Her chest heaved as Polaris tried to suck air back into her lungs, a hand reaching up to rub at the droplets of sweat that had begun to form on her forehead. How she could possibly be sweating and panting in weather so cold, in an outfit quite lacking in layers was but a mystery now. The monster was gone, puffed into dust that now mingled in with the slowly falling snow. Really the only sign at all that it'd ever existed was the oddly shaped tracks, tracks that would likely be covered and indistinguishable by morning.
The senshi of magnetism had gotten away fairly unscathed, no blood or deep scratches marred the snow or her tanned skin. The bruises would likely take a few hours to form completely so all that remained was the tuckered out appearance of the senshi. Her wild hair disheveled even more than usual, sweat on her brow, crumpled and askew fuku.
It was getting late and she had taken out a youma, so she might as well call it a night. Tired, her pace was slow despite having a destination, her fingers reached out to try and catch the slowly swirling snowflakes. Beautiful, perfect little crystals.

Caelian was beginning to get used to this, to the patrols and the danger…though, beginning to get used to something, and being used to something were to completely different things, and she knew that. Tonight’s patrol had been completely uneventful. Not even a cat stuck in a tree or anything like that. She gave a sigh and stretched, beginning to think seriously about just heading home and going to bed.
As she was on her way though, she felt another presence nearby and blinked. Well, it wasn’t a bad one…she could tell that by the way she wasn’t feeling sick to her stomach…but, it felt rather strong…maybe it was Camelot again? Maybe she should just go say hello. Yes, a quick hello to whoever it was that was out there, then she would go home and go to bed.
The Venus page made her way towards the presence of the person she was feeling and let out a rather audible gasp. “Oh my word.” The girl was beautiful. Like some sort of…swimsuit model with hair that anyone would die to have…though. “Aren’t you could on a night like this?”

The tiny bites of cold against her warm palms was both surprising and pleasing as the tiny snowflakes touched and then promptly melted. Even after all the time she'd been gone, and all the things that had happened since then.. the snow still reminded her of home. Home in Alaska and deep down.. home at a star much farther away, lifetimes away. The whimsy was broken by a voice, breaking her from her thoughts.
Had Polaris known that the other girl was admiring her, she might have died of embarrasment. As it was she was mildly horrified that someone should see her at all when she knew how messy she must have looked. Her hands reached forward self conciously to try and brush back and tame her hair, a polite but slightly sheepish smile crossing her lips.
"It's a little cold, but I've gotten pretty used to it over time."
Between the very pretty, but not exactly normal outfit and the aura Polaris assumed the girl had to be powered. A.. knight maybe? Her eyes searched for a moment for a weapon to prove her guess, though she didn't find anything in the end. Reaching out a gloved hand after a moment she offered it in greeting. "I was actually getting ready to head home pretty soon though. I'm Polaris, senshi of magnetism."

Caelian nodded. That made some sense. Everything would take getting used to, and if this girl had been doing this whole…war business for a long time, she would indeed be used to it by now. The woman nodded. A senshi! A senshi of magnetism…that was rather interesting. “I’m Caelian, Page of Venus.” She took the girl’s hand and smiled brightly. “I’ve met a senshi before, once. She was small, and I suppose…” The woman laughed, seeming rather embarrassed. “I suppose I must have thought that all senshi were just little children or something. You don’t look that young at all. You can’t be over twenty, can you?”
Were there senshi that were older? It seemed that the senshi were just little kids, and the knights were the older folks…though, it wasn’t that Caelian had much to go off of, just Camelot, Shalott, and Ambrosia. And that other boy, the rude one…what had his name been? Remar…Remarque! Yes. He wasn’t very nice, though…maybe that was just a circumstantial rudeness…though, that feeling of wrongness that he possessed…
She shook her head. “Well, I’m very new at this, so, please forgive me if I sound…absolutely dumb. I’m still puzzling out just how I managed to get myself into this, and why I keep coming out at night. The pieces really aren’t fitting together well, so…” Caelian laughed, shrugging and looking bemused.

Caelian's chattiness and pleasant attitude were a welcomed distraction from Polaris' worries about her appearance. The mere cherriness and soft babble was enough to make her forget about her messed up hair, her own smile slowly growing. Of course it didn't hurt being told that the knight was new to the game. Polaris was always MORE than happy to be a dispenser of knowledge.
"You probably met a chibi senshi." She offered thoughtfully, though it was entirely possible the other woman thought 14 or 15 was a 'child'. "Most senshi that I have met are teenagers. But there is a small group of chibi senshi who seem quite a bit younger."
"I'm 18, but I was 15 when I first became a senshi." She offered matter of factly to the knight's guess of her own age.
"It is really hard when you start out. I imagine probably even more so for knights. We at least get talking cats and magical powers." There was a sympathetic musing in her tone before she shifted a little, letting her arms cross comfortably across her chest.
