Death Resurrected It was perhaps like every other day for the pair; some sparring, a run and a flight. It was all just to find something to do to preoccupy them to just waste the day. The siblings were almost inseparable if only because they were the only two that could relate to each other, aside from their brother Set who had disappeared. The rest had dishonored the family, in their opinion, by finding wingless mates or had grown soft. Their mother would have been disappointed, though it seemed she was even starting to change.
Today was not extraordinarily beautiful, nor drab…clouds floated through the sky and the sun was shining so Isis couldn’t complain. Erebus was apathetic to almost everything; they were exploring new territory just for a change of scene. They walked for the most part in silence, occasionally commenting on various changes in the environment. But after spending so long together, they already knew what the other thought…there was little to say, rather they just enjoyed each other’s company.
As they walked Isis looked to Erebus, “Do you ever wonder what it would be like to start fresh?” she inquired, with inflection in her voice to denote seriousness.
Erebus’ brow furrowed, “What do you mean, dear sister,” there was slight sarcasm in his own, emphasizing on ‘dear’.
She smirked, “I mean…we are away from father and mother…but there is still an obligation, in a way. And you know how they are,” her voice holding a disgust.
Her brother in contemplation replied, “I see…no one knows what the future foretells. Next you’ll be asking what would it be like if you were to have a mate,” he laughed.
Isis glared at Erebus, “Don’t be ridiculous.” The female had gone time, and time again through heart break and sorrow. She was calling it off with anything that was of the male figure. Though Erebus couldn’t really talk if only because no female was ever good enough for him. There conversation was ended in the same silence, though not awkward. It was more just for the company, and they had grown to tolerate each other…their relationship was safe and comfortable. It seemed it was how they liked it.

Not too far away, a winged mare made lazy circles in the sky - she had taken to flying as high up as her wings would allow - until her muscles burned and the air grew thin - then corkscrew down in a wide circles as she observed the land. She felt her muscles growing strong as she did this pattern over and over - she had let herself grow content and lazy in the herdlands and being out, exploring, was good for her.
Even if her sister refused to come with her.
She caught a glimpse of two figures in the distance - the best kind of stranger: a flying one! She slowly glided closer, making her they weren't Kalona before getting close enough to start conversation. She flapped her wings proudly as she approached, flashing a smile that radiated confidence more than kindness.

Death Resurrected Erebus' eyes moved through the sky as he heard someone come closer, he was always on guard. His upbringing taught him that to be on guard rather than be caught in your worst of moments. His electric blue eyes narrowed at the female, rolling his eyes at her. "Another?" he scoffed, flicking his tail anxiously before turning his eyes to his sister. "Looks like you can make a friend," he stated lowly.
Isis' eyes roamed over the female her head tilting, "You know I'm not good at that," she whispered, chuckling softly. She tried to put a 'brighter' expression on, more welcoming. She swore if she had to deal with another 'ditzy' female she might rip her mane out. "Hello," her voice, her voice confident. "Is there something we can help you with?" her voice less than enthused. She could almost feel her brothers gaze burning into her.

"Good day," she mare said as she circled downward and eventually came to a landing in front of them, flexing and stretching her wing muscles before folding them neatly by her side. She let her eyes linger over each of the two strangers; obviously judging them on some level. "Maybe," she said in answer to their question, tossing the braids out of her eyes. "I'm always looking to make new friends," she said with a smirk that deflated the sugary sap of her words. "Lookit you two," she said with a puff of her chest, her eyes lingering over Erebus' shoulders. "Nice wings you have," she commented towards the two of them, despite her gaze.
