In the ocean, in his hive, Thalia sat in his room with his legs crossed, examining a packet of paper. He looked rather intent on the thing, looking it over with care. The thespian had discovered it during one of his many outings to Old Hemisect; it was an abandoned script, forgotten by time and left to rot away. Thalia, of course, could not let such an opportunity slip by him. Reading new material, finding new roles, perfecting his craft-- now this was the way he wanted to live!
However, the main character (which he had to play, no doubt) was something Thalia had no experience with. He was a farmer of sorts living out in the country, and Thalia could not place himself in those shoes no matter how he tried. It was such a foreign concept to the highblood and he had to remedy that immediately. Studying would be the key, yes. Method acting! Truly getting into the character and thinking like him, being him. Where in Alternia was he going to find such a man? Clearly it was time for a trip.
Gathering up several masks and attaching them to his belt, Thalia began to prepare for his trek. There was one thing he had to take care of before he went, however...
"Hey," Thalia shouted through his hive. "I'm going out on a trip, so I'll be back later!" He waited for a moment, listening for a response. Some distant glubs and blubs were his reply; Nereidad was always so worried about silly stuff. "Yes, I'll be fine!" He reassured his Lusus. What a pain, but Nereidad did an awful lot for him, so he couldn't complain too much. "I'll see you later! Bye!" Thalia beamed with glee as he swam from his hive and toward the surface.
Thus, the sea-dweller's trek began across Alternia in search for his farmer inspiration. Quite a bit of walking was involved, but he had heard that outside of New Hemisect City were rolling plains. Plains? Thalia didn't know much about farming, but he at least knew somewhere like plains would be good place to farm. It was all so wonderfully perfect! Even on the way there, Thalia practiced lines from various plays and kept himself entertained. Being alone was nothing new to the Troll, so he had many tricks to stop himself from getting bored.
Before too long, coming over a hill, was a farmhouse! Yes, he had seen them in movies before! That was clearly and most definitely a farmhouse! This was all just too wonderful. Gaining speed with excitement, Thalia rushed up to the property. His starry-eyed gaze was going in every which direction to try and take it all in. "Hello!" He called, still wandering around like a doofus. "Is anyone home?" Thalia questioned, but never let up his exploration of the hive.
Whoever lived here better listen to Thalia (and humor him) because he was a sea-dweller! And if they wouldn't listen right away, he'd be sure to twist things into his favor and make them listen.
