Before Toragakure ninjas roamed freely, learning from families, temples, and rogues. They weren't seen as noble, most were cut throat assassins. This all changed on the fated day when the very first sighted biju attacked. The nine tailed fox nearly destroyed this part of the world.

No one before now had known what this beast was or how to destroy it. All were called together to defend the countries and it was noticed that it was the ninja who were the strongest, the swiftest, and the most effective against this new enemy. In fact, one ninja whose name is lost was the one to win the fight against the biju, sealing it in a child.

Suspecting there might be more creatures out there like this, several ninja families banded together under one leader to create the first place where the art of the shinobi could grow. Toragakure, hidden village of the tiger.
