, it was the shimmer of her jewelry that really caught his eye. Even with such a lovely mare before his attention went straight to the shiny things. For a brief moment anyways.
"Mystic Lyric...A fitting name for a songbird such as yourself." He might have been over-doing it with the pet names, but they had just been so successful. He couldn't resist, "A night elf, hmm? I've never heard of such a thing. Perhaps you could enlighten me?"
He tried to tell himself that it was important to be interested in things like this. Mares always appreciated when your showed interest in their lives, right? Nautrally, what he was really interested in was something completely different.

She was quite the songbird. She delighted in his notice, puffing up her feathered wings. Though not all things were taken with delight in his comments. "Mmmmmm." she hummed in response, slightly uninterested in the lore of a night elf. They were a mysterious race, that appreciated the fine balance of all living things, and swore to protect that balance. There were some things about them that she attributed to herself. "We are Children of the Stars, shadowy, and secretive." she turned her back to him as she spoke, and flipped her tail. Her tone had changed, but she faked the enthusiasm back into it. Lyric wanted to mold the conversation back into a different direction. One that didn't involve her facing the fact that she was nothing like her mothers family, due to her irresponsible and free life. She was still young though, and age tended to mature ones outtake on things.
Having her back turned, she was convinced he hadn't taken his eyes off of her. She smiled to herself, and played this to her advantage. As if on a catwalk, she took a couple steps, flipped her tail again, then turned back to give him a devilish grin. "You want to get out of here?" Her eyes blinked slowly at him, and then she looked away, as if the question made her feel shy. It didn't make her feel shy, but she didn't want to show her enjoyment of the game too much! "We could, oh well, I don't know...find some dinner?" she shrugged, fluttered her eyes, then looked back at him, pretending to blush. She played shy, to appear to be suggesting a light dinner, but full on intended it as a date! He could say no, but she didn't think about it. Rejection wasn't something that she was accustomed to.
There was a few other Soquili in the area, none of which were paying them any mind. However, going somewhere secluded seemed like a much better plan to her. She knew of a couple of locations, but would let him pick the place, naturally. Stallions liked being in control. If she didn't like the place, she would finagle a new destitution into the mix somehow, and still make it seem like it was his choice!
The night was a perfect night for two strangers to get to know each other. The air was cool, and the moon hung in the sky as a beacon, lighting up the land. A breeze whispered into her hair, as if invited to a dance, making her hair move to an unseen rhythm. Above them, a cascade of stars were scattered in a desert of black. A belt of stars clustered together, banding through the middle of the night, holding the galaxy they lived in. Even as a child of the stars, she didn't know such things. It mattered not, they were there to set the mood, regardless if those that shared knew of the grandeur of their beauty. The stage was set for Act 2!
