Thoughts flashed between their minds like lightning. Catch Me circled the brush and leaped into its center. The quarry made a mad dash for better cover, and Cats bounded after it. The smell of her prey was virtually intoxicating. Catch Me kept pace with the creature, and at its shoulder, took a sharp turn.

Cats felt her prey's neck vertebrae snap between her jaws. She slowed to a trot and turned to look triumphantly at Catch Me. But the cheetah wasn't there.
"Catch Me?" Cats called. She spun around until and found her companion staring toward the east. The hunting cat's ears pivoted toward the trees.
