Water was something that Neil was still deathly afraid of, even now. He couldn't help his curiosity though, sitting at the edge of the lake with thoughtful eyes, chewing on the end of his pen while his journal was splayed open in his lap. Occasionally, daringly, his fingers would stretch out as though to skim the surface, but he always snatched them back before too long.
For too long, water had been a mortal enemy to him, and he wasn't so sure he wanted to experience that sort of pain if he didn't have to. Still, his own boldness made him grin a little. He really didn't get out much. The Cyndaquil sighed contentedly as he lifted his eyes up towards the sky, feeling truly happy.
How could his life get any better? He was learning so much about the world, and the people in it. If only all Pokemon knew what it was like to be human. Would Musharna help others like him?
He could only hope so. The thought made him beam. Scribbling some quick notes in his journal, anyone wandering just outside of the town would undoubtedly spot him. He did stick out, after all!

Having just got off of work, the whole day and weekend now to himself, Felek decided to venture out of the overly populated and crowded town to find that charming little lake that he would visit on occasion. Of course it was nothing like the ocean, but he would take what he could get. Water in a natural setting wasn't easy to come by around here, after all. Silly humans had far too many buildings and cement around... hardly any natural substance could be found!
His cloak billowed lightly behind him as he walked, his deep blue eyes sharp and focused solely on the path ahead of him, expression flat. He didn't look to any of the folks he passed by, even if they were staring at his stunning beauty. He was far used to it by now... and even if he didn't like it, he wouldn't give them the time of day unless they actually approached him.
But ah... the precious lake was in sight, and his tiny tail covered by the long cloth behind him gave a small wiggle.... only to stop as he saw another was already there. Internally, he gave a groan, almost glaring at the innocent Cyndaquil for taking his serenity that he'd so looked forward to... instead, he gave a wide berth, in hopes of not being acknowledged, to go to the opposite side of the pool to stand by, staring into it's not so endless depths.
